Wanted Chinese food for dinner and this did not disappoint. Very flavorful, had the shrimp and broccoli, sweet and sour chicken, a shrimp eggroll and two regular egg rolls. We have secret code names around the office for different lunch places because of the leeches that never volunteer to drive or to go pick up. "Can I tag my order with yours since you're going?" ::with doleful puppy dog eyes & syrupy voice:: NO! So, we've taken to calling this place the Drag-On Inn. Not bad for Chinese fast food takeout and the lady handling orders is super friendly. I call these takeout joints the McD's & BK's of Chinese cuisine because they dot the landscape and the menus are the same from here to Idaho. "Do you want eggroll (fries) with that?" Dragon City stands out among them. Today, I ordered the Sa-cha beef lunch special and the spicy sweet/savory sauce goes well with white rice. They give you a good amount of beef balanced with bamboo shoots, bok choy stems & water chestnuts. They use a jasmine rice that had an odd taste though. The eggroll with the lunch special was surprisingly light, fluffy and airy today. For 6 bucks, I can't complain. read more

Egg rolls are awful. They should be called "cabbage rolls" at Dragon City. There is no scallion and no pork in it. The roast pork Mai Fun is delicious. While the shrimp in lobster sauce is excellent and with large shrimp, I love the sesame shrimp offering. Overall, it's a fairly good take-out restaurant. Just don't expect good egg rolls. read more

Just personable preference but the wontons in the wonton soup had thick skins making it difficult to chew, I prefer it when they're light and thin. Got the chicken and eggplant in garlic sauce and it didn't really taste like garlic sauce. Eggrolls were standard take out fare and decent. I guess it was on par with other mediocre Chinese take out places. Lady at the pick up register was friendly and food was ready when promised. Parking in front was easy to find, but the avenue can be crowd depending on time of day. I would probably try this place again and order something else on the menu. read more

First time there based on reading other Yelp reviews. We weren't disappointed! We had been alternating between 2 other Chinese restaurants for years. Both of them are very attractive, sit-down type restaurants that also do take-out orders. BUT the food was getting boring. We needed a new place to go. Dragon City may not have a fancy dining room but the food is exquisite! Full of flavors I had nearly forgotten, the food seemed prepared with a delicate touch. Even something as basic as an Egg Roll was head and shoulders above the rest. Not greasy, just flavorful. The Wonton Soup had a rich broth, not just salty water like others I've had. The wontons were cooked nicely and not doughy or starchy tasting. We ordered Kung Pao Beef and there was a nice Szechuan spiciness to it that lingered in the mouth. The General Tzo's Chicken, was flavorful but not greasy. The Singapore Mei Fun - curried rice noodles, had a nice kick to them as well. The take-out menu was about 3 times the size of the restaurant we used to frequent and I can't wait to work our way through it. read more
