Time for an update since my last review was short, sweet and 7 years ago. We ordered from here last night, something we don't do often because we much enjoy the pizza place closer to our house, but we wanted calzones and we KNOW that NE has good calzones. We know they're more expensive than the other places in town, but when I chose my "make your own calzone deluxe (up to 3 toppings) $15.25" and it came to $27.75 after I selected my 3 toppings, I just about broke my jaw as it hit the floor, FOR REAL? A $10 charge for STEAK? A $3 charge for ONIONS? Listen, I know that Covid has literally ruined the entire world, everywhere is short staffed, every thing has gone up in price, but holy shit, absolutely ridiculous. I removed the steak from my choices, but kept the onions and let me tell you, I got about 4 slivers of onions and I paid for a 5 pound bag of them! Please keep in mind that my 1 star review is for the insane prices they are charging people. The food is usually pretty good, they do have the best meat lovers pizza in town, but, be ready to pay at least $30+ for it. read more

4th time my order was wrong, I called the store and was put on hold and "disconnected" 2x. I'm on the phone for work all day, if you're really disconnecting calls that frequently you need to have your phone line worked on. The picture is how my "buffalo tenders" showed up. These are plain tenders and both cups, the marinara and blue cheese opened in the bag and went over everything making the breading soggy and cold. Update time. I decided a few months back to give New England Pizza another chance, since it had been a few years. They've been my go-to for pizza since. While they are a bit hit or miss, when you do get a good pizza, you get a REALLY good pizza. I do find there to be a lack of consistency regarding toppings, and I always ask them to go light on the sauce since that is not my favorite, but that's just a matter of personal taste. Delivery is always fast and accurate, though I have generally not been impressed with the atmosphere in the dining room the handful of times I've gone inside and waited to pick up my order. Certainly not the best pizza I've had in my life, but I don't have any major complaints and things have definitely improved since a few years ago. read more

Again, my best laid plans for a contactless delivery were foiled by another restaurant. I had high hopes when I read the content on their website. I gave my credit card number over the phone and was instructed to call the restaurant when I arrived. After dutifully waiting 30 minutes as instructed, I arrived in the parking lot, (quite frankly, the parking situation is horrible here), and dialed. The phone message played an inexorably long message that was as unhelpful as it was uninformative. Without doing anything, I was told that I was the first caller in line. Rejoice! Pizza would soon be on its way from the restaurant to my vehicle. I waited... and waited... the message told me that I was the first caller in line, again and again and again... Five... ten... fifteen minutes passed. Finally, I hung up and dialed again. I could see the employee inside the building when they picked up my call... and hung up the phone. Grrrr..... I gave up and entered the building, which was teeming with people waiting for their orders. Just what I wanted to avoid. My calzone was tasty, so that's a plus, but I doubt I shall ever visit here again without being vaccinated against Covid. An odd little note - this was not my first time to NE Pizza! I went here once about 25 years ago, when I first moved to NH from MA and their name was "NE Pizza and Roast Beef." I ordered a "Super Beef with sauce" and was bewildered when the order-taker asked me if wanted lettuce, tomato, pickles, etc... sigh... MA roast beef and NH roast beef are two different things entirely. I never returned to NE Pizza again until this night. Maybe I'll try it again after Covid gets under control. Tonight was my first visit to NEP. Wanted a pizza for dinner, so after calling another pizza restaurant in Rochester and finding out that they are closed on Mondays, I found NEP. I browsed their website online, and saw they had quite a selection of foods. But I just wanted a good ol' classic cheese pizza, so that's what I got. I went with a small, which was $8 and change. Called in my order, very simple and easy. 20 mins later I was picking up my food. Drove home, and dug in. The pizza was delicious! Exactly what I was wanting. A plain cheese pizza is hard to mess up, but many places do. NEP was right on the money! I will return to try more items they offer! read more

My friend and I went inside and ordered what was probably one of the best pizzas I've had in years. I have had New England Pizza a few years back and wasn't impressed. But this time I was more than impressed. The pizza was light and fluffy inside had a nice crispy buttery crust. The sauce was amazing and it was done perfectly. I would highly recommend this pizza. I have been going to NE pizza, Rochester since 2017. I love the pizza but really don't even buy but maybe 2x a year now as they have the rudest employees I have ever seen or dealt with. I figure about every since months I'll try again as turnover rate in high school age kids is high. I always think maybe things will change, Nope! Tried again a couple weeks ago and nothing is different. It's not just the kids either, the adults are just as bad. I am elderly, but not old acting or cranky. In fact I'm very nice, keep my thoughts to myself. If I wanted to be abused I definitely wouldn't pay for it. I used to have it delivered and I tipped very high, yet still the level of rudeness and disrespect in the young people delivering was intolerable, so haven't done that in years. Also they advertise open until 8PM and when I call in an order I keep getting told they are closing at 4:00 PM and can't make an order for pickup at that time. I now go to Clementos, as I just will not pay for meanness! Whatever happened to decent customer service? People will say why didn't you call and complain, I have and I've been told "we don't care, if you don't like it don't come here" So that comment explains the service you'll get. I moved to Rochester NH in 2015 from Ct and they are the closest to the quality restaurants I grew up with. Their pizza, calzones, pasta dishes, salads are all superb and highly recommended. I live in Maine now and don't get to Rochester as much as I'd like, but we were in the area and decided to stop for a late lunch. They never disappoint read more

