The company sent the first worker (could not be called a technician) and didnt know what he was the sink was covered and allowed to dry after that it never hardened and never was right. We've used this company before and re-glazed a tub at my sister's house & the results were good. We had them reglaze a tub & tile surround earlier this month & the results were not good! The process itself is awful - the toxic smell from the bathroom was almost intolerable standing outside of my home! The technician barley spoke English, so I felt there was a definite issue with communicating what needed to be done. The company was insistent on getting paid on the spot - which I understand now, because if I had waited to see how awful the tub cured, I would have had a major issue shelling out $700 for a less than acceptable job. They do guarantee their work - and we made an appointment for them to come back... surprise they didn't show up or even see me on the schedule when I called. Some parts look great but not all. I had a technician come back within 5 weeks and he told me not to worry I had a 5-year warranty and theyd come back after the winter. I don't expect to ever hear from Nancy again despite leaving messages and texts asking for the tub to be repaired; I'm at the point I'd rather pay someone else to re-do then wait for them to call me back... Update: I called Superior Bathtub Refinishing and they came out, sanded and refinished the tub--it dried right away and looks fantastic! I highly recommend Superior (steer clear of NE Reglaze! New England Reglaze came to our condo to refinish the bathtub last week. Everything was good when I called them to book the appointment. They were able to accommodate us quickly. I told them I had a fiberglass tub and got a quote of $299. The quote was a little bit unbelievable as other places were all charging higher. But I inquired about the $299 several times and was assured that they are running a special so the price is correct. On the day of the appointment, they (he) was late by half an hour because he got lost, which is understandable. However, this is mostly because they wouldn't take directions from me when I booked the appointment. The guy on the phone insisted that his GPS would find the way even though I told him most GPS-es get our place wrong. Oh well, half hour is not much. Once the guy got to our condo, he actually made my husband carry equipment for him. I think this is pretty unprofessional. Then he informs us that the price quoted was incorrect and it's actually $450. That's a huge different from the quoted price of $299. We went along with this grudingly since it's really too much of a hassle to call someone else at this point, considering that we already took a day off work. After 10 minutes of working, the guy says he needs to go to home depot to get a new mask. Um, shouldn't he have taken care of this ahead of time? On top of that, he wanted my husband to do with him (my husband was supposed to be working from home) and he watned my husband to drive his van. Very shady! My husband went with him to home depot but declined to drive his van. All that didn't bother me as much as the fact that he plugged some appliance into our socket and fried our fusebox. While using some sort of air compressor machine, he plugged into our outlet which in turn KILLED the circuits to the guest bedroom and the bathroom. I suspect he probably did something to his machine and it some how overloaded our circuits. He was eventually able to finish the job by using another outlet. But now we need to call an electrician to come fix it. The electrician says it would cost us $400 to fix. While the finished product does look good, I am very disappointed with this company. I would definitely NOT recommend using this. As a matter of fact, for our master bath remodel, I will definitely be calling someone else. read more

I hired this company to reglaze my tub. We live near Worcester, and they were coming out from Somerville. They were supposed to arrive at 9 am and my husband took off from work. I forgot to leave him the name/phone number of the company, so when I got out of a meeting at 11 and called home, I found out they never showed. I called the company and was told that we were not home. My husband had seen a group of men go to my neighbor's house in an unmarked car (not unusual as they often have people working on their house). When I called the office, I was told that they went to #39 (I'm #37, yup, they went to the neighbors). I asked what phone number they had for us, and it was my correct phone number. So these men drove all the way from Somerville to Worcester and back, without ever thinking to make a phone call?? That completely blew my mind, and the owner couldn't answer why he didn't call either. "Oh, we'll come back tomorrow." So my husband can take a second day off that he doesn't get paid for? We decided to have our bathtub reglazed and went with this company. On the day of the job, a man arrived at my door which I figured was an employee since the appointment was scheduled at that time. He barely spoke English (other than hello and could confirm he was there for my bathtub when I asked) and couldn't answer simple questions I had for him