I usually call these folks up when I need a ride to the airport. They're super reliable! Every time I have called, they have arrived immediately. And I mean IMMEDIATELY -- they are so fast, there's no time to even give your name or phone number. Once you tell them where to pick you up and where you wanna go, they hang up the phone and show up 5 minutes later. (Not kidding! One time, they said they'd be there in 5 minutes so once we hung up, I was going to walk to my kitchen for a quick drink before heading outside, but they showed up outside my place when I was halfway down my hall.) It's pretty fun, actually. Every time you arrange for a car, you can pretend you're in the mob. That's what I do, at least. The prices are lower than most in the area, but be warned, if you ask for a quote on the phone, the driver may have a different price once you're in the car. The dispatcher puts us on speaker phone and it becomes difficult to hear him, he's always distracted, and at times he's a bit rude. Even some of the drivers have complained about the poor customer service. What makes things worse is that we don't know who to complain to. Taking 80 yr old parents to LaGuardia, I asked car service ahead of time if they take credit card, they said they'd send someone who does, but the driver could not accept CC, did not have the technology to do that, and communication was hard with him because he did not speak English. I can imagine the disaster if I hadn't come along for ride and had cash. This is not right. If he hadn't come early (way early btw) and did everything else right, this would've been 1 star, thank goodness there is Yelp to hold the company accountable. read more

New Brooklyn car service failed to pick me up for my medical doctors appointment and said they didn't even have any drivers because it's a holiday now today Friday when it's no holiday the new excuse is that they don't have any drivers because my appointment is at 2pm. Also I'm very disabled and use a walker due to a spine injury and if they do actually pick me up they're late and at the wrong address and I have to walk to meet them which causes me a lot of pain. New Brooklyn Car Service is terrible. I have been using them for about a year; their service has slowly deteriorated over time, but today was the nail in the coffin. I always ask for a car with a credit card reader, which has never been an issue. I used them early this morning and the dispatcher said it would be 3 minutes, like normal. When I got in the car, the driver starts off with, "Ok, so there's an ATM over there, you need to get cash." Like...am I being robbed? I argued with him for a few minutes about how the dispatcher didn't tell me there were no cars available with a card reader, how I'm not going to pay ATM fees, etc. Eventually I'm going to be late for work, so he drove me to my bank (no fees) and I got cash to pay him. The kicker: I happen to be on crutches at the moment, so opening doors (which the driver didn't help me with) and getting in and out of cars isn't fast or easy. All in all I was 20 minutes late for work including time spent arguing, ATMing, and crutching, plus traffic that got worse as the clock crept toward rush hour. Honestly, if the dispatcher had just explained that he didn't have any cars that took cards and I would have to pay cash, I would have been slightly annoyed, but fine. The fact that I wasn't told and was surprised with a forced trip to the ATM... I'm finding a new car service. read more

Terrible service. Dispatch told me it would be less than 5 minutes for car to pick me up but ended up taking 35 minutes! The dispatcher also refused to give me the price for my trip from Elmhurst, Queens to Prospect Park, Brooklyn ($30) over the phone. The driver was nice, but needless to say I was very upset. I have tried calling more than seven times to speak with management about the poor service and have talked with anyone above the secretary in the office. Everytime I move into a new neighborhood, one of the first things I look for is a reliable car service and I found that in NEW BROOKLYN CAR SERCICE . Whenever I have called, they show up very quickly and that is that. I even used them to take my mom to the airport when she was visiting, so I think that speaks volumns. Worst car service for Williamsburg. While they arrive quickly most of the drivers I've had lately do not seem to know where anything is and end up asking you how to get there. The point of using a car service is usually because you do not have a car and therefor are not familiar with the transit routes. These drivers do not have the basic ability to do their jobs. Too bad I can't give it no stars!! Have used this service for over 20 years recently the service has gone down the toilet. First I called one day and waited outside with an infant for 45 minutes. Every time I called I was told the car was on its way til the dispatcher tells me the driver went off the radio and completely ignored the call. Could get you from A to B but you will most likely be late. Callers are told cabs will take anywhere from 3-5 minutes when they actually take 15 minutes or more (so definitely plan ahead). Also, don't expect a pleasant experience l, when calling the base you will most certainly encounter rude and nasty service. I would avoid unless absolutely necessary. read more

Their cars are always clean but they are super unreliable. They say 4 minutes and they arrive in 15. If you're trying to get somewhere in time, you might want to consider using a different taxi service. I called at 8am today the taxi arrived at 8:16, it is 8:25 now and I'm still not at my location which I had to be at by 8:20. The reason for calling a cab is to get somewhere in time, these guys don't understand that. I called several times within those 15 minutes and was told the driver was 30 seconds away, 4 minutes later I called again and was told the driver was turning.
