Update: 07/2022 This is an update from my recent visit to New City. I used same platform to order my food ; Seamless...Actually the food was the same. It was good! I am always pleased with their food. Their udon noodles are really great. 1. Shrimp Tom Yum Soup was great! Shrimp Tom Yum Soup was great! great balance of shrimp, squash, mushroom, and other veggies :) very satisfying 2. Scallon Pancakes tasted as if they were deep fried. They were also very oily and soggy. Unlike other scallion pancakes I've eaten that where crispy. Will not be reordering. read more

Good reasonably priced Chinese. Sometimes the food is better than others (wish I knew which chef is the good one).

I ordered from here because it was the only place open at 11 pm. The overly expanse menu should have been a dead giveaway. Their "fried rice" was bright yellow! Bright yellow fried rice? Have you ever heard of such a thing? I have eaten Chinese food from Puerto Rico, Argentina, and all over the United States, from high-end traditional Chinese restaurants to the more casual Chinese-American delivery joints, and never in my life have I ever seen yellow fried rice. It looked like it came from a bag of Uncle Ben's. I also ordered their "mapo dofu", but to call what I received mapo dofu would be an insult to all mapo dofu. Mapo dofu is a delicious Szechuan dish with soft tofu that practically melts in your mouth in a chili and bean paste sauce that has just a kiss of minced pork to give it some extra flavor. It's savory, spicy, tangy, and heavenly. What I got was putrid. As soon as I lifted off the lid from my (messy) container, I was hit with a vile smell. I don't know what the hell this smells like. This was some kind of alien sewer smell. Another thing I noticed was the peas and carrots that clearly came out of a frozen bag. Not a lot of marrowfat peas growing in Szechuan. This place is an insult to Chinese food. It's an insult to every comforting bite of fried rice I've ever had in my life. It's an insult to the Szechuan Province. Don't eat here. read more

I ordered fried dumplings and they were 5.75 your usually price for dumplings around the neighborhood but these dumplings were disgusting ! They were all dripping in oil! Every time I took a bite oil would gush out and the dumpling would just tear apart ! Absolutely the worst ! They have a rating outside by the food department of a B which I didn't even realize until after I CAN SEE WHY NOW! I'm a born New Yorker who loves Chinese food! I moved into the neighborhood and a friend recommend this spot. It was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been ordering for two months (whenever I crave Chinese and it has not disappointed). My go to items (the way I judge a Chinese place): - boneless spare ribs (amazing) - steamed dumplings (delicious) - Wonton soup - hot and sour soup - chicken lo mien -Combo platter general tso (for my partner) This place is cheap, quick and delicious. Nice Chinese takeout place. A very American Chinese menu Sometimes I like what I get, sometimes I don't, so I just stick to the things on the menu that I like. I think the low main is good, I like the cheese wonton, the shrimp rolls are decent and I enjoyed the shrimp chow fun. I also got the Pork dumpling soup which was okay - the portion was very big and came with noodles, dumplings and bok choy. The dumplings in the dish weren't that good since I felt there was a lot of dough compared to filling. I tried the Korean dumpling which was also decent. The food is not amazing, nor particularly delicious, but its okay and its cheap and they deliver late They deliver late and have been delivering on time so I do appreciate it. read more

Food delivered wasn't spicy at all even though I wrote "extra extra spicy" in my order notes. Delivery person didn't come inside to deliver, instead made me come downstairs even though I asked him to come upstairs in my order notes. Also their food tastes like bland cardboard. AMAZING!!! It's under new management so it's even better than it was before. I've been coming here regularly for a long time and it's always been good but now it's REALLY GOOD. And the staff is so nice and accommodating. Best Chinese food is Bushwick! The steamed veggie dumplings are BOMB and they give you a lot of them. Highly reccomend. read more

We love this place! They have great food and service. I've ordered from the Thai Style section on the back at least 5 times now, and have not been disappointed yet. I especially recommend the Thai Green Curry Beef. They also do GrubHub. A big plus for us! Edit: They didn't include the free stuff with coupons from the menu because I used GrubHub. Apparently GrubHub charges the restaurant 40% so they can't afford to give free stuff if you order online. I still like the restaurant, but knowing that I won't be using GrubHub again. Bummer--I was counting on that food for my son to eat. I wish the menu relayed that info. read more

I've had better. Sure it's reasonably priced food and it's convenient because of Seamless but when I ordered the all-day special which came with two items, rice and side, and for the price that it was, thought I was getting a good deal. Ordered beef with mixed veggies, fried chicken gizzard, white rice and wonton soup. When my food came just a little over the projected delivery time which didn't bother me much, I'll have to admit that I was terribly disappointed at the portion of beef that I ordered. Kinda felt a little cheated too. All that was given to me was 4 small thin slivers of beef and a measly 3 bits of broccoli. I don't know whether they ran out of other veggies or beef but if I'm going by orders from other similar restaurants, the portions were significantly larger. Rice was in abundance and I guess they made up with the lack of beef with a little more fried gizzard. To top it all off, I opened the box and there was a single strand of hair on my rice. In terms of the last of the food, it was alright but from the disappointment I felt when I opened my box of food, I'll only order from here again if every other chinese restaurant in the neighborhood is closed. read more

Your typical Chinese takeout experience. Was delivered to my apartment in a timely manner and the food was pretty cheap. I was disappointed in the scallion pancakes but the lo mein was decent. Confused by the reviews that are trashing the place. I mean it wasn't Fig and Olive but overall the experience was cool. Maybe because I ordered so late in the evening, they made my food 'just right?' Or maybe because I didn't order anything spicy? (Which I usually don't unless it's an Indian restaurant ‍). Most importantly, THEY GOT MY ORDER RIGHT. Almost every Chinese takeout joint in Brooklyn has either omitted something or given me something I did not ask for and/or order. Just don't have such high expectations and this place could be where your next dinner is from. lol read more

I will never be eating here again. I ordered the General Tso Chicken and the moment I opened the container I knew I was going to be disappointed. The chicken tasted like rubber, as well as the pork in the pork fried rice. The egg roll was slimy and tasteless. My husband and I refer to this place as "above average Chinese food" because that's what it is. Solidly above average for a cheap Chinese place in the hood. I can recommend the bok choy with shrimp, general tso's tofu, sweet and sour shrimp, fried Korean vegetable dumplings, kung pao shrimp, and sautéed string beans. Pro tip: the coconut soup is vegetarian. They also have a ton of noodle soups, tho I haven't tried em. This place deserves better reviews! read more

The food is horrible here. Quite possibly the worst Chinese food I've had in New York City. There are much better alternatives nearby.

I felt like trying a new spot and the "all day special" definitely appealed to my indecisive tendencies. unfortunately, i was pretty disappointed with what i got. everything was just really greasy and felt way overly fried. (and yes i know chinese food is greasy and fried, but this was a level i had never experienced before). nothing really was that great. the daily special had seemed like such a great deal, but wound up being a whole lot of rice and two tiny servings of chicken. you'd be much better off ordering a standard dinner special from anywhere else. the egg roll i got was the greasiest egg roll of my life. like actually wet with grease. the cheese wontons were also overly greasy and barely had any filling. the gen tso & chicken w/ broccoli weren't terrible, but I wasn't a fan. both were a bit bland and the gen tso chicken coating was really HARD (again with the over-frying) to the point where getting it on the fork was a challenge. there are way better options in the neighborhood. i wanted to like this place, but i definitely won't be ordering from here again. read more
