I called back today to see if they could take a credit card and was told yes, but I needed to confirm setting up the service with the homeowner. When I called back I got a machine whereas I had always spoken to a human right away on my previous calls. So, I figured I would just keep calling back every few minutes until I could speak to a human. Typically in most businesses this isn't an issue, especially if they have this kind of "press this number to go here" answering machine. Not this time. same person as before answered as before and told me how rude I was to keep calling. This doesn't seem like a good model for business retention. The price is right, but the customer service needs work.

I don't live in Kansas City, I actually live in Los Angeles, however I needed to copy a Wink Haus key (which is rare in the US but common I think in Europe). In any case, I found Heart of America Locksmith through Yelp and Randy had posted a picture of a key blank that was similar to what I was looking for. I called and I asked if he could make a copy based on a photo which he said he wouldn't (in retrospect, copying a key from a photo is probably illegal now that I think about it). However, he did offer to look at the pictures of my key and see if he had a blank that matched which he could send to me. After I sent him photos of my key however, he determined that the blanks he had were similar but not the same and sent me a picture of what he had. He then gave me a suggestion for which blank I might be looking for though.
