No one reads English. They spent their time screaming at each other and arguing over the orders. No one greets you. No one tells you if your order is ready or when it will be. They lie to you that someone is making it. If you want to stand waiting for an unknown amount of time, maybe... If like me you have things to do and places to be, save yourself. My jaw dropped when I saw the total, and realized after I left the store that they didn't give me an itemized receipt with my order. Horrible food, later than usual delivery, ignoring all delivery instructions. Going back to the food though, we used to really enjoy ordering from this place. Not sure what happened, but the orange flavored beef (a chef special, go figure) was basically rock hard, over fried chunks of dough with little to no meat inside. The shrimp egg rolls (a "popular item") also mostly dough and over-fried. The rest of the items were equally unappetizing. They ignored multiple requests for chopsticks and utensils. Knocked on the door and rang the doorbell despite the request for contact-less delivery while our kids are sleeping. A bad experience all around. Such a shame. Not worth the calories or expense. I used to love this food shop years ago. Got the chicken & broccoli with wonton soup. Wonton soup had 3 large wontons in it but they were bbq flavored?, soup was bland just heavily salted. It was served with wonton strips, that were not greasy. Chicken was average quality, broccoli was not cooked all the way, it was almost raw and very crunchy, sauce even when just ordered had a few lumps in it as if it hadn't been heated all the way through. Served with rice that was only a conveyer for sauce as it had absolutely no flavor. Couldn't finish the meal. An egg roll is $2.70! They did look fresh and hot but I try to avoid pork. They still do dollar chicken dollar rice but wouldn't recommend it as not sure of the quality of it. read more

Their egg rolls are top notch so make sure to grab one or two of those with you're order. Both the pork and vegetable dumplings have great flavor in the filling. Absolutely horrendous service. Ordered my food through THEIR website which is run through the (Beyond Menu App). Ordered at 6:22PM. Estimated delivery time was for 7:07PM. Had no delivery at 7:50PM so I called them, they told me the manager handles online orders and they were on the phone and would call me back. 8:00PM I call back to someone who just said "your order is on the way" and hung up. I waited another 15-20 minutes and then called Beyond Menu to cancel the order. At this point it had been 2 hours since I ordered. They called New China and were told that they wouldn't cancel the order because it was on its way. 20 minutes I spent arguing with beyond menu until I finally merged the calls and threatened to arrest the delivery driver if he stepped foot on my property. That's when they finally canceled the order. Now it's 8:45PM and I need to figure out dinner for my family. Absolutely disgraceful. read more

We normally order from New China about once a weeks and that's for a reason . There delicious. My husband gets the bourbon chicken which is so juicy and smothered in sauce which he loves , I normally get the beef & broccoli which is very good . The broccoli is always so fresh and has that snap I enjoy . My son always gets the general tso's chicken which is perfect . There prices are cheap and the whole family truly has a good meal . I've had takeout from here twice. First time was a solid 3 stars with a possibility of earning a fourth. The second time was a little less than stellar. First time everything went well and my only complaint was the "shrimp" egg roll and 2 conveniently placed shrimp, one at either end. The middle was just a tasteless pile of shredded green vegetables. Fried rice was ok as was the mixed egg drop wonton soup. On my second trip, the inside was so smoky or foggy with cooking grease that 3 days later my coat still smelled of food. Different type of egg roll and maybe a tad better. Hot and sour soup was neither. All in all, the Chinese food in this town is way below average but this might be as good as it gets here. I grew up in Larchmont and am back in town visiting friends and family. It's been a long day and I stopped to pickup some Chinese food. BAD mistake stopping here. According to my iPhone it's 38 degrees out with a wind chill in the 20's. They tell me I can not wait for my food in their empty store. I had to walk around outside, in the cold for 15 minutes while they cooked. I went back in after 18 minutes and my food was still not ready. I should have left and gone straight to Hunan Larchmont. Mistake number two: I waited for this bland, sad food. While I am in town I will let everyone know that the employees are rude and the food is TERRIBLE. I'd give this place zero stars but Yelp will not let me, that's the only reason they got one star read more

After I sent the picture it took 20 minutes for a return call. When I asked for my money back (since Ive waited 1 hour and 45 minutes) the manager refused a refund and told me "I don't care" - Horrible customer service.
