Worst pedicure I've ever had I was in and out in under 30 min. The place is dirty, fly paper hanging all over. Did not have clean tools or tools coming out of the sanitized bags that all the other places use. Owner was complaining about rent and taxes the entire time. The employee was very sweet and nice. Within 10 minutes she had buffed out my prior gel polish , trimmed my cuticles, quickly filed nails down and sent me on my way. I did not want polish. I was shocked when she charged me $22.60. I was there for not more than 10 minutes, no polish & The filing was so bad that when I got to the car I had to grab out my own nail file (to fix the sharp edges). I wanted to like the place so much because she was so sweet and it appeared clean. But $22 to buff my nailpolish off, trim the cuticles and shove me off? Literally stumbled upon this Nail Salon while shopping at a store next door for the first time. My mom and I usually go for our nails together and had been searching for a new nail place. We have been to several in recent months and no one was getting the job done for us. I noticed in the window that they offered permanent french with pink and white acrylic so we decided to see if they could fit us in. They took us no problem, my mother first and I waitied a few minutes. We were both extremely satisfied with staff, service and attention to detail. The place is very clean and tools are sanitzed. You can also buy a personal box for $5 which contains your basic manicure tools for your use only. We both got one and we will be back. I had my first mani/pedi today in 7 months. I called and was told to come in, no need for an appointment. One of the gentlemen took me right away and did my manicure. He was very nice and thorough and we talked about the upcoming school year. When it was time for a pedicure, Tammy grabbed my polish and said "come". She never said another word, not even how are you. She didn't talk to me because she spent my entire pedicure on her phone having a full conversation with someone else. I've been coming here for as long as I can remember. I love this place. I am very particular with my nails but they always do an amazing job, particularly Michael & Maria. Maria is excellent at doing designs. I can show her any picture and she does exactly that. I recently took off my tips to let my nails grow so I've been going for a regular gel manicure and Maria is the one to go to for that. She takes her time and she actually cares and talks with you. I hate going to a nail salon when you have to watch their every move so they don't rush through. But when maria does my nails I can truly say i relax and enjoy it. My regular salon burned down in like 2009 so I went back to Michael. He is fast, knows how to file & paint but can't do designs unless they are airbrush. You don't get any special massage while your nails are drying & kinda feel rushed especially if you're only 2 mins late for appt. Salon is clean but being that Michael knows me since like 1997 I would think they would be more polite. Prices not bad, $20 for an acrylic fill. I have been going to Fancy Nails for years now and I go to Tammy. She is an amazing nail stylist and never lets me leave the salon unhappy! I love the work she does on my nails and every time I try a new nail place I always end up going back to Tammy. Shes very sweet and kind too. I tried this place because it's $8 cheaper than my regular nail salon. My mom has been going here for years and told me to try it. Well, I got what I paid for. They over filed, my hands are dry, and the top coat is all thick, clumpy, and uneven. You can see the markings from where my nail was filed through the color. Some people rave about this place and I don't understand how. First off, it STINKS of chemicals as soon as you walk in. How that's not a health violation is beyond me. The SNS manicure was not done properly. They don't cream your hands or anything or give massages. I decided I needed a new nail salon closer to where I live. My mom has been going here for a while and Michael does her nails. My mom tried getting me to go back to the salon but at the time I was going to a girl in sound beach. Then I decided going to sound beach was a bit of a hassle (at one time, my husband and I did live out east and sound beach wasn't a problem). So I called the salon to see what their prices were for permanent French set & fill-ins. It was less expensive than what I was paying when I was going out east. Plus, I have been to fancy nails before and Michael does a great job. I was very pleased with the result. Michael remembers me from years ago. My mom is happy with him. And I was happy with the end result. My appointment was at 11am & I waited about 5-10 minutes before Michael finished with the previous customer. Although they didn't offer it to me or say anything, it seems they may do a free airbrush with each service (it says that right on the business card). I noticed there are a few "free" airbrush designs that you can choose from plus there are other designs that range in different prices. They also seem to have a wide variety of gel colors to choose from if you are getting a gel manicure. Overall, I am very pleased with the way my nails came out and will be going back! read more

Worst nail salon! This place is awful. The salon is dirty. Nothing is sanitized and the employees eat at their nail stations. Tammy, the owner, insists on helping when she can, but she knows NOTHING about nails or waxing. She waxed my sister's eyebrows wrong and then claimed she "doesn't do eyebrow." When getting a permanent french fill-in, Michael who has been doing my nails and my sister and mother's nails for over ten years, got annoyed that I wanted my nails less wide as I do not like the "duck feet" look and did not understand where I wanted the white part to start and told me that, after bringing my family there for over ten years, that "no one likes doing [our] nails." I was going to fancy nails every 2 wis for several months getting special manicures; pedicures; eyelash extensions and waxing. Each visit would cost me up to $100. Although the prices for each service is reasonable I will NEVER go back after today's visit. After getting a gel manicure from Tammy I left and looked at my nails in the car. They looked terrible...bumpy..peeling...very odd shape.. I went back in n told her n she immediately blamed me. She insisted that I didn't put my hands in the dryer straight n that she saw me turn my hands. Of course I insisted that I didno such thing but she went on and on about how it was my fault which it wasn't. She then fixed them but with an attitude as she made several more comments. Somehow she chose to use a different polish but claimed it was beck she didn't trust me to dry properly. Never did she apologize for the inconvenience of ruining my day and turning a 1 hr visit into a 2 and a half hour session in which she made mevery upset.
