A family member recommended I call Atkinson's when I was looking to replace some windows. They could have easily just replaced all five of the windows I originally wanted, but they showed me an issue with one that would require some other work be done as well so that I could take time to budget and plan, as well as a way to quick fix the other so I didn't have to replace it right then. For the three drafty windows that were replaced, the guys that came out showed up in time, did a great job installing and cleaned up everything afterwards. It's now about three degrees warmer in my living room and I no longer need to bundle up when sitting by the window. Their prices are reasonable, and the installation techs were all fast, professional, and friendly. The mirror/shower door install only took about 90 minutes, and the window replacement was done in about 3 hours. I would not hesitate to call them again and would highly recommend to others. Twice I brought my business here with dates to pick up my product. Both times I got my products days after they said with no explanation. Today picking up something that was again late, I was asked to wear a mask. I have every other time in, but I just had surgery on my nose, so I can't wear a mask without a ton of pain. During a custom home build project in Eagle we had plentiful experiences with pitiful performance by a plethora of sub-contractors. Atkinson's was one of the shining light exceptions. In fact they were outstanding to work with, in particular their manager Isaac Gonzales who was on time for every meeting and expert in his recommendations. His team was similarly on schedule and on point for delivering mirror materials and installing a large glass articulating shower door in a zero threshold shower in a guest room. And their price point was good too. High fives all around for Isaac and everyone at Atkinson's. Based on this experience they will be our first call if we need more glass and mirror products. THIS N THAT: 1) Parking: In their private lot. 2) Accessibility: Accessible parking, level in the door and throughout. 3) Windows: Atkinson's also sells some window products. 4) "Barn Door Style" Shower Doors: Worth a trip into Atkinson's showroom just to see their installed demos of the newest type of bypass shower doors that operate on an overhead track like a "barn door style" hardware mechanism. This company is not like it used to be. When we moved to Boise about 20 years ago we used Atkinson Glass for a major window installation project. They were great. I remember Mr. Atkinson personally visiting our house to assure that the project was going well. As the years went on we occasionally had them do some work for us and noticed that customer service started slacking off. A couple of months ago we asked them to come out and give us an estimate to buy and install a skylight. I gave them the specs on what we wanted including the type of skylight. The appointment date was but then we go a call the day before they were to be at our home and was told they didn't install skylights anymore. You think we would have learned from that but we didn't. About three weeks ago a rep came out to give us an estimate on replacing quite a few windows in our home. The representative said he would get back to us with an estimate. Never heard from them again. Apparently not following up is their business model now. That's not the way Atkinson family would have wanted this business run. read more

They gave me less than 24-hours notice that they couldn't do my job, after all, and couldn't reschedule me for almost a week, which didn't work for my timeline. Then, trying to get a refund for the half I paid up-front was a nightmare. It took multiple phone calls and conversations with multiple people to finally get them to say they'd have a check ready for me to pick up--but only on Friday, which is the day they cut checks (?!). Mind you, they owed me less than $100. I have no idea how this shop stays in business if they treat all their customers the way they treated me. Two thumbs WAY down. read more

Some of the glass had to be customized and they worked with us to get the right solution installed at a time that worked perfectly for us. I had a glass pane in an antique lawyers cabinet break during a move. Atkinson's fixed it up no problem and for a very affordable cost. They warned me about the fragility of the wood holding the pane in, and that it might break, but the workers at Atkinson's were skilled and careful enough to not break the delicate wood panels. It turns out he quit and never passed on my info, so I fell through the cracks. I requested a discount because I have been waiting for several months.
