Since relocating to the Horizon West area, we didn't know where to start with finding a good Chinese takeout restaurant, and we had a couple of failures. Based on the reviews here on Yelp, we gave China Wok a try next. I was looking at the photos of the menu and stumbled upon a photo about the web address for online ordering: order.chinawok168.com. I love being able to just select everything I want and then go pick it up. I created an account, but I don't even think you need to. Once you've selected everything you want from the menu, you just provide them with a pick-up name and telephone number. They don't even ask for or require payment in advance. Note: The site to order on is a little clunky, so try not to make any mistakes or you'll have to start over from scratch. I mistakenly added an item twice to my "cart" because I wasn't sure I added it the first time because it doesn't tell you. I didn't see a way to remove the item from the cart, so I had to start over with my entire order. One great feature about China Wok is that you can choose the size of the entree you want. For example, you can order a pint or a quart of Sesame Chicken. It's nice to have that option because I haven't really seen it before at other Chinese takeout restaurants. Sometimes I order the quart so I have leftovers, but I was also able to only order a pint for a one-time meal. It makes it very affordable to get takeout more often! It only takes me about 10 minutes to get to the Stoneybrook restaurant from the Hamlin area of Horizon West. They had it ready by the time I got there, confirmed my name and phone number, paid, and I was on my way back. We've ordered from them three times now in the past couple of months. Each time I've tried something new, and everything tasted perfect, just like I wanted it. This last time, we all ordered the Combo meals instead of just the individual dishes. The combo meals (that start with a C and then have a number on their website) come with the entree, a selection of various types of rice, and then an egg roll, shrimp roll, or spring roll. Customer service is horrible. As I looked at the menu the lady walked away to sit down at their dinner table in the back to eat dinner with her family. I had to shout "hello" just to get her to come back to the counter to take my order. You can tell she was annoyed with me interrupting her eating. read more

Terrible food. Called and told them that there were something floating in the honey chicken sauce. She said it was from the pot. Upon looking at it closer it looks like tiny bugs. China Wok used to be pretty cheap and tasty. The other day I spent $30 and the food was terrible. I know everything is up in price, I get it. I ordered crab rangoon and half of the shells didn't have the crab and cream cheese mixture in them. The rice tasted like the cardboard container it came in. The only items that were good were the shrimp roll and broccoli with shrimp. It's too much to pay when it wasn't even that good. I do understand the price increase but for what I paid the food was lousy. read more

This is hands down the best Chinese food in town. We've been coming here religiously for over a decade. Amazing, fresh food! Some of the other reviews claiming the staff is rude are just not true. Just because these people are a bit introverted and english is not their first language doesn't make them rude. Go check it out for yourselves! We drive 35 minutes each way just to have their amazing pork fried rice, shanghai noodles, and the sesame chicken... and so many more amazing selections on their menu. We can't get enough! read more

I placed an order over the phone for pick up for half a portion of vegetable Lo mein and asked for less oil and to make it spicy and was asked how long until I got there. Upon arriving there was a group eating and more people placing orders to go and people walking in so I thought that was a good sign as it was my first time here. Once the line cleared up I got my food and paid cash because there was no tax on it if you pay cash. The worst part of the this place is the way the food is packed. It was packed in a typical Chinese container in a brown paper bag and I had it in my passenger seat. The sauce in the Lo mein seeped through the container and brown bag and onto my car cloth car seats. I then lifted the bag and saw how soaked it was so that's the ultimate disappointment. As I came inside and took the Lo mein out and had more sauce spill and cleared up the mess I finally got to eat. The box was packed, the food was spicy and flavorful and taste was good. Please fix your packing system! Either containers, double bag, use a plastic bag or a put a cardboard at the bottom of the bag. read more

This place is great for Chinese cuisine when you're on a budget. We got the sesame chicken which was delicious! The shrimp egg roll was also amazing! The only things from our order that need some work are the krab ragoons and the dumplings. The krab ragoons need more krab because it was pretty much all cream cheese (still tasted great though haha!) As for the dumplings, just be careful. A lot of Chinese restaurants will have dumplings on their menu, but then give you pot stickers which are made with wonton wrappers and tend to be thinner. These dumplings are real dumplings! They were very thick, so make sure to get them fried instead of steamed. The dumplings just need a bit more flavor and it's a hit! We will definitely be coming back :) read more

