I called them, made an appt for 4 days later and they said they'd be here 11-3. I came home at 11:00 to wait. My time is no more or less valuable than others but if I make an appt, I don't want to be blown off. I call at 4:00 and the first thing they want to do is reschedule me. I'd already taken time off! They said they'd get back to me with an ETA and I didn't get anything. They really didn't seem to care so I guess they won't care about my honest review. It's not like I was asking for same day service. Professionals don't do this. If there's a problem, a professional will call you and make you aware of the problem. They didn't call. I had to call them and when they told me they'd put me on the schedule first thing the following day, I said NO! I waited 5 hours before I called. I've called another company and I'll edit this review after the work is completed. The MOORES DOORS COMPANY HAS NO PROBLEMS WASTING YOUR TIME SO DON'T LET THEM. Don't do business with people like these who don't care if they waste your time. There are better companies so use another company! read more

Called at noon on Sunday of holiday weekend expecting to get a voice-mail. Instead, Mark answered and was working on another door a few miles away. He showed up within the hour and fixed my door in an hour as well. I knew my torsion spring was broken but decided to take care of both while he was here. I explained that the door opener seemed to struggle some for the several months, but I was not sure the correct springs were installed by the builder. He looked at the springs and agreed that he had a larger spring that would make it easier for opener and last several thousand more openings. Mark was very quick, clean, and thorough through the whole process. He lubricated every single part on both my doors not just the one that was broken. He adjusted the chain on one opener. Then he literally adjusted every single hinge until the door was rolling smooth as ever and very little noise!! Would highly recommend him! Even heard him give out a competitors name and number to contact for someone who called out of his service area. Could have easily said he doesn't work in that area and been done. read more

Contacted Mark at 7:30 Monday evening to report a malfunctioning garage door opener (clicking sounds on chain drive and door not completely closing). Stated he would be out Tuesday. Received a call stating he would arrive in 30 minutes. Mark inspected and found 'bird's nest' material wrapped around the garage door opener gears which made sense being we had found a bird's nest on top of our opener months ago. He inspected all components of the garage system, greased, oiled and tightened all screws within the system. I found Moores Doors from Yelp reviews. I called Mark this past Monday a.m. and he stated he will try and come out same day for an estimate. Mark called and then came over Monday afternoon. He spent 2 hours here and was amazing. I thought I may have needed a new garage door opener BUT Mark stated "Why buy something you don't need". Our garage door spring broke this morning. We called him at 7pm and he came right away to fix our garage door. I Called this guy first thing in the morning at 8:00 am for a maintenance job, he said he'd come out on the same day, but refused to give an ETA other than in the afternoon. He didn't show up all afternoon and by 4:40pm I called him asking if he'd still come, he said he'd head my way next, I told him come right over I'm waiting for you. At 5:30pm I missed a call from him and got a voice message saying he's on the way. When I called him back 20 minutes later, he was angry at me for Not picking up and wasting his time!! When I told him, I told you to come right over, his angry words were: "I just pissed half hour waiting for you" and he hung up the phone on me. Just bad customer service. Mark came out when he said he would, repaired damage from broken springs/cables, and left the door running smoother and quieter than it has since the day of its installation. And he charged a small fraction of the quote from a bigger-name company that would have exceeded the cost of a new door. I can't recommend Mark highly enough. You do need to be ready with cash or check, no credit cards, but the outcome is definitely worth it. I wouldn't put much stock in the prima-donna comments here from people who apparently wanted things done right now, for free. read more

He loses one star for not being able to take any kind of electronic payment -- cash or paper check only. A spring on one of our doors broke. After first calling the big-name company that installed the doors years ago, and getting a quote of $300 per door -- and not able to do for two more days, found Mark and Moores Doors in Yelp. He did it that day and both doors at about 40% less. It's obvious he knows what he's talking about, plus he took the time to clean the rollers and fix an issue with the opener...without adding to his original quote. I don't usually write a review, but I had an interaction today and it left me flabbergasted especially since this business had received so many positive reviews on yelp. I call Moores Doors and Mark answered, I told him I wanted to make an appointment to have my garage door repaired. He asked what was the garage door doing? I stated that the garage door would go down and then it would come halfway up and stop leaving the door halfway opened. He told me that I needed a new garage door opener or I have the option of getting a new electronic panel. I ask if he was sure I said because the last time that something similar to this happened the sensors were off. He told me that he didn't want to waste his time nor my money by coming out. And it would be best for me to purchase a new garage opener (he asked how old it was I said I guessed it was around 20 years old because that is the age of the house, he stated that they are old meant to last about 10 years and he suggested I purchase a Chamberlain) which would be around $200 or so, and that he could install it for $200 or the place that I purchased the opener from may have someone contracted to do the install for me. I was in shock that someone who repairs garage doors would not at least come and look at the door, but diagnose the problem over the phone without seeing the actual door. So I decided to search the Internet about the problem that I was having with the garage door and see what possible solutions were out there (to see if what Mark said was true). No where In my research did I come across what Mark said but I did come across several videos on what to do to solve my problem. So once I got home from work, I tried the different methods that were suggested online. Lo and behold the first one I tired worked, and now my garage door is working perfectly and it took less than five minutes. I wanted others to be aware of my experience, so that if they are given the same suggestion that they at least speak with another garage door company or go to the Internet and look for possible solutions. read more

My wife gave me a frantic call about the gargage door not closing properly. You know the call drop everything and get it fixed. Got home at 6:30 pm and found one of the cables had snapped. Oh crap! cars would have to stay outside overnight. I went inside and searched for a door company and came up with Moore's Door company. Saw they were closeby to my home. I called the number expecting voice mail and the phone was answered by the Owner Mark. I figured he would tell me call him in the morning. He did not. He infact said he was still working and could be at my home within an hours. We discused the price and what was needed. Less than an hour later he arrived and got to work. Said he would use a heavier cable and went to work. about an hour later he was all done. Mark checked the door over and greased the rollers. The door was again working and crises over. You can imagine my chagrin to receive a call from my wife to tell me that she had backed out of the garage with the garage door still down. With dollar signs and insurance hikes in mind, I contacted Moore's Doors with a great amount of trepidation. About an hour later, Mark knocked on my door and I was prepared to get his initial assessment of the damage with a story of how many panels I needed to replace with the thousands of dollars involved. I should add that this was on a Friday afternoon past normal working hours for us mere mortals. I was exceedingly glad to discover that Mark had already bent the door back into shape somehow (my own attempt to bend the door back into shape was reminiscent of the Uncle Rico tupperware sales scene) and only charged his low service charge.
