I finally came back after my single experience several years ago, so it's time to update my review. I didn't find anything really awful about my first experience back in 2020, but I had also never felt compelled to come back. I finally attended a bookish bingo event here last night and now I will be adding Clemento's to the usual takeout rotation. The pizza was much better than I remembered it being, and despite the ambiance not being anything to write home about, the staff was friendly and helpful even while they were completely overwhelmed by a large crowd for a private event in addition to their regulars. I will definitely be back again, both for bookish bingo and just to pick up dinner and try more of the menu! read more

Today we were in Rochester New Hampshire for lunch and stopped at CLEMENTO'S PIZZERIA! Right off the bat....highly recommend!! They are located in a shopping center! They have 3 large rooms! First one has a few tables, the bar with about 12 stools and a couple high tops! Second room a few tables and a couple pool tables & 3rd room was full of pool tables! The staff was very friendly! We got a large *extremely large pepperoni pizza and Tonybhad a few PBRs. Noki had a root beer and I had a tea! The baby had a plain hot dog weiner and a little bit of pizza! The food was awesome! Clemento's is a hidden gem. The steak and cheese sub is THE absolute best in town, the sides are great, fries are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside and the onion rings are battered not breaded! Service is slow sometimes, they don't always check their online orders (we waited over an hour for our food just to be told they didn't see our online order), but the food is worth the off days. read more

The food was great. I used to get a pizza at least once a week. About a year ago I stopped in, ordered my pizza and asked that it please not be burned. I don't like eating ashes on a pizza. I paid for it and sat down. A bunch of the cook's friends came in and he was visiting. I saw him pull out a pizza look at it, box it, and put it on the counter by the ovens. We waited 32 minutes in total before he called my name. It was b4 the supper rush. We got the pizza. Went home and discovered that 1/2 the crust was nothing but ashes. For some reason I didn't think I needed to look at it b4 I left. The guy that made it looked somewhat intelligent. I know he knows what ashes are on pizza cuz that's how he cooks them. Very disappointing. Haven't been back yet. Papa Gino's has a great pie and it's NOT greasy like Clemento's. Cartelli's burns their pizzas too. I wonder why? Obviously service stunk. The wife and I ate here the other night. Like others have said, it is a bar with what appears to be a mug club. There are regulars here. That is not a bad thing. The staff were friendly and welcoming even though it was my first time in there. My wife and I each got 12" pizzas and they were very good. Went in for a quick lunch in a busy shopping day. Staff were very nice, friendly and were the high spot of our visit. The ambiance is not good, definitely a takeout vibe and the eat-in felt like if you weren't a regular local then you didn't fit in. I wouldn't go during the evening as it felt as though that feeling would be amplified. The food was typical of a takeout sub and pizza shop, nothing great but ok. The food was fabulous. I got a chicken, broccoli, Alfredo calzone and it was probably the best one I've ever had. The reason I'm giving it 3 stars is only because this place is not the cleanest restaurant. It's run down and sticky...the bathrooms were dirty, the floors were dirty. If I wasn't starving, I would have walked out. I am hoping the next time we go, it's clean and it was just an "off day". Fingers crossed!! UPDATE: Never going back. We do pizza night every Friday and decided to fogo our regular place because we were in the area. After our visit, Clementos will now enter our top rotation for pizza. They hand stretch their dough, toppings are good quality and prices are reasonable. Their onion rings are awesome - everywhere I go, I try the onion rings because I love the batter style from Lenas in Seabrook, and would love to find a place more local. This is the only restaurant I have been able to find them ( besides one in CA), which have the same style. I legit will come here just for the onion rings. I have 5 kids, all with different pizza "preferences." We got the heaven and hell, a cheese, Hawaiian and a custom with black olives, sausage, peppers, and banana peppers. The black olives were really good quality, and they have the best banana peppers in the area. They were great quality ( not old or vinagery tasting) . The toppings and cheese were a good quality, and 2 pieces of pizza filled you up. Everyone loved the dough. I personally would have liked more sauce, though everyone else felt the sauce to pizza ratio was perfect. More importantly, It's also very reasonably priced. Counter help and the cooks were wonderful as well. We will definitely be back. read more

