Buyer beware! They are very nice/helpful when they are about to sell you something but if there is a problem, they turn nasty. Don't expect any support or service once you have paid for the equipment. What you will hear is "it will cost you a $200 a service call" even if the equipment was just delivered within days and there is a problem using it! No compassion and they are dealing with vulnerable customers. We were even told that they need to make a profit so don't expect any help without paying $200! High pressure sales but once you pay, forget about getting any support. There are comparable products (new!) on Amazon that are price competitive and Amazon accepts returns. Try eBay if you are looking for a used piece of equipment. Better prices and delivery can be arranged. read more

Regarding the below response from John, the re-stocking fee was not verbally communicated to us prior or during the sale. It was only mentioned verbally over the phone later on when I indicated I wanted to return it. My wife and daughter can attest to this. Also, a 25% charge to re-stock a scooter ???? You also try and justify your difference in price by saying you provide additional value. The local support, personalized service, and the ability to try products before purchase you mention don't, in my opinion, justify a roughly 400-dollar increased difference in price. I believe you also derive income from renting and fixing mobility scooters. I don't think Amazon Prime does. I'm pretty sure If a person brings a mobility scooter they bought online to your store to get fixed, I'm pretty sure you won't fix it for free. Does Medicaid or Medicare have anything to do with your pricing? I purchased mine for my wife without government help. As far as the house image goes, your manager (Andrew) never mentioned anything about terrain suitability while he was showing us our house on his monitor or at any other time. How would a screen shot of just my house and driveway determine terrain suitability? My wife goes all over our neighborhood not to mention Stop and Shop, the library, etc. read more

Everything started off on a good note! We were happy that we were able to get an electric wheelchair for my Dad. We received it but it was never quite right. Within 10 days my Dad passed away. We sent the chair back hoping that Andrew could resell it, after all the company name includes the word "Recycle". We asked for a portion of the money back, unfortunately, Andrew said no. John and Andrew were great and easy to work with. From my initial phone call, they were very knowledgeable and took the time to listen to my concerns and needs. They set up an appointment time that was convenient for us (and were able to accommodate us even though we were 1/2 hour late.) When we walked in, both employees were wearing their masks so I felt very comfortable being in there. The took all of the information in and helped us make the best decision for our needs. Just had them instal a stair lift. They were very easy to work with and very kind. They answered all my questions and showed up when they said. Their price was very fair and they were able to put the lift in two days after my initial call. I explained it was urgent and they did everything in their power to make it happen. The technician who did the installation was very polite and patient. I had contacted a big company but wanted to go with a local business and I'm glad I did! Our mother needed a lot of medical equipment (ramps, wheelchair, hospital bed, grab bars, lift up recliner, etc) and the nursing facility gave us very little notice she was being discharged. Needless to say we were left scrambling. I was referred to Mobility Equipment Recyclers by a friend and I'm still in awe of how much equipment they were able to get us in such a short period of time. I added up all the totals and they literally saved our family thousands of dollars (and hours of headaches) on the equipment.
