My house is a 115 years old. A bad paint job was peeling on my house. Most of the painters I talk to were to busy to come and paint my house. I got Ben Finnel off Angie's list. His ad said eight teen years experience. I ended up hiring Ben, and his bizness empire Renovations. Biggest mistake I ever made. Check out Ben's old reviews from New Castle Installs. Ben's previous company. The B.B.B. does not recommend him and they warn you. He charged me Thirty grand to paint and refoof my house. Guess what paint is peeling. And the roof is leaking . Ben is no where to be found. Am a female and a senior. A easy mark he thought. He knows my house is leaking bad. Doud't I ever hear from him again. read more

This company failed to pay its employee. Issued me a check an after cashing the check at my bank my check was bounced and my account became negative. The office in Eugene, OR then closed down. I now have a tax document sent in the mail to me for the money that I never received. This is the worst company I have worked for. I recommend any other company the business model is copied and labor cheaper for worse quality. read more

I purchased a weather stopper system from new castle. They are a master elite contractor so I felt confident in the process of purchasing it would be a good investment. The install was 1 day. They called me prior to install, the day of, and the day after. Appreciated the communication. read more

I had a door to door salesperson from this business show up at my house. His pitch in a nutshell was "your roof sucks, do you want an estimate?" After explaining we just had our roof replaced, he tried to argue that we didn't. We literally went back and forth with him saying "they would've done X, Y, and Z," and "I do this for a living [so I know better than you]." If you want to earn peoples' business in a door to door environment, then become a customer service advocate. Do not argue that potential customer's own experience while trying to flex your knowledge until you bully them into buying your product. Also, when you have people wearing your logo and uniform out knocking doors, make sure they represent your company well. How you treat people who are not your customers speaks far more loudly than how you treat people who are your customers. Upon seeing my review, this company reached out to right the wrongs. I always appreciate it when companies own up to their mistakes and seek to rectify them. read more

I've never written a bad review before, but just want to warn others. I got a door hanger for them so contacted them about a quote. They politely called me back the next day to set up a time and I told them thank you and that I was going with another company. The woman I talked to was very polite and understanding. Then I continued to get phone calls. A lot of them. On three occasions I informed them I was not in need of their services. I have over 20 voicemails from them and averaged between 1-5 phone calls a day from them. At a certain point I was just hanging up to save voicemail space. I finally had to block their number after the fourth attempt to remove myself from their list. I have no idea what the quality of their work is, and maybe they're awesome. But from a non customer with dozens of voicemails and my phone non stop ringing it was very frustrating and hoping to save someone else the pain. read more

We had a roof installed a few years ago and they did an amazing job. However, last year we had them install siding on our home and it has been a nightmare. They started the first part of May and ran out of materials. They came back July 6 and finished. Jen from the office came by to collect check and do a final walk through. It was noted that some of the siding did not match up at seams, some of the trim was wonkie and there were some areas where it was missed altogether. After not hearing from them for several weeks, we called and someone else came out to look. This happened a second time. We were then at the end of the year and the weather was not good. In April we called the company and found out that Jenn was no longer there. The person we talked to wanted pictures which we sent. They then sent someone out to look at it and took pictures as well as mentioning several other defects in the installation. After another few weeks, we called and that person was gone. This happened a couple more times. We spoke with Jackie in early September and she made sure the siding needed was ordered. We are now in November and haven't been able to get in touch with anyone at the company. I'm very disappointed in this company and cannot recommended them for siding. In addition we notified them last July that there were materials left at the side of our house and they are still there. read more

Salesmen came by early April, 2023. They said install could happen by mid June. Financing done by early June. It is early September and no word from Newcastle or the contractor they work with Alside, (based in Portland, OR; we live in Eugene, 2 hours away) as to when we might get our siding installed. Had trouble reaching people at Newcastle (they use a phone tree system). Have left many messages, with Karen, Brian & Luke. All have promised to call back in a timely fashion. Only once did someone call back when they said they would. Then they said it was Alside that needed to be contacted. After chasing down a Joe at Alside, he said that it was Newcastle that was holding up the job. Paperwork needed to be signed, which it had been in July, I believe. So, back to Newcastle. Can not get anybody there to contact us, so my wife finds an email address to a "higher up". He responded by telling us he had taken "at this" (problem) and we needed to contact Alside. I was an optimist, thinking the house would be finished by Halloween, 2023. Now, I am very pessimistic, thinking we got scammed. read more

The just finished their inspection and found some hail damage that the other place inspector 2 weeks ago missed. I was convinced their material and install methods were better then the other low cost bids so I went with new castle installs for my new roof. It was that much more than the cheaper bids but I'm sure it will be a much better quality roof. I'll write a new review if I experience anything different after they install it in a few weeks. And Sean Ohara the inspector sales guy was great to work with. Highly recommend. read more

Easily the single worst company I have ever worked with. A "representative" named Shawn came out and insulted my wife, our home, implied we would not have the money "to write a check today". All we wanted was an estimate, just asked for a bid for gutter repair. Also implied we didn't understand "coloring, why would you buy white gutters?". There are many other good companies out there, do not choose this one. read more

Loved that they showed up in a mask, as safety is number one right now. Otherwise, it seemed like they came at the right time because I know our roofing hasn't been replaced since the house was built in the 80s. They were quick and super friendly with their service. If they don't knock on your door, give them a call for your roofing needs. read more
