I contacted Freedom Lifts regarding a Stairlift for my Mom who was coming from rehab after a fall…read morein her home to stay with me. There were so many things to do and I didn't know anything about stairlifts. Freedom Lifts put me at ease immediately. From the first phone call with Jen to the free in home evaluation and installation, with Sean ,everyone at Freedom Lifts was kind and professional. The stairlift has made such a difference for my mom. She can enjoy our entire home because of the stairlift and is not confined to one area. I would highly recommend Freedom Lifts to anyone who is in need of a Stairlift. Great service and helpful knowledgeable people!

I have to say this company is absolutely a nightmare. Each salesperson and technician I talked to…read morehad NO knowledge about their products, and I honestly think I know more from my brief online research than any information they attempted to convey to me. Normally I don't get too upset about how salespeople interact, but everyone I dealt with was rude and acted like they were doing me a favor even acknowledging my presence. Obviously when you are buying a stairlift, you are seeking assistance, and as someone who had never bought one before, I just wanted to flesh out all my needs and questions with a knowledgable salesperson. Having dealt with this "company" (more like a frat house in there), I can honestly say I will never deal with them again, and you would be better suited building a stairlift yourself! After shopping around at 2 other places after Freedom Lifts, I found exactly what I was looking for, at prices that were SIGNIFICANTLY CHEAPER for the SAME product. STAY AWAY!!!!

In 2021 a Vertical Platform Lift was installed in garage by Oakley for our handicapped daughter in…read morewheelchair. Oakley did a great job with insurances, physician referrals, measuring, installation, etc. But, right from the beginning, we had problems with our lift and the batteries to run the lift. It was only a few weeks later when we called Oakley since the lift stopped working. They came back and replaced the batteries since they were drained. One of the techs mentioned something about the batteries they have been installing have been doing this a lot which made me think, "then why are you installing them in a brand new lift?" Well the batttery issue has happened several more times. Each time it costs $175 for a service call. Twice we opted for the $450 annual maintenance fee. In 2023 p, the way the office rep explained the fees, we figured it was worth the $450 to have the 2 new batteries installed and the lift checked out rather than $175 just for the service call and the added charge of two new batteries. This March Oakley was called since the lift again was acting strangely and making weird noises and stopping midway and moving slowly, etc. On March 3, 2025, two technicians arrived and spent a total of 20-25 minutes performing maintenance and said they installed two new batteries. Yesterday, April 3, 2025 the lift was again misbehaving as it did one month ago. I spoke to the technician who said it sounded like the battery was low (already???) Today they called and told me the service charge was $175 to come out to the house! Seriously! One month later the new batteries are dead! I made my feelings known that this was unacceptable, and yes, I wanted them to check with the manager. They left a voicemail for me. It will cost $175 for the service call-since that is their policy. Besides being bad customer relations, it is down-right wrong since the problem we paid $450 to fix one month ago is happening again! I guess they do not care about helping paid customers who have handicapped mobility issues. The maintenance fee is totally not worth it since it isn't an annual maintenance agreement. It is only a checkup, like when you take your car for an oil change and they do the FREE 10 point inspection. Only this was $450! Now they want another $175 one month later come to the house (which is 5 miles away) to possibly replace the batteries! And I have a feeling the batteries are recharged batteries and not new ones. Otherwise, they are defective batteries and the customer shouldn't have to pay for this. I lost trust in Oakley. It is very disappointing for a local company to treat people in the community this way...and they do not realize that "word of mouth" means a lot in the south county community.

(Warwick RI) First time I've had to use my 6 month old Generac generator the LP hose popped off after a couple hours. Really a small problem Generac website referred me to their local sales and service representative. Imagine my surprise when I finally found the business (no sign or # on the outside of the business even the UPS folks had never heard of the business). They were closed because they didn't have power. (Sound like a Monty Python skit, the generator company closed because of a power failure.) I called the manufacturer and yes I was outside their reps shop and they were closed because of the power failure. They laughed in disbelief put me on hold and called the shop . They came back on the line embarrassed and agreed to overnight the warrantied part. (Shout out to the folks in corporate customer service nice job) back to the local representative this morning to find the building open and lines of generators on the sales floor. (By the way you couldn't buy a generator in the city yesterday. Sold out all over town and this fellow closed his shop. Nuts right?) so I asked about purchasing other service part and was told the guy who does that wouldn't be in until 3 (the posted time for closing) because he didn't have power at home. Bad skit right. No one else working could or would help me. Generac is a good company with a fine line of generators but they need to loose this operation.
