    20. Hot and Sour Soup

The best Chinese food that I've had in a long time (I am from NY). Hot and Sour Soup is amazing, meats are fresh and flavorful and the crab rangoon is so delightful. Prices are fantastic as well. Just everythinng was so good. Not to mention, the business is booming and there are always people waiting for their orders. My only con here is the fried rice that comes with dinner combos - it's more of a brown rice (no fried egg or veggies). Still a solid 5 stars from me.

Place was booming Sunday night Good prices good, food , Don't hesitate to try on 1st try

Sesame Chicken with Fried Rice: chicken over fried and rice very bland lacking any real flavor. Two thumbs down.

This place was just okay. I had the Sesame Chicken with fried rice. The chicken was over fried and even the copious amounts of sauce couldn't drown out the burnt taste. The friend rice was dry and lacking any real flavor. Granted this place is very light on the wallet, but you do get what you pay for. If you're in the mood for Chinese and you just happen to be in this area, this will do. But I wouldn't go out of my way to stop here. Nothing to write home about at all.

This is a family owned restaurant. I was the only one in the restaurant when first came in at lunch time. Was debating if I make the right choice. However, after having their sweet tea, it was flavorful so that my confident risen. Then, the 3 chefs started to take their wok and cooked my food right in front of my eyes. WOW, fresh cook fried rice? I was impressed. After my meal, I felt guilty because it was so cheap. $5 for lunch, includes tax. They even take credit cards! I would recommend this restaurant. Please support your local merchants. From the smell, I think they use peanut oil, so ask if you are allergic to peanuts.

Quick, tasty, and cheap. It's about everything you need from takeout. Sha Cha and Curry chicken are both solid entrees.

Woah, I ordered the Special Pho and couldn't believe how flavorful the broth was! It was served with sprouts, cilantro, basil, hoisin and siracha but I didn't need to add anything to it. It was around $12 and portions were huge, at least 2 meals. We ordered the deep see sushi roll as well. It was good too. I didn't not read the entire description and was surprised to see the minced fish and that it was fried on the outside. The tuna and salmon were fresh and tasteful. The kids got chicken nuggets with some fried rice. Again, high quality nuggets, crispy and juicy. If you are in the North Belmont area, I recommend this restaurant! You will be pleasantly surprised

I got crab Rangoon, spring rolls, and spicy basil chicken with fried rice. The crab Rangoon was not super flavorful. I love this dish but didn't care for this one. The spring rolls were good. The spicy basil chicken must have had a hidden spice that my body didn't totally like. It tasted good and I didn't taste a lot of heat. I did a to go over. They were fast with preparing. I would probably return to try something else on the menu.

The Food- The Ambience-…read more The Service- I visited this place from out of town and the food was so dang good, I almost ordered a second helping of the eggplant dish just to bring back to Va. I didn't even get a picture of it because I was in a trance. I also had the braised beef noodle soup (pictured), top tier please visit this place. I'm plotting my next outing JUST to go here. I am a foodie at heart. My friend had the Ma-La Dried Peppers Chicken, that was also incredible. Everything has sooooo much flavor. The eggplant was hands down the best I've ever had in my life. Go on their website, the food looks just like the pictures in real life. It's also super clean inside. Just go, you won't be disappointed !

This review is for Sun's Kitchen, tucked down near LoSo/Lower South End, and let me tell you --…read morethese dan dan noodles absolutely hit the spot. I was in one of those "I need noodles immediately" moods, and Sun's Kitchen did not disappoint. I called my order in for takeout, and everything was packed perfectly. No leaks, no mess, still hot when I got home, and the portion was surprisingly generous for the price. The dan dan noodles here are rich, savory, a little spicy, and incredibly comforting. If you're not familiar with them, dan dan noodles are a classic Sichuan street food dish from Chengdu traditionally tossed in a spicy, numbing ma-la sauce with pork, scallions, and pickled vegetables. Sun's Kitchen does a really delicious version that's flavorful without feeling too heavy. The noodles have that perfect chewy texture, and every bite has just enough heat to keep you going back for more. If you're someone who's curious about ethnic food but maybe unsure where to start, this is honestly a great entry-level dish. Yes, there's a little spice, but it's approachable and balanced. The dining room itself is modern and beautiful, and now that they serve beer and wine, I definitely need to come back and enjoy a full dine-in experience instead of rushing home with takeout. The only caveat is the parking lot can get a little chaotic since it's shared with neighboring businesses, especially during busy hours. But trust me, it's worth circling for a spot. Charlotte, there's a big wide world of food out there, and places like Sun's Kitchen make exploring it easy and delicious. Get out there and eat your way through it.
