I have learned it is best to get Victor's advice and then go with whatever he recommends whenever he can get to it. He can spot dead/leaning/risky/rotten trees quickly. He has the equipment necessary.... he doesn't need to rent it to get the job done. He also has the skill to really drop a tree on target! I really do hate having trees removed, actually, and not just because of the cost.... but Victor does try to put a positive spin on it.

We could have called a lumber company IF we had 20+ trees we could identify for removal; the cost in that case is zero, but they only take the large trunk pieces and leave a tremendous mess (branches, twigs, leaves and stumps) for homeowners to clean up. Happy Trees not only cut trees down, but they also clean up everything! Stump grinding is optional (which we had done). One of Victor's two crews (four experienced men per crew) were able to start the job the afternoon before the promised start date, which was fine with us! They quickly, efficiently and safely took down the trees, five of which where near the house and one near power lines. After each tree was down, they cut up the branches and trunk and ran everything through a chipper, with the chips going into a large panel truck; some of the better tree trunks were set aside for pickup later. Having the six trees cut, removed and the area cleaned of branches/twigs and raked took less than a day (actually, two half-days); the stump grinding happened a few days later. Happy Trees has expertise and the right equipment to get the job done safely. And the cost was quite fair and reasonable compared to what I have paid in the past. I highly recommend Happy Trees.
