Traded in my car with Jose in Nov. 2021. Biggest mistake I've ever made. Car I got from them wouldn't even pass inspection, whole suspension system needed to be replaced. CV axles needed to be replaced. Coolant system was messed up...the list is never ending. They sold me this car fully knowing this as Jose himself had the same car. Brought the car back in to Jose a week later because no shops would look at the car any sooner, Jose would not trade me my car back even though he put me in a death trap. Should've called the cops on the spot but didn't know better. This happened over 2 years ago and still keeps me up at night. Unless you have 0 other options, or are a mechanic and know exactly what you're getting yourself into, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. read more

Rodrigo was very helpful when we stopped by to test drive a 2012 Scion. The car was clean, and started right up, after Rodrigo said that it had been sitting for a couple of weeks. He pointed out a previous body repair to the passenger's side front quarter. Better in person than over the phone. Would recommend. read more

I bought a truck from them.. I had to put 5k to fix even after , I got there extended warranty.... (Nothing was covered)Was a big mistake.... I had to bring it back less then 2 days driving they said have the extended warranty cover it but it was within 30. Day lemon law.. muffler and spark plugs replaced they took truck 3weeks sat there so they didn't have to do anything else that needed repairs!! Truck was death trap.. If I could give zero stars I would in my opinion and experience with New Beginning Auto. I purchased my car less than a year ago. I was promised multiple things including a one year warranty since the car was older (I asked for this in writing but still a year later cannot get this, nor does it show up on their website under Warranty). I was told a list of things had been newly replaced on the car prior to my purchase only to find out by my mechanic they hadn't been fixed at all. I also had items "repaired" the week after purchase that I noted during my test drive but only found out weeks and months later that parts were used that didn't fit nor were approved for my vehicle (I have pictures as proof). I have audio recordings also of the man who claimed to be the owner (he is not, his father is) Jose Jr. telling me a noise I was hearing after he had my car a week is no big deal and just a cap that's cosmetic and not to worry. Fast forward and the noise was absolutely something to worry about as it was a precursor to my driveshaft snapping in half rendering the car useless needing $2000 in repairs (parts & labor). New Beginning Auto refused to respond to me and had his "attorney" who is actually a DUI attorney, Jorge Moura, call me and verbally threaten me and said I'd get sued if I pursued further action, screamed cease and desist and hung up on me. The attorney even said his client sold me a quote, "sh$*@ car that sh*&#@ the bed and that's your fault so good luck getting anything from my client." The last time Jose Jr had my car either he or another New Beginning employee wrecked it and tried to cover it up with stark white paint. My car is cream so the damage was obvious. I also have photos of this. He blamed the tow driver even though I was present and the car was not damaged during tow. I've now incurred significant out of pocket expenses in rental car fees, storage of the broken vehicle and diagnosis charges from a reputable AAA certified mechanic. Family and friends who have reviewed the business online based on their own personal review and opinion have now been threatened as well by the attorney, Jorge Moura, if they don't take their review down. Jose and his brother were great to work with. Just bought a $40k truck from them a week ago and so far so good! They took care of replacing some rotors and brake pads. Aligned the vehicle. And made sure to do just about everything I asked for. It's only been a week so I can't say much longevity wise but they were great to work with and I can't say anything bad about them! I'm sure a lot of people who review them are the bad apples but I want to speak on the good apples and say they are great. I'm sure if anything happens to my truck in the near future they would be happy to take of it. I didn't get the vibe of any malicious behavior. To add a bit of balance to New Beginning's Yelp page let me say I purchase a car from Jose and his team a few weeks ago and I was a wonderful experience. My guess is that New Beginning's sells quite a few cars and not everyone is easy to please...or for that matter reasonable (see below reviews). My experience was quite the contrary. The car I purchase was immaculate. For a 9 year old car it truly looked almost new. Jose also went above and beyond to ensure I was happy. He fixed a few minor issues I came across without a complaint. He even installed a hitch I purchase FOR NO CHARGE! Finally I Jose was easy to deal with and very reasonable in terms of a sales price. I came away feeling like I got a good deal while Jose made a reasonable profit on the car. Most important I feel confident that if I was to have an issue New Beginning would stand behind their car and do what they had to do to make sure I stayed happy. When I bough a civic from them the a/c compressor wasn't good they replace it no proof but does have a year warranty as Jose told me now 7 months later a/c compressor has the same issue even worse car lose power and have to turn the a/c on and off contacted them they won't reply I regret doing business with them please don't go to this place! read more

ZERO STARS!!!!! New Beginnings sold my 17 yo son a car and for a month couldn't figure out how to get the check engine light to turn off. The owner offered an even exchange with another car so my son could simply transfer the plates. At the last minute, the owner tried to go through my son and pressure him for an extra $1000. This after multiple promises for the even exchange. I even offered to split the difference but the owner here was more concerned with his own bottom line and chose to go the sneaky route with my son. I bought a 2005 CRV at the beginning of Nov. Overall I love the car however when I bought it they agreed to take care of the foggy headlights, new tires and re-charge the AC. They did install the new tires. However I failed my first trip to the inspection station because the foggy headlight was casting the light upwards supposedly. So I brought it back to the dealer and they buffed it again. Turns out both the inspection station and the dealer were wrong. There is a simple screw adjustment on the headlight and I was able to fix it myself. They also told me that they charged the AC. It is my fault for not double checking on this, but who thinks to do this in the dead of winter!!! First warm day and I tried it for the first time today and it does not work at all. And my warranty is over!!! MAKE SURE YOU DOUBLE CHECK EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!! BUYER BE CAUTIOUS!!! read more

Walk away from these scam artists! purchased a car from them and when they went to get it inspected for me called and said it wouldn't pass because of a bad tire and they had to replace both rears because of the awd, then asked me to help with the cost of one of the tires! (unbeknownst to me they threw the spare on and swapped the old one) drove it maybe 15 miles before check engine light came on. Brought it back for a bad 02 sensor which they tried to replace multiple times but never fixed it said if you drive it for awhile it will go away. every time they had the car to "fix" came back with trash all over front and back of interior, coffee cups and all. one year later I'm paying out of pocket to get it to pass inspection! please, please, please walk away!!!!!!!!!!! read more

First off, the gentleman that helped me with my purchase was very personable and polite. I like that it's a family run business and a smaller, more personal experience. I purchased a truck from New Beginning which I was told would be ready in two days to pick up and that it would be completely serviced. I was concerned about a clicking in the steering wheel, and was assured it would be taken care of for me. I was buying the truck for my daughter and wanted to be certain that it was safe, and to have it ready to surprise her for her birthday. I called repeatedly for days and my salesman was always 'out of the office'. He then called to say that there was some needed maintenance and repairs and I would need to pay several hundred dollars additionally. I said we had already agreed upon the price, and they had given me assurances that the vehicle would be ready with all needed repairs completed in a timely fashion. I suggested that this is a hard way to earn business and was told they had plenty of good reviews and really didn't care what I thought. Very disappointed and would not recommend New Beginning Auto for any type of purchase. read more
