We chose New Direction, and Dr. Amols back in 2018! I gave birth to our son and daughter (twins!) in January 2020 after only one successful round of IUI. Everyone in and everything about that office is amazing! This clinic is amazing! I read so many great reviews about Dr. Amols that I knew I needed to come here. The doctor I ended up seeing is Dr. Johnson, and he is AMAZING! He made sure I understood all of my options and didn't try to pressure me into choosing any particular option or doing it right away. I appreciated that he assured me that even though I am 35 (which is why I'm starting to worry) I am still very fertile. During the ultrasound, he showed me everything I needed to know and walked me through everything. Last year my wife and I went through three IUI cycles with no success (with a different clinic) so we decided to go the route of IVF. I called to schedule a new patient appointment and they didn't have any availability until September. Which I guess I can understand seeing as how popular they are and I'm not on a strict timeline. They gave me one date in September which I could not make. I asked if the next day is available and I was told that they only book one day at a time! So unless you are completely free and available at all times, I would recommend having other options. Update: I had filled out an online form a few days before calling to schedule and they called back in response to my form 5 days later. I'm just getting home from my egg retrieval for egg freezing and wanted to post a review ASAP while the experience is still fresh in my mind. I spent about 4 months researching potential clinics that offered egg freezing due to fertility issues I discovered I have. As a single 30 year old woman, I didn't want to miss out on my opportunity to have children one day. After talking with around 25 clinics across the US, I decided on New Direction Fertility Centers. I traveled from California, so they were able to get me on their calendar more quickly than people who live locally. They are a very busy clinic but they do a fantastic job and I never had to wait more than 10 minutes later than my appointment time to see the doctor. Dr. Amols and his team are amazing. The entire New Direction team put up with my endless questions and were so patient with me. I appreciated that Dr. Amols was at each of my ultrasounds to make sure I was progressing well and that his goal was to push me to try to get as many eggs as possible so that I would only have to do one round of freezing. Before I left his office this morning after the retrieval, I was told they had retrieved 31 eggs and I could expect a call later in the day to find out how many were mature. A few hours later they called to tell me that of the 31 that were retrieved, 28 were mature. It may have been the hormones, but I almost burst into tears. I was so relieved and happy, the results far exceeded my expectations (most other clinics told me I'd be lucky to get 10 mature eggs). One of the biggest hesitations I had when choosing New Direction was the price. It just seemed too good to be true. Now that I've gone through the process with them, I can say with confidence it's good AND it's true! I'm curious (and a little anxious) to see how my recovery will go since waking up from surgery this morning I was in quite a bit of pain, but I know all the stress and pain are well worth it because I have 28 frozen eggs as an insurance policy if I need them in the future. This fertility office changed my life and was worth the journey. I hope this review can help someone looking to start or continue their fertility journey. Please disregard the negative reviews saying that this office buys their reviews. Dr. Amols lives up to the hype. I was an out of state patient and I originally joined this office as a patient in 2019. I didn't have trouble getting in at the time, although I am sure they have gotten busier as time went on due to Dr. Amols being a great doctor. I decided to go to this clinic because of the glowing reviews and the low upfront prices. I also liked the fact that this was a private practice. I went through 2 IVF retrievals and 2 transfers and my second one worked. There are times you want to give up, because this can be a stressful process, but it is definitely worth trying. You will either get the family you long for, or the closure you need to move on. Dr. Amols is a great communicator with wonderful bedside manner, and thoughtful when he makes your fertility protocol. He also personally does all of your ultrasounds if you are an IVF patient. He always makes you feel welcome, and remembers his patients even though I'm sure he sees a lot of people daily. This clinics lab is also modern and up to date, which is a HUGE factor in developing healthy embryos. The offices are also clean and they offer hot and cold beverages for their patients. They have the Klara system to communicate with staff and they usually answer within a few hours at the most if you are a patient. There are times when they may answer the next day if you write at the end of the day. They are very busy, but very efficient. You also get seen at your appointment time which is unheard of at other offices. Definitely worth the 6 hour drive one way! read more

After 3 miscarriages in 1st trimester ( and told by OBGYN and MFM to just keep trying- without any testing done to actually find the cause), I called to schedule appointment withDr Amols, I knew there will be waiting 2-3 months but I took my chances, filled all the papers they sent me, explained my situation, got scheduled in 3 months and asked to be called earlier if anybody cancel their app. It was all easy, messaging thru Klara system , uploading all the data, asking all questions and getting answers pretty much same day. They called me earlier-and got my appointment moved in only 1 month. Dr Amols was nice, listened my whole story, went through all my papers and explained his thoughts. He offered few options and we made a pretty solid plan to do some missing tests. He told me if I don't want any procedure (IVF-IUI ) to just text them once Im pregnant again, he also gave me few supplements. In about two months I was pregnant again, texted them and they took me in right a way (not like OBGYN who does first Ultrasound after 8w) , they did HCG levels and early ultrasound, added progesterone. I never saw Dr Amols again after that first visit, but I didn't have to, nurses, assistants etc really replied very quickly to every single question/concern I had. Special thank you to Michelle from ultra sound -she made it so easy (I was so anxious ) and would tell me instantly everything she sees, gave me cute pics every time and big hug when I finally "graduated" at 10w. The care I have received at New Direction has been nothing but top-notch. Dr. Amols truly cares about his patients...he remembers their story, he gets to know them, and he wants to provide each and every one of them with