Went to New England Surgical last week. Melinda, who has worked there for over 15 years was terrific. She was very knowledgeable about bathroom supplies/equipment for the elderly. Wish I had read the reviews before selecting this company for my rental. If you are buying or renting medical supplies it likely means you are having a new medical condition, sometimes life altering. NE Surgical does not care! No service, no accommodations. They answer their phone but only to tell you they cant put an ounce of humanity into your need. Dont expect anything from them. read more

Homegirl has been m.i.a. recently. She spent weeks trying to work off winters weight. With spring approaching the extra jiggle, Homegirl was trying to wiggle. She ate her broccoli and did her P90x and was not able to budge the pudge. Then she realized the truth...it was not homefries filling her muffin top, but a homebaby! That's right papa don't preach and I'm keeping my baby. Now that Homegirl has brought some positivity to the set, she's ready to spill all the tea brewin' in her pot. Homegirl was in need of some medical equipment (okay, a breast pump)for her soon to be homebaby, and her in$urance was supplying the paper. Homegirl gotta get every last freebies with a kangaroo in the pouch. Unfortunately, this (un)establishment was the nearest in location to homegirl. She got her doctors note and all her info ready to cop some coin. Homegirl is tired just writing this review. She could go ahead and paint a picture like DaVinci for you but she is worn down like the bottoms of a pair of tube socks just thinking of the run around she was given. Just know this. Homegirl had to drag her 'with child' behind to this location 4 times....and multiple phone calls too. Let her break things down for you just to stir the pot so the rice dot stick. They refused homegirls request for this piece of equipment twice and didn't have it in stock once. Every time she spoke to a different associate, she was given a different answer. Homegirl was told several times she had to wait 2 weeks before her baby was born to get the pump. Homegirl was also told that she could come down at anytime and pick it up! Which one is it people? Make yo girl drive down and then another employee rudely tells her no? Homegirl literally had enough. She was growing ill of talking to the most incompetent employees the good Lord ever breathed breath into. She then made a call to her insurance and my Homegirl on the other end, Lateesha, was the force yo girl needed. I told Lateesha that this place had been running Homegirl like a hamster, and reverberated the conversations. Let me tell you, Lateesha put me on a brief hold, called this medical supply center, and within 2 minutes, Lateesha informed them that they had messed up and I would have no further issues getting my device. Lateesha is a Queen. My insurances' policy was 2 months prior from due date and NOT 2 weeks like some had told her. You're girl felt empowered once again. She knew she had been wronged, and with her last voyage to Fall River she finally got the five finger discount her insurance had promised. Everyone needs an insurance angel like Lateesha. Homegirl suggests you call you're insurance company and confirm every detail before even entering this establishment. They were uncoordinated and uneducated, yet very insistent and even rude over the phone. If all else fails, get your insurance to call this place like Homegirl did and that should set 'em straight. Better yet, try a different medical supply center. They charge $25 for those rubber bottom socks you get for free at the Hospital. Picking the pockets of the elderly if you ask Homegirl. She's done . She's gotta get a Swedish massage now . These toxins clogging up homegirls pores. read more

Please do yourself a favor and do not use their services especially for rentals. They charged my credit card three times for one rental. I was able to get one charge reversed but one remained. When I received the rental I took pictures of the damage at the moment I put it in my car. I couldn't go back in the store to show them because my father was sick in the car. I sent them the pictures but they said I must have destroyed the part when I put it in the car. They told me I should have been thankful I wasn't charged 10 times the amount they charged me ($137). Wow. These people should not be servicing our most vulnerable population. read more

My 91-year-old mother recently purchased a lift and reclining chair for my 93-year-old dying father from this business. On the day that the chair was delivered the rescue wagon was literally on its way to take my dying father to the hospital while the delivery man from this business was bringing the chair in the house. The delivery man was super nice but knew absolutely nothing about how to install or operate the chair - and was sent alone for the delivery of this large item. My father never saw the chair. he never sat in it. He died before he got the chance. My mother contacted this business after the funeral to return the chair and was told that she cannot.it's not their policy. My 91-year-old mother will undoubtedly need medical equipment and supplies in the future. I can guarantee with absolute certainty that we will never never never do business with this company again. read more

They charged my husbands insurance over $450 for a wrist brace. Number 1 it was the wrong brace for the prescription and #2 when his doctor saw that it was the wrong brace, he gave him a new correct brace. The cost of that brace is $60!!! New England Surgical Inc refused to take the wrong one back and reimburse Medicare the outrageous amount of $$$ they had already been paid. We are persuing this by notifying Medicare of this fraud. read more

Worst company tactics ever! We got a wheelchair for my mother from New England Surgical. Medicaid paid for the monthly rental on it and we paid the 10% co-pay on it. After 12 months of renting it, we were to own it out right. Unfortunately, my mother passed away just 3 months shy of the 12 month mark. The morning after my mother passed, my Dad got a call from New England Surgical harrassing him about pickig up the wheelchair. My Dad was in no condition to deal with this and did not even know what they were talking about. He handed the phone to me and I told them that my mother had justed died and we were on our way to the funeral home. I told them that after the services, I would call them back to settle this issue but was not going to deal with it now. They apologized. Then called my Dad the next day to inquire again. He gave them my cell phone number. They then called me as I was driving to the services and I told them again that I would call them about this issue after the services. They then called my Dad's house and again asked about picking up the wheelchair. My sister told them that they were on the way to the wake and would deal with after the services. Then the morning after the funeral, a delivery man arrived at my Dad's door from New England Surgical demanding that we hand over the wheelchair. Do not rent from this company! read more

My daughter was prescribed a cpm machine after knee surgery. She lives in Boston and does not drive but is recuperating at our home in Centerville, MA. She asked to have the machine delivered to our home but was told no. When she told the person on the phone she had to take public transportation with the very heavy machine she was told that "she sounded young and could handle it". Needless to say she had to take a cab to the hospital with the CPM and we would never do business with this company again!! read more