regarding the chemical usage, ventilation etc. I ended up leaving the house with him alone in it because I have a young baby who I did not want to risk exposure to the chemicals even though there was a beat up ventilation system he had to use (thru window). A few hours later, the job was complete and it looked pretty good. The next two days, I noticed the caulking was so gummy and wet looking ) and the base of the tub connected to our very old floor tile. I then noticed a bunch of our tiles had come loose and that they were jammed back into their spots. There was a spot in our tub that it looked like the glaze somehow didn't cover-very minor, but we paid 300.00 for a very tiny (showering only) tub and it should be perfect. I called the company and spoke with Nancy who I had been dealing with for the months prior to setting up. This after I left a message saying I had some issues and would like a call back. She confirms she got my message and passed on to the owner who was " in the field" and would get back to me. Never heard back. Emailed and called again. Nothing. Nada. No Bueno. Also-despite the ventilation-the house smelled like fumes for another day. No receipt given, no post care instructions. Great disappointment. When I made the appointment I told Nancy that the tub was re-glazed over twenty years ago. She informed me that it was no problem. It was $100 to have the old glaze removed and $299 to have the new white glaze applied. No problem. I had the check ready. It was a rainy day when Victor, the technician, came to my home. I asked him to please wipe his feet. When he looked at the tub he shook his head and said "very bad". I said that is why I was having the work done. He said it wouldn't last two years. He said "not me, get someone else". He turned and walked out. I stood there trying to figure out what had just happened. I called and spoke to Nancy. New England Reglaze resurfaced our tub 2 years ago, working through our general contractor. The edges of the tub finish along the caulking are now cracking. Both my contractor and I have called New England numerous times and have been given every excuse under the sun to avoid coming back out to repair. Very Professional, informative and flexible. We booked an appointment while we were on the phone for the following week. Everything was done correctly and professionally. Scheduling was easy and they showed up as scheduled, but I was told they take credit card or check when I booked the appointment. When they completed the job they changed their story and said only cash or check. I called the office and was told that their owner was warming up to the idea of accepting credit cards, but is not set up to do so currently. He had his Salvadorean music going in the bathroom as he worked, asked me if how I was doing with the smell of the reglazing paint, and told me about his background, his move from his home country, and being a pastor. These guys are awful!!! Don't give them a dime! Today was my third attempt at having them come out to touch up some flaws in the work (WHICH THEY SAY THEY GUARANTEE FOR FIVE YEARS) and they blew us off again!!! Each time I called Nancy, she gave a different excuse as to why they never show up! She had the nerve to tell me someone else took the message and she was away on vacation when I know for a fact she is the only person I have EVER dealt with on the phone. Our tub looked great initially, it was brown and they painted it white. But after one week, even dropping a bar of soap left a scrape. You can't tell me that this is quality paint if it can't hold up to a bar of soap. Who doesn't drop soap???? THEY SUCK! I am calling this one a loss and fixing it myself. read more

This company was easy to book with and communicate with.... initially. They arrived as scheduled but were sloppy with ventilation to the point that our whole house smelled for about a week and the shower itself continued to smell for months! When the technician finished there were very noticeable drips in the glaze and he was going to leave it like that. We had to ask him to fix it; which he did. After a week we noticed a small chip in the glaze as well and when we contacted the company repeatedly over 6 weeks time, we were told the SAME thing. That the manager wasn't available but he would call us back, or that he only does call backs on Fridays. Needless to say, we will NEVER heard back and will NEVER use that company again. I made an appointment for New England Reglaze to refinish my bathtub. On the day of the appointment, the person coming to do the work was supposed to be at my place by 9am but still was not at my place by 9:30a.m. After speaking with the person who handles the phone calls, I was told the driver couldn't find my place because his GPS had taken him to a field. I live on a main road and explained to the receptionist that I would be glad to speak to the driver directly, as I knew every road in my town and could get him from wherever he was lost. More than an hour passed by and I did not hear from them. I called them to find out what happened and I was told that the driver had now been circling my area for over two hours and it was too late to do the reglazing unless I wanted to possibly reschedule for 2 or a different day. I couldn't understand why the driver wouldn't stop at a business for directions. I asked why I couldn't speak to the driver directly, and the receptionist became very annoyed and said she was the person taking the calls and I could only speak to her. I found their level of inflexibility to be incredible, and I ended up hiring a different company. read more