Ordered sesame shrimp. It was breaded shrimp in General Tso sauce sauce with sesame seeds thrown on it and two pieces of broccoli. It had no no liquid at all in it to put with the rice. my husband had to drive all the way back and they swapped it out but wouldn't take ownership of the fact that I couldn't even bite the pieces of shrimp because's it was so rock hard I couldn't bite it. Only reason I gave them two stars instead of just one star or zero stars was they swapped out with shrimp and veggies. read more

I have lived in Winter Garden since 2005 and love living here. China Wok is a convenient location for Asian food but the service from the young lady behind the counter is horrible. She has a very terrible disposition toward black people. I know a young lady that experienced the same from her. My mother and brother went there to order for some family members from out of town and she still had the same attitude towards them. We all witnessed the different tone towards Caucasians. But I would think it's towards everyone. Either she needs to have a different position or need to let the job go! Never will we give that restaurant our business. read more

China Wok is in the Stoneybrook West Shopping Center. It has been here for years but this is my first visit. The young women taking the orders was very personable and an asset to the business. As I glanced at their menu she offered positive feedback on their most popular items and added suggestions. Her smile was contagious and welcoming. There was a tip jar on the counter and as I was gathering cash to place into the jar a customer informed me that the cashiers/servers do not get the tips. Not a single penny. I am not sure who gets the tips but I am sure that I only intended my cash to go to the awesome cashier who personally went above and beyond to make my visit pleasant. Needless to say their tip jar is misleading. I ordered a large hot and sour soup, large sesame chicken and a large orange chicken. It came with two pints of white rice. Both of the chicken entrees were hot and good but the soup had a film of grease that was unappealing. Overall the food was good enough to return for a quick pick up of take out. read more

This used to be our go to for takeout in Horizon West, but the cooks and the women who package the food have stopped wearing masks! We did a pickup on Friday, March 12, 2021, and the only person wearing a mask was the woman taking orders. The guys cooking the food and the woman putting the food into takeout bags had NO masks on the entire time we waited for our food (for about 20 minutes). Not only is this irresponsible, but it violates Orange County ordinances. Shame on them for putting their customers at risk. read more

This is better than I expected. I have stayed away from this style of chinese place due to the very low quality of food. However, I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I got the General Tso's combo (comes with eggroll and rice). The chicken was not low quality and the cook chopped and made everything fresh while I waited. The rice wasn't that good, but fried rice rarely is; I should have asked for steamed, so that was my fault. The chicken had two pieces of fresh, crunchy broccoli in it. The texture was crispy and the sauce was spot on as far as taste and texture. Could have been spicier, but I've got a pretty spicy-friendly palette. The egg roll was adequate, not great but not awful. My meal was $7.99. I was stuffed by the time I was done. If you have the craving for quick chinese in the Stoneybrook area, this is your place; the taste, freshness, and quality was much better here than in Panda Express a couple miles up the road. read more

The best in the area in my experience. Great portion sizes, and I've yet to have any errors with my order. There is a reason this location has been around a long time, and that is because it's good. I've never waited more than 20 minutes for anything, and typically everything is ready in 10 or 15. Carry out orders are also packed very efficiently and secure. I appreciate that. I enjoy their General Tso's chicken in particular. The only reason this is a 4 star rating instead of 5 is because even the food that is labeled spicy really isn't spicy. Like, at all. It's worth considering if that is important to you. Note that the seasoning and taste is fine, it just isn't hot-spicy. My party has asked for extra spicy kung pao chicken several times, and it still isn't what I'd consider spicy and I'm not overly fond of very spicy food. So we bought our own kung pao spicy sauce to add when we want it, which works fine for us. Also, I haven't seen anywhere that takes Covid-19 safety more seriously than this place. Super Rude owners!! Never dining there again. We just moved to winter garden and tried this place for the first time. The lady who answered was rude when taking the order and when I asked to add extra ginger in my food I was told there was a $1.00. I have been ordering Chinese food from multiple restaurants over the years in orlando no once I have been charged for extra ginger in my food. When my wife went to pick up the food we asked for hot oil, she ignored her. Second later my wife asked again she rudely answered "I'm giving it to you". Upon hearing this I called her back to let her know she was rude. Her answer was "if you don't like it go somewhere else".
