The return was seamless - and even though they didn't have the color of the sneaker he wanted, he was able to try on one in his sizes & then the color he wanted was ordered. Just went up there in beginning of January. I got a $20 hoodie and my brother got $30 shoes. We've been coming here for over a decade and I always find good deals. Their summer tent sale is fantastic. I haven't been in a few years but I think of it often. If you're not a 6-8 hour drive like I am than there's really no reason to not shop here. read more

We were greeted on entering the store and told about the sale items and sticker colors for different discounts. I was assisted by a young lady who helped me find a better fitting shoe for my particular foot problem. Unfortunately, they didn't have the shoe I wanted in stock, so she called other area stores and found one that did. They will be shipped to my home at no cost to me. My husband, who has an odd shoe size, was assisted by another employee who brought him to the exact location of the shoe he was looking for. Then, they assisted him in finding the shoe he wanted. Went to the tent sale here in July and it was great. Los of shoes and plenty of people to assist you. The thing outside in the tent was clothes. All of the shoes were inside. They were all buy one get 50 percent off second pair. No real extreme deals like they used to have, but something anyway. The store is huge with 4 story open ceilings and racks and racks of shoes. Some of the clothing were good deals. It is more of an outlet store or factory store than a tent sale. read more

So, over the last year, I've become obsessed with a structured workout program. One much more intense than any physical activity I've ever done in my past. As a result, the sneakers I've always picked out in the past just weren't cutting it anymore. (To be completely honest - I totally pick my sneakers based on how cute they are and how small they make my feet look!) As my feet were starting to hurt in class, I decided I needed some new sneakers, so I took a ride up to this New Balance outlet. This is a big beautiful store kind of located in the middle of what feels like nowhere. It is very clean and has a very large selection to choose from. And not just sneakers, but a wide array of other fitness gear. I've been here numerous times and am always impressed by the friendly staff. They always welcome you as you enter the store and immediately relay whatever current promo they are running (today it was buy one get one 50% off, but also most items in the store were either 25 or 50% off!). Today, I had questions though. Lots of them - about finding a sneaker that works best for me and the workouts I'm doing. First, my very kind and attentive Associate measured my foot as apparently you can change sizes overtime. Then we discussed in depth what I'm using my sneakers for as well as what pain points I have with my current sneakers. She was then able to walk me around and tell me how the various rules would be beneficial as well as steer me away from the ones that would not work. Ultimately, I picked out two to try on (well - three, but one wasn't available in my size and they offered to order from another location). One was in line with what I usually select and the other was very different from my norm. And, wow!! Who knew sneakers could be so instantly different from what you've always known. Needless to say, I went with the new style. I also picked up some new workout pants and a couple tank tops. Can't wait to get to my next class and test these out! read more

A little disappointed in the return policy... Staff was great about ordering a pair of sneakers to mail to my home since they didn't have my size in store. Since I live an hour away, I asked about the return policy and was told a return slip would be included in the order but it was not. I emailed the company, no response. I used their chat option, no response. I did reach someone in the store who clarified that the customer is responsible to pay for the shipping cost of a return. Just a bit disappointing since I specifically asked before placing the order and was told something different. read more

New Balance is one of the last American shoe manufacturers left, actually maintaining three manufacturing plants in Maine. This was my first visit to the Oxford Factory Store; slightly larger than the Skowhegan store. They had several "minimalist" running shoes, including a trail runner that would have cost double at Maine Running or similar store. My better half picked up a pair of running shoes and some other running gear. read more

We stopped by during our road trip. The factory store isn't that valued as I expected. Comparing with the experience I went shopping in the NH outlets, I would like to say this place is okay to see styles maybe try on but not buy. Even it is a factory store, the prices of the shoes are at least $40+ even the basic style. read more

Selection at this store is wider (but still limited in my size) than other NB outlets I've been to. Overall, I do tend to have the best luck here. I like that they carry a number of shoes made in America; just wish there were more. I was most impressed witht he customer service. I found 2 pairs that I wanted but didn't have my size in stock. The woman helping me called no less than 6 other stores in search of my request. Though ultimately my size was out, I most definitely appreciated the effort! read more

All the sales associates are so pleasant and friendly as well as knowledgeable about the merchandise. It's a pleasure to shop here. We have an outlet store 5 minutes from our home but we prefer to drive an hour and a half because of the variety and the personnel. read more

Ironically situated next to Oxford Plains Speedway since both involve time trials, New Balance offers lots of bargains for the athletically minded. Service is informed and helpful steering you towards shoes that will actually fit correctly. While the prices still are fairly high for an outlet, one can't help but imagine that with the Casino down the street attracting more and more visitors to the area that this outlet might be the first of many to join it. The area needs more improvements as it is pretty down at the heels. read more

Bought three things on my last visit with varying results. Running sneakers for about $70 that have held up to a lot of use. I couldn't find the same model online but I think the price was about 15% cheaper than comparable same brand. A pair of sweats didn't last very long. It's impossible to say whether the wash machine did the damage or if these were imperfects, but they were comfortable and then ripped within several washes. A pair of hiking sneakers isn't as water resistant as I would have thought but they are otherwise comfortable. What I did like is the deals they run, I hit a threshold and got enough off to buy a tank I wouldn't have purchased otherwise. read more

I had an excellent first time experience at the NB Factory Store. I was impressed with the overall look of the facility, clean and products were displayed in an organized manner. I was most impressed with "Joe". His knowledge and willingness to assist me provided me with top notch customer service. I was looking for a wide tennis shoe and he walked me over to my choices. He measured my foot and explained how all shoes are different. I couldn't find my size and he took the time to look in the back for other sizes. Joe explained that he only had one size in the particular shoe I wanted and provided me with another shoe that he thought might work. Once tried on the shoe he gave it the old "thumb" test and suggested I try one 1/2 size up. Sure enough, it found the perfect tennis shoe. NB Factory Store has a great asset in Joe! Thank Joe, because of your excellent customer service, I will return to NB Factory Store and recommend it to all my friends. Tough to rate: the selection is indeed excellent, prices are good, and all inventory is easily available to try. However, of 5 pairs of shoes we have bought there over the years, 3 started coming undone way too quickly. NB shoes bought elsewhere lasted way longer somehow. It seems somewhat unlikely to be wholly due to bad luck; supply-chain quality control may be an issue. Those who live close and are in a position to return defective stuff would probably have no problems. Out-of-staters should beware. A sneaky thing would be to try a shoe model there, then order from Zappo's, I guess. Those are easy to return if they start coming apart prematurely. read more

Fantastic Customer Service. They returned a nice NB coat which I had never really worn and hooked me up with an awesome pair of NB 110 winterized trail running shoes. Great prices and lots of shoes in all sizes/colors/styles. Highly reccomend! read more