Ordered last night while in town with family. We ordered a large cheese pizza, small pepperoni pizza, small chicken parm calzone, salad, fries, and soda. They forgot to drop the fries, even though I was texted that the order was ready about 15 minutes prior to pickup and the place only had about 6 people there at the time we picked up. They made good on the fries and had us take another bottle of soda for the inconvenience. The fries were decent and we enjoyed them. Now comes the bad. The large pizza and calzone were so burnt on the bottom that they were black. It was pretty inedible. The "garden salad" was shredded iceberg they they use for the sandwiches, that's not a salad to me but the kids did eat it. I would not recommend ordering from them. read more

We decided to order from Clemento's because they were the only place open on Sunday evening. This is probably the worst pizza we have ever had. The calzones we ordered were ok, but the pizza was absolutely terrible. The crust was extremely dry and the pepperoni pizza was ordered was burnt. We also ordered the bbq chicken pizza and it looked like someone just threw dried up old chicken tenders on it. The whole experience was unpleasant. So it's been three years since I wrote my review of Clementos and tonight I stopped in again. I looked at their menu online before I went over and decided I wanted to pick up a calzone. When I got there the staff was friendly and offered me a menu. Same menu as I saw online. Large Buffalo Chicken calzone $19.95. Perfect. I'll have a beer while I wait. The bill comes and my receipt charges me $23.49 for the calzone. The waitress behind the counter tells me there have been some price increases. Ok, there have been price increases everywhere. But none of the menus or signs indicate anything about price increases. If there are menus online and in person that say a price is $19.95, the price should be $19.95 unless the menus inside says differently. Being told it's an out of date menu isn't an acceptable excuse. Guess we'll see what happens if I come back in another three years. read more

We are locals (just a few downs over), and since Clemento's has been under new ownership the past couple of years, it's has become one of our favorite places for dining in and take out (primarily take out because of COVID). My kids LOVE that we can order make-at-home pizzas during COVID - Pizza Friday lives on! :) Though it doesn't turn out nearly as pretty as when they make it, the QUALITY ingredients is evident and is one of the things that sets Clemento's apart. Tonight I took a chance on this place, what a big mistake. We ordered 2 appetizers, a calzone, 2 slices of pizza, salad, and pasta. The calzone came out first followed by the slices. After eating half my calzone and a slice of pizza the appetizers had still not been delivered. The Pasta came out next 15 minutes after the calzone, and the pasta was RAW. We sent the pasta back and I shared the rest of the calzone with my group. After another 15 minutes there was no sign of our appetizers or the other 3 dinners. We decided to leave and just pay for the calzone and slices. This has got to be by far the absolute worst run establishment in all of New Hampshire. If your looking for long waits, mediocre food and zero customer service THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU!!!! As far as me and my family, we will never visit Clemento's again. I can't believe I have never been here! Actually, I can, since I rarely order take-out or pizza. But, with my broken arm and the pandemic in full swing, I am so sick of cooking. I asked a neighbor where he ordered take-out food locally and he recommended Clemento's. I ordered a steak bomb and a chicken tender dinner. Now, this was not all intended for one meal. There's no way I could eat that much. I ate the steak bomb and a few fries for dinner. The sub was delicious. The steak melted in my mouth. The fries were amazing, crispy, and flavorful. Lining the Styrofoam with aluminum foil to prevent soggy fries was a nice touch. The following day, I made some pasta with marinara sauce and melted some cheese over half of the chicken tenders. Like chicken Parmesan, kinda. Again, delicious with a minimum of effort. The remaining chicken tenders and fries are in my freezer, destined for another meal or two. All of this for less than $20! Ok, I really really really wanted to love Clemento's since it's so close to us but we've given them three tries and it's been horrible each time. 1. Takeout- ordered a steak bomb, received a plain cheesesteak. It was good but not what I ordered. 2. Went for a late lunch post football game and the bartender informed us she was solo and things might be a little slow. Understatement of the year. Help showed up to cook and work behind the counter with her but our party of 5 sat for more than 40 minutes before we even had our first bit of food. We ordered 3 personal pizzas(for 3 different people), an order of fries and two steak sandwiches. They proceeded to bring one thing at a time and 10-15 minutes apart. The steak sandwiches came 25 minutes AFTER the pizzas. The entire experience was awful. 3. Ordered takeout. Never showed up. No answer at the restaurant. Finally got a Facebook message from them after I had to use just about every form of communication to get in contact. I'd love to love this place because they genuinely have a good menu and set up, they just need to get their shit together and staff properly. read more
