When my husband was recently (3/5) charged three times (timestamped within one second, according to our representative at ESL Federal Credit Union) attempting to make a payment through NCF's online portal, we contacted NCF to help correct the error. I was treated very rudely by all three customer representatives, Lynn, Rachel and Portia, two of whom identified themselves as "managers." Flatly refusing to refund the two duplicate payments, we are now forced to pursue action through the Credit Union by filing an Unauthorized ACH Transaction report. Thankfully the Credit Union agreed to waive the overdraft fees caused by the two duplicate charges. After speaking with our representative at ESL Federal Credit union I tried to again contact NCF in an effort to provide them with a printed transaction statement showing the erroneous charges - but I was unable to reach the manager as she was "not at her desk" and I was advised to call at a later date. I will happily revise this review once we receive some consideration from NCF with regards to this obviously mistaken multiple charge. read more

They harassed my everyday, throughout the day, for my car payments after I lost my job due to the pandemic. I notified them that not only was I out of a job, but I was also facing homelessness and the only assistance they could provide me was the comfort of knowing that my payment date was extended a week. Love how they cared for their customers! So for MONTHS (during a pandemic that led to millions of people being without jobs) they called me everyday; morning, noon, and night. This was the most stressful and depressing time I've ever been in in my life. I can honestly say that they are typical loan sharks. I want nothing more than to be free from their shackles. read more

Worked with dealer to commit grand larceny. Was buying a 8500 car, had 3000 to put down...and only needed to finace 5493. I then was told ncfc required me to add a 16% flat fee to finance, needed 1000 more down. So they wont approve my 5493 with 3000 down but will approve 7500 after their own fees were added? Those extra fees plus 25% interest. How you gonna charge interest on finance fees? Thats calculated at 14,008 to finance 5493. Grand Larceny. How bout you add the 1000 more you made me put down to the balance of the loan so that i only need to finance 3493, and save me 3000 in interest. I'd sent in the Pay-Off amount with a Bank Check of $3,140.00 through the USPS Prority Mail and showed it was delivered on August 15th. to New City Funding which they cashed on August 18th through the bank in which it was issued. When I checked with The New City Funding on September 2nd. The New City Funding hadn't credit my account nor do they know where the chdck went! I'm still waiting for the manager to call me back!! This company is literally loan sharks. They try to strong arm peole. I got a loan from them. When I was in an accident they refused to allow me to sign off on insurance check for the shop I wanted repairs done in. Then called and threatened me at which point I park the car away from my home and told them where it was to come take it. They have held my credit hostage since then. Even after receiving the insurance money and auction price. This was also after they conned me into resigning loan contract I made mistake of missing that they had added 15% to the interest rate. I am not certain what the negative reviews are about? I received my second loan in 10 years from them without issues. I pay my note on time, nobody harasses me nor are they rude. Sure the rates are absurdly high, but you do not go to them if you have good credit. I think we all be slightly more humbled that someone is willing to give us a car when no one else can. If you do not like the policies then save your money in a bank or a jar and buy a car. File bankruptcy or repair your credit, but do not be angry at the company that is willing to take a risk on loaning you money when no one else will. It is not called a High Risk Loan for nothing! And as far as the delivery driver giving this company a 1 star rating because the staff didn't give you a good tip, you are just plain dumb! That is not what Yelp is for! BE AWARE ITS NOT REPORTED AS A LOAN I purchased a BMW through them 3 years ago. I am young and building credit so I monitor my credit very closely especially when something is supposed to be helping my credit. The first 3 months of having the car and paying all payments on time or within their grace period for reporting, I seen zero change in my credit score. I was confused at first but after speaking with my parents they informed me that it should've changed. The next month when making my payment I inquired with an agent about it, and she explained they report monthly BUT only to experian. I thought this explained everything and I just needed to check my score with experian, which by the way isn't free on credit monitoring apps like Transunion or Equifax are. I paid the fee to check and to my surprise the loan was there and my score was higher, not as high as I expected it to be but higher. BUT something else caught my eye with the credit report. The loan was listed as an INSTALLMENT not auto loan. Meaning its like I never bought a car to begin with anyways. Now looping around 3 years later my score has risen, still inconsistent, and it still looks like I'm a first time car buyer as I'm trying to trade in the car for a new one. THIS is what annoys me, I'm not someone credit challenged I know it well and I'm trying to build credit but things like this delay progression, if the reporting would be corrected I would have zero issues now. Funny thing is, I bet they still would report a repossession as such even though its not even really an Auto Loan. read more

If I could give this company 0 stars I would. This company is the most shady company I have ever dealt with in my entire life. This is my first vehicle loan and I am a mother of 5 kids and my husband and I own our own landscaping business. I fell on some hard times and tried working a deal out with them and they agreed to the deal and said they would put the account on hold so the repo truck did not come out and try to take it. I have a list of repairs needed to this vehicle that is almost $5000.And this truck is a 2006 so it is 11 years old. Well needless to say I got home from working yesterday and was waiting for my kids to get done at their after school church program so I could go get them and go make the payment and low and behold in pulls the repo truck. Being this is our only vehicle and is also our work vehicle we use to go to and from work and doctors appts for my kids I was extremely upset. So I told the repo man they were supposed to put it on hold and he said they never received a call or email. So I called new city funding and spoke with Bruce my loan advisor and he said he wasn't sure why they were there and put me on hold to go talk to his boss. Well when he came back on the phone he was advised by his boss to let the repo company take my truck!!!! So they renigged on a verbal agreement they gave me?!?!?! It is a week before Thanksgiving, less than a month before Christmas and I have 5 children, no vehicle to work, so that means no money and no way to get to store to get basic necessities or anything for my children and it is cold weather and without a vehicle no way to get heat for my pellet stove which keeps my kids warm at night. I have a child with learning disabilities and requires various doctors appts all the time. Heed my warning and NEVER EVER believe anything that comes out of the mouths of this company and don't even sign a loan with these guys.... They are extremely rude, heartless, and scam artists. The first advisor I had Bethann was down right nasty with any conversation had with her, she would call and send emails days before my payment was even due. They leave nasty harassing messages with you and your references. Personally owning a business and knowing how to handle business THIS IS NOT how u treat people. They work with shady car dealerships that sell vehicles that have numerous mechanical issues that they hide and then try to cobjob the problem. They prey on people with no credit or bad credit. They are worse then a buy here pay here company. I hope when you read this review it helps you steer away from this shady, nasty, rude, and deceiving place they call a company. It is like throwing yourself and family to a pack of rabid wolves. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB too. So please take this as a fair and honest warning and I will be sharing this on every social media site out there to warn as many innocent people as I can. read more