I enjoyed the professionalism of this company. The workers came on time. They called me when they arrived and were very kind. We spoke lots of spanish together and were forgiving with my bad grammar and poor accent. They explained the painting process to me on my top floor condo bath tub. They did three base costs and three top coats using miracle method or some type of glass like epoxy. The cost was $299, no extra fees or hidden charges. They offered to do a sand bottom to prevent any sliding. I declined because I didn't want bumps or a potential yellowing over time. I stuck with a plain white finish. They did it in three hours and it was ready for use 24 hours later! So quick and easy. I live in a top floor condo and don't want to deal with wall shifting and carrying over flights of stairs. Easiest, best choice for me. I actually called the workers back and told them there was a small lint that got into the paint. They scraped it off with a razor and refilled be paint with more of that top coat using a small brush. The small dent from using their razor bugged me a little because I'm OCD perfectionist, so this gets fours stars (really they should've sanded and spray painted again). At the same time, the two men were phenomenal, smart, caring, took their time, and were very informative throughout the process. It helps that I could understand and speak Spanish :) overall, great service and quality. You can't see any imperfection unless you feel with your hands and get down low to look closely where the lint was. I would use them again for my bathroom walls. read more

I called them back at 3;30 asking where they were and the office knew nothing. They said they would find out and call me back. They didn't, I had to call them again. They told me the tech couldn't find the building and went home. No call, nothing. I told them they needed to get back there and complete the job or schedule for the next day because I had rescheduled the shower door installation to accommodate them. They said they couldn't. Do NOT use this company ever! If I had the choice I'd give them no stars at all. When I called to make the appointment they were very nice and had dates open for the week I asked them to come and the following week. They ended up showing up early which is fine but I then had to leave work earlier than I put in for. The guy who did the tub spoke very little English and his name was Angel. He was here for about 2 1/2 hours total and spent most of his time talking on his Bluetooth to someone. All he put down to protect our new tile was some brown paper over it. When he was done our contractor had to tell him to remove the paint that got onto our new tile and pointed out some drips. Angel scraped the tile with a razor to get it off then just wiped the drip with his finger. He packed up his Honda and left didn't even have me sign the paperwork or anything. After about a 1/2 hour we checked the tub and there was a nice 5-6 inch run/glop of paint right in the corner of the tub and some smudges. I called the company and it went right to Angels voicemail once I made the number come up as private a woman named Nancy answered. I told her what happened she said she would call the technician and call me back which she didn't I had to call her back. She said give it a day and when it dried it will flatten out. Well it didn't! I called them on Friday and spoke with Nancy again and she said no one can come out until about 2 weeks later!! Yet when I called the original time to book the appointment there was all these openings. I also emailed the company on Friday with the photos and no one called or emailed me back. The next day I called the company again and had to block my number so they would pick up. I spoke with Nancy again and asked her if she got my email and she said yes. I told her someone needs to come fix the problem there is paint on my brand new tile floor, brand new toilet, brand new heat register, new fresh painted walls and runs, smudges, and drips all in the tub! She told me "sometimes after they are done if there is ventilation the after spray settles and lands on things it's normal" well wouldn't you think if that's "normal" you would tell people and set an appointment up for them to come clean up their mess!! Maybe Angel should have put up more plastic and got off his phone and paid attention! I told them the check was not to be cashed until they come finish the job she told me she would call her manager and call me back to have someone come sooner that was 5 hours ago and still no call back. Do not use this company they take your money and run and half ass the job. They don't want our contractor to fix or clean any of the mess because they say they can clean it up but no one ever calls you back so I'm not sure when they will really do that and we would like our bathroom finished.
