It seem like when you order over a certain amount they will not make your food until you get there. This has happen the last 3 times we ordered food. Yesterday we ofer 90 dollars worth. The website told us to pick up the food about 35 minutes later. We got there about 45 minutes later. Guess what the food was not ready. Had to wait another 35 minutes to get the food. Why even have this online service if you have to wait for you guys to make it when we get there. Overall that's my biggest complaint. Not gonna give them a one star as their food is decent. Overall not bad! I called to place a pick up order and I was told 5-10 minutes so I'm assuming the food is not made fresh to order. My expectations were low because of this. When we went in to pick it up, the staff were very friendly. It was extremely hot inside though and I would have hated to dine in but of course being it was to go, no problem. Overall everything was pretty decent. The kids lo mein was good and my son finished his plate. The broccoli was good but drenched in way too much sauce. The sesame chicken was drenched in way too much sauce as well and had more breading than meat, however the flavor was good. The rice was a bit bland but I added some sesame oil and it helped! The wonton soup was delicious. Again, everything was pretty decent and I can see it being a regular quick Chinese night. read more

Food is always fresh. The weekly specials, Garden Chicken & Pepper Chicken are always tasty and you can't beat the price at $5.99. Their Wings are nice and crunchy. Price is affordable. I always get the sauces on the side such as Honey Wing & Garlic Sauce. The pepper steak is another good one. I would prefer the beef to be cut into smaller pieces but it's no big deal. We eat here at least one or twice a week. Even though we live near several similar Chinese restaurants, this one is by far our favorite. Every time I've had fried rice it is usually dry and sauce is necessary. Not at Bamboo Garden! The shrimp fried rice was not overly cooked and had moisture. I ordered enough food for the weekend and when I heated it up I did not have to add water to it like I usually do. The sesame chicken was not dry but had ample sauce and was tasty. We are so happy that we finally tried Bamboo Garden! Both of us are pescatarian and have tried 5 things on the menu so far in a short time. They have both Thai and Chinese recipes. I hadn't discovered a Thai restaurant in the immediate area yet- so I was pretty excited about this. We are very pleased with everything. The food is good and tastes fresh. Portions are generous. The restaurant is clean and well cared for. Service has been friendly. Takeout is even packaged carefully. All around great value. They offer so many protein options for their dinner combinations, so we have a lot of variety to choose from with our mostly vegetarian diet. They also did not hesitate to accommodate a substitution request we had. We are both especially pleased with their precautions being taken during this pandemic. I truly feel comfortable getting takeout from this restaurant as they appear to be taking this thing seriously with their practices. They currently are offering takeout only, have a visibly clean, clear barrier around the entire register area separating customers and employees, they're wearing masks (properly), have social distancing markers on the floor and hand sanitizer available for use of customers. How do you mess up General Tso Chicken? How? Nasty. No flavor. Soggy breading. I took 2 bites and decided that was enough. The Rangoon was all cream cheese flavor. Also do not like places that have their young children working the counter. Those kids don't choose to be there....almost a mild form of child slave labor, do you pay your children a wage?.....if you want to be taken seriously as a restaurant hire professional help and don't have your kids doing it. I was on NextDoor one day and someone was making a great comment about how good the food was, then another agreed, and another, and another.....so I decided to give them another try. Much to my delight, I found the new owners and the food to be great! Portions are huge, flavor is packed and the service is great. They are extremely fast and always friendly. With COVID going on, they are only a take-out restaurant now, but I know there are several delivery companies who will bring it to you. It's worth the delivery charge! My measuring stick for Chinese-American restaurants are either S/S chicken or crab rangoon. My wife's is Rangoon and orange chicken. We have eaten here several times and never have we been disappointed! The rangoon has great flavor, not just cream cheese and onion powder. The S/S sauce is JUST RIGHT which is hard to find and the chicken is really good with zero bones/cartilage pieces. My wife always enjoy the food she orders. Why not 5 stars? The place itself needs a LITTLE work and they could use one more employee to cut the long carryout wait time. I respect the hustle as only husband, wife and son are the ones running the place but one more cook or a cashier can't hurt and could speed up the wait. bamboo garden has been my family's Number one Chinese spot to go to for lunch and dinner. We absolutely love the way that their rice ties in with literally every entrée. This location is extremely cheap and affordable for family meals. We have been loyal to this location for a while now. even after switching over to new ownership BAMBOO GARDEN has not switched up it's recipes orrrr it's delightful service skills. Also, they are now hiring for a part-time position as of May 14, 2021.