I always order from here and for the most part am pretty pleased with the food. well tonight I ordered a large chicken salad sub with onions and lettuce. I got a few onions on it and a smidgen of lettuce.also asked for it to be cut in half and it wasnt..i also ordered a large antipasto salad.light creamy house..extra olives extra cucumbers . Didn't get extra of either. the extras cost a $1.00 or more so I expect extra actually got less then what they normally put on it. got no bread with it . it was all and all a very small salad from what i usually get. i also go have a thing of house dressing when i should have got at least another full one cause i had to order it ill try there one more time just to see what i get. i was really dissapointed. i know its hot out but is no excuse for rush putting our orders out and not getting what we paid for. delivery was great.. thanks ethan!!! t read more

Depending on what day you order, food can go either way. Usually its pretty good. Staff isn't usually too friendly and you can tell which ones hate their jobs. Online ordering is easy but the "track your order" feature is a joke. I ordered a sub and waited for the "tracker" to tell me it complete. Drove down to pick it up only to find they hadn't even started it. When I asked why it said the food was finished, the girl up front told me that they have no control over that. Its automated and after a certain time, it says your food is ready whether it is or not. It's there to make the customer "feel good". You also can't use any of their coupons online. Speaking of coupons, you can't use coupons on Cheese pizza's OR any rewards M-W which is really annoying. 3 stars because the food is usually pretty good. I have been coming here for many years. One thing I really like is being able to order online & set a time to pick it up. If you join their rewards program, you will get emails with coupons. Sometimes I get coupons with $2 to $4 off online orders which to me is a huge deal. I LOVE their cold chicken salad. I end up ordering that (with extra) on a bed of lettuce in a tort bowl. I also love their buffalo tender salad in a tort bowl. Their fried mushrooms are good, I usually get those with every order. I have not ordered a pizza from them in years but their calzones are great & huge! This place gets pretty busy, especially on Friday nights. I have been going to NEP for many years now. I had once asked for a steak and cheese sub with Xtra cheese and it came with no cheese. Because I live in Maine they would not deliver another sandwich to me and never apologized but said they will credit me for next time. Next time came and they did not have a credit for me and argued with me that they ever offered me a credit. Okay so things happen and I continue to order there. This past weekend we ordered 3 subs and a pasta dinner. I specifically told them I wanted garlic butter and chicken and garlic bread. Instead they gave it with sauce and 2 pieces of chicken pieces and no garlic bread. Two out of the 3 subs were made wrong as well. I asked them to correct it and have it delivered but yet again they would not. So I drove all the way back. This time the order was correct BUT no apologies at all and they had a really nasty attitude. We do like most of their food but because they couldn't even apologize we will not order there again. read more

The first time we ordered the food here, we did so over the phone. We had just moved to town and hadn't purchased groceries yet. The person who took my order was very friendly and helpful. The calzones were very good and the salad was average. After picking the food up, my husband suggested we try the subs the next day. We ordered on-line and were very pleased with the process and how specific you could be in ordering your condiments, toppings, special requests. You can even check the status of your order. The subs were GREAT! I had a tuna toasted with cheese, extra pickle (they got every specificity correct) and my husband got a turkey sub. The bread was far superior to anything we could get at any sub shop where we used to live in MI and is far better than any chain like Quiznos, Subway, etc... We are regulars here. And first off, I have always had good service. And I love their food on most levels. However, tonight, we were in there and the girl that took our order played on her cell phone while we were deciding what we wanted to order. She put on gloves, handled people's money, and then touched food with the same gloves on. When we got our food, it was over cooked. Very over cooked. This was very surprising to us. I usually get my subs at the Rochester Market Basket. One Sunday night I got there a little too late because they close at 7pm on Sundays. I called New England Pizza and ordered a couple subs for my wife and I. While the subs were a couple dollars more than Market Basket, these subs were better. We really enjoyed them so I didnt mind shelling out a few extra $$. This 5 star review obviously only applies to their subs. Just ordered 2 subs and a Greek salad. We ordered 2 steak and cheese subs, I'd call it a steak fat sub. Half the sub was steak fat and the sub was skimpy with barley any cheese. So this time we didnt get the blue cheese for my buffalo chicken sub and the chicken wings we ordered were hard as a rock and tasted like burnt /old grease. So we called to ask to have it fixed.
