I started going to a chiropractor in LA while I was pregnant having upper back pain. I had never been before in my life (my sister and mother went but for some reason I thought if you went once, you'd have to continue going) - I was missing out. So going while pregnant was definitely super helpful and after having a child, I need to get readjusted every once in a while after all that bending over changing diapers/playing with baby etc. This is my go-to place when visiting family over the holidays and during the summer. This place is also affordable and will work with patients with no insurance (which was helpful for me when I didn't go back to work after having the baby). Anyways, Dr. Goodman is great. He is such a great conversationalist, and it seems all his customers love him - just look at his picture wall when you come in and you'll see all the smiling faces! He seems to really try to develop a relationship with his patients. His waiting room is also pretty big (maybe I'm just used to my small LA office) and has a TV. Only downfall is metered parking - so bring some change!

She begins each session with a conversation so that she can truly meet you where you are and provide a wholistic approach to what you need to heal. Whether that is an emotional or physical release, a deepened connection with source, an energetic balancing or cleansing, or so on. Every session is unique to where I am at in my physical, emotional, energetic, and spiritual bodies. She always seems to know what is wrong before I open my mouth, but she always holds space for me within her loving glow. Emily has an incredible way of making you feel instantly comfortable, even the most advanced of wall builders, like myself. I have broken down into tears before getting on the table, had massive physical releases, and healed in ways I thought weren't possible. She has guided me through deep emotional trauma as well as physical trauma (I had abdominal surgery to remove 15 tumors in 2016). I will say it's not all glitter and romance, there are often hard lessons to be learned and dealt with, and they can be difficult (but always necessary) and she guides you through it with light and love. It is a really cool experience to have someone passively stretching out your body for you. I would recommend Thai Yoga massage to anyone who wants to feel what its like to have your body properly stretched out by a professional. I asked Jen if she could give me a sample of all of her different massages that she performs. She was very accommodating to my request. Jen used a combination of Swedish, Deep Tissue and Therapeutic massage techniques during our session together. I really enjoyed the long gliding strokes along my back of the Swedish massage. The Deep Tissue massage also felt great on my upper back and shoulders. I can't say enough good things about Jen. I heard burping in the other room before we started I was not sure who it was!! She told me she works with energy and when she feels energy she will burp! Not only that I had her for a post op lymphatic drainage massage. She had me stand the whole time and only worked on my incision. That is not a lymphatic massage. Besides the fact it is not even sterile to burp on me in my open wound!!!! I am still annoyed. Then she had the nerve to ask for a tip and when I did not tip her she texted to ask again! Awful all the way around! I have had lymphatic massages before her and after her and I know what they are supposed to be.
