I prefer what they call a "knife and fork job" where the sandwich, the meat the bread is all dunked and comes out in a river of au jus. They make amazing sides, I typically go for the onion rings and corn fritters which are tasty, fried nugget of sweet corn and they are delicious. I never tasted that ramekin. You might think the hot sauce is go to, but check out that chili oil sauce with its mix of heat and sweet. That's your go to sauce for this crispy chicken. The chicken may not be as seasoned as one would find with soul food or southern kitchens, but it more than makes up for it with that audible crispiness. The three chicken thighs are huge and quite satisfying. It was all so good that I ordered a chicken plate to go! I can well understand why my friend gives The Commodore a high rec and so do I. I should be here on the regular and that salad and chicken plate, with a few frozen spicy margs or whatever is your pleasure, will be in repeat.