the best possible care. This is the climate of the whole place, everyone who works at New Direction puts the patients first. The lab, surgery room, and patient rooms are all in perfect condition with state of the art equipment. They even have little "suites" where you can get ready for procedures (IVF retrieval/transfer). I started treatments with Dr Amols I believe in June 2019. My husband and I have been married for 8 years and we did little treatments here and there in our state with other specialists but were not very serious due to financial reasons, We were tired of the surprise cost and not being told ahead of time how much it'll cost after treatments or being told a guesstimate on how much it'll cost only for it to cost way more then the guesstimate. We thought we would never afford ivf treatments. We prayed we'd find a doctor who is affordable but also who cares about our journey in wanting children. I had a friend who went through ivf and I asked her about it and she referred me to Dr Amols. I convinced my husband about seeing an out of state Dr and deeply felt Dr Amols was our Doctor, it took some convincing & he finally supported the idea. I have been dieing to write this review but had to wait until we announced my (twin) pregnancy to friends and on social media (which is a milestone we crossed today!). I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Amols and his staff at NDFC. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for 5 years. We spent a year with another reproductive endocrinologist in Scottsdale (6 rounds of unsuccessful treatments (before being pushed into a "3 cycle guarantee" IVF program) when we decided that "Scottsdale's best RE" wasn't necessarily the best RE for us. We were then referred to Dr. Amols through a friend who was going through similar struggles. The referring friend described Dr. Amols' mantra as "changing the Phoenix infertility scene" and we were skeptical... Until we met Dr.Amols in person. I have never felt so immediately at ease around a doctor. Dr. A has not only been through fertility struggles himself, but it also an absolute rock star at bedside manner and genuinely listening to patient concerns and getting to the root cause of whatever problem you are having. His staff follows suit. Without getting into the nitty-gritty details of the treatment plan that worked for us, I would like to highlight the fact that without Dr. A, we would have never caught (and corrected!) a pre-cancer in my uterus. Dr. A is NOT all about making money as fast as possible by pushing IVF to solve all problems. He IS all about doing what is best for the patient with the least amount of financial strain. I started my infertility treatment back in 2013 in CA. 2 Years of the medicated cycle with Clomid, Femara ( with the highest dosage), 3 failed IUI's & I gave up. I didn't have the courage to even try IVF. Also, in CA cost of IVF was totally not affordable for us. I gave up in 2016. In 2017, we had to move to Phoenix for work. We found NDFC. I went through their FB and Yelp review and everything looked amazing. It was February. I called for an appointment and my first appointment was in August 2016. My husband and I had our initial consultation with Dr. Amols. He has the ability to make you feel positive more than ever. We had a long conversation and when I left the clinic that day, I felt hopeful again. We decided to go for another IUI and if that doesn't work, we will go for IVF. We started medications immediately. My IUI was scheduled for Sept-Oct cycle. Unfortunately, that didn't work. But this time I did not feel heartbroken and I was prepared for IVF more than ever! We took a break and scheduled our IVF calendar for Feb-Mar 2018. We started our meds and all the tests accordingly. I can feel the difference from other clinics. The patient is strictly monitored. Everything was super planned. I cannot thank enough every single team member of NDFC. They are amazing. Ready to help you anytime. The nurses, the lab people, the reception ladies, all of them! After every visit, Dr. Amols will adjust your medications. Increase/ Decrease the dosages as needed. It was never an ONE SIZE FITS ALL treatment plan with NDFC. I know other ladies from the clinic, from the same cycle as mine. All our meds and dosages and treatment plans were different. That alone makes NDFC different from other clinics. From our retrieval to transfer time went by very fast. Again, everything was like math. Structured. All you need is to follow their instruction, watch your diet, live a healthy lifestyle. 10-days post transfer, I had my 1st beta test. I couldn't believe when I hear my nurse said, Your bloodwork came positive. It felt so surreal. And when I see the tiny human in my 1st scan, I couldn't stop crying. I could NOT believe my very first IVF cycle worked! All credit goes to Dr. Amols and his team. Btw, all other ladies I knew from my same cycle IVF, they are all pregnant. Figure the success rate... :) Now let's talk about the cost: NDFC's IVF cost is way lower than other clinics. IVF itself is an expensive treatment but their pricing is comparatively less than half than other clinics I got quotations from. They will refer you to the specialty pharmacy where you will get the meds in a way reasonable price. When I compared my regular pharmacy quotation and the specialty pharmacy pricing, My regular pharmacy quote was approx. $1100 higher than the specialty one. Plus, they have their own payment plan where you can pay your bills monthly. That was such a relief! Lastly, I would say, If you are planning to go for infertility treatment, they are the best. I can't give enough accolades to New Direction, Dr. Amols, and his staff!! After 2 years of trying to conceive and dealing with other frustrating fertility clinics, my husband and I were referred to New Direction by some of our friends who had successfully gone through IVF with Dr. Amols. At our initial consultation, he made us feel so comfortable, and took the time to explain everything to us and answered all of our questions. The staff is also incredibly friendly, kind, and caring. I completely trusted Dr. Amols and his staff every step of the way; they are not only extremely competent, but have a way of making you feel very comfortable with the whole process. They have a patient communication app called Klara, where you can message them at any time with any questions, and they get right back to you. This helped us feel so at ease. At the end of the process, we ended up with healthy embryos, and are now expecting twins, due in February. Dr. Amols and his staff will always have such a special place in our hearts. I just wish that he could deliver our babies too, because now no other medical office can compare to his (lol)!! As a cherry on top of everything, the IVF process at New Direction is extremely affordable (although we would have paid a million times as much, just to receive the care we did).
