Doesn't look much but this place is so delicious! It's the first time I find a Chinese buffet joint in central Florida, mainly Orlando tourist area, that I plan on going back and eating! The food was delicious and tasty! I am going to assume it was fresh too as I noticed the cooks coming out and stirring the food. I loved the availability and options of food, rices and meats! What I loved the most, the abundant options of sushi! Overall, food was great and presentable. Service was great and everyone was friendly doing their job. Only down side I would say is the lack of maintaining of furniture and tapestry. I can assume the money mainly goes to the nice updated food warmers and the kitchen!

    Food is fresh !

We love this place ! Food is always good and fresh ! Staff is wonderful! We just love Monica she is always smiling! New furniture also !

I rated 2 stars because there wasn't much flavor to anything. I had several types of chicken and they all tasted almost the same. The General Tso's chicken had zero spice and it's supposed to be a spicy dish. None of the sushi was labeled so you didn't know what you were eating. The cost was $15.99 when I went plus a drink and tip. The selection is good but the lack of taste from their dishes was very disappointing. I'll give it another try though. Hopefully they were just having a bad day on my visit.

Very hesitant at first but surprisingly it was great. The food was good and they provide gloves if you want and the staff keeps the counters clean and for the price to get hibachi and sushi I would recommend.

We love New Century! We have come in before, and the servers noticed that we do not eat the rice that comes with the salmon and tuna sushi. They are so kind to bring us sashimi plates, and the service is always perfect! The hostess and manager are wonderful, and Monica is always fantastic! Thank you!

I fancy myself a connoisseur of cheap Chinese buffets (in retrospect, maybe the words connoisseur and cheap don't belong in the same sentence), so I wanted to wait until the 2nd time I came here before I put down my thoughts to digital, social media. Always have been there for the $8.95 lunch buffet (2016/2017) 1. Decent-sized buffet. A bit lacking on typical Chinese entrees, but there's plenty enough other choices too. 2. Some American food like pizza for the kids. 3. Tons of fruit! 4. Sushi selection isn't vast, but more than a dozen types of rolls out and pretty fresh. 5. Habachi I've somehow managed to avoid twice now, but the offerings look fresh and many other people were in line to get their food cooked, I was content with other offerings. 6. Egg rolls - disappointing 7. The General Tso's chicken was pleasantly & surprisingly spicy! 8. Hot & spicy shrimp could keep me away from Red Lobster's Endless Shrimp! So damn good! 9. Always have had happy & pleasant to mildly disinterested (yet responsive) staff to help me. 10. Lots of sauces out & the Won Ton Soup was delicious! Not the best I've ever had, but a decent choice (also, the only one in like 15 miles)!

The assortment of food is good. Lots to choose from. I wish that they had cashew chicken. Cleanliness is up to par. The service was good.

While, it seems that many either strongly love or strongly dislike this local, legendary, vintage…read morerestaurant, I'm going to go ahead and give it four stars! Once you understand that this is a restaurant founded in 1959, housed in a former two story home originally built in 1951, you may come to appreciate the history and understand the vibe. It is truly amazing that this historic restaurant has survived in 2026. I happen to like the uniqueness and honestylye-feel, as if you're at someone's grandma's house. There is plenty of parking directly behind the restaurant and a small lot in ftont of the restaurant. There's parking along the side too. I enjoy the beautiful plants and flowers surrounding the restaurant. Honestly, they can make for a nice photo on a good day. Upon entering, if it's busy, like on Sunday afternoons, you'll find that you'll receive a little card with a number on it. After waiting and listening for your number to be called, you'll be seated. Check the website before you go... You'll be prepared for the hybrid meal service. Some things are served to you at the table and are not unlimited, like soups and desserts. Some things are self-serve and unlimited, like the old-fashioned salad bar and hot vegetables. A server will hand-carve your choice of meat for you. Just "know-before-you-go" by taking a quick glance at the website. Is it five star food? No. Is it just homey country style cooking? Yes. They serve lunch and dinner. They are supported by generations of locals. Lots of people like to celebrate their birthday here. If you bring at least 3 friends to help you celebrate, you'll dine for free. Contrary to many reviews, I've never experienced or seen rudeness. In fact, I've seen staff taking the time to be friendly to guests. When coming here, you can't be super picky about the food - it's not a five star restaurant. Yes, the green beans may be from a can. It's okay, you'll survive! Enjoy the unique experience!

We didn't even stay after reading the menu and that says everything. They advertise it as a "buffet," but it's completely misleading. You're still paying for protein items if you want seconds, so it's not a true buffet at all. Feels like a bait-and-switch the second you look at the menu. The setup was confusing, the vibe was off, and honestly it didn't feel worth sticking around to figure it out. If you're expecting a traditional buffet experience, this is not it. Save your time and your money go elsewhere!

The salt & pepper crab and shrimp were both a hit. Some of the crab and shrimp were saltier than other pieces. But it was manageable. Wonton soup was good. Family had other things and everyone seemed to finish everything that they grabbed on their plates. From the seafood boil to chicken wings to lo mein. The dessert bar was average. We all ended up with our own little ice cream cup. Sushi was doable. Nephew enjoyed crawdads. The waitress came around and cleared plates and refilled drinks as often as they could. It was nice.

Fried items (French fries, onion rings, fried shrimp, fried chicken, etc) are plentiful and the options for seafood are diverse. Their hibachi station is wonderful and usually is my favorite. There are several dessert options. Along with fruit, puddings and other dessert they have ice cream too. They have various stations which add to the appeal. The staff is courteous and efficient. The atmosphere is great. There is seating at tables and booths on both sides of the food area and even a larger room towards the back. This time we visited on the weekend. The buffet itself is more expensive on the weekends because they offer more seafood. The server took our drink order and we went to look at the food stations. We both got egg drop soup and chicken broccoli. I got pepper steak, sautéed mushrooms, garlic butter shrimp, ripe plantains, fried rice and green beans. The food was delicious. Some food was better than other choices but that's to be expected. You can't please every palate in a buffet. My mom enjoyed it so much that she decided to purchase a to go container of food to take home. They brought it to her, she didn't want any seafood so she paid less than the normal price and she filled it with the food she wanted. They give discounts for senior citizens but you have to remind them when you get the bill. Overall, it was a nice experience and we'll be back soon!

It's located in a busy plaza with Publix and other shops, so parking is easy and plentiful. The restaurant can get pretty packed, but unless you're coming in with a large group, reservations aren't really necessary. The buffet leans heavily Asian, offering sushi, a wide variety of seafood dishes, classic Chinese favorites, and a hibachi station. That said, if you're not big on seafood (like me), you'll still find some solid American options. Many Asian buffets tend to limit those choices to basics like pizza and chicken tenders, but Buffet City goes a bit further. I was pleasantly surprised to see pot roast, mashed and roasted potatoes, and even fried chicken. They also have soups, salads, and a dessert selection that's actually pretty good. Come prepared--this is definitely an "elastic waistband" kind of place because you're going to want to eat your money's worth. The restaurant is surprisingly clean and well-kept, and the food stays fresh. The hibachi station has a great selection, and the chef is quick and thorough. Service is decent. Staff come around to refill drinks and clear plates regularly--but be warned, if you're not finished, guard your plate like it's gold. Same goes for your utensils--leave them on a plate, and they're gone. Overall, we really enjoyed the experience--the food, the atmosphere, and the fun of loading up our plates with a little bit of everything. Hope you enjoy it just as much! Let me know what you think.
