    Egg sandwich with sausage
    Mark S.

This is a very solid breakfast spot in New York. We got three items: - The praline pancake - The sausage breakfast sandwich - The biscuits and gravy Out of those three, the biscuits and gravy really stood out. I loved the hot sauce on top! It really elevated the flavor. The biscuits were light and flaky, and the gravy complemented them perfectly and was quite flavorful on its own. The praline pancake was also quite good. I did like their take on a traditional pancake. The breakfast sandwich was good, but it didn't blow me away considering the price And the high bar for breakfast sandwiches in the city. Overall, this is a very solid breakfast spot. I think there are better options, but it's worth trying. The atmosphere inside is comfortable, and the service is friendly and efficient, so I can't complain.

Came here on a sunday around 1:15 PM, and there was an estimated wait of 45 minutes for a table of two. However, we opted to sit at the bar, and were able to get a seat without waiting. The interior is a bit on the darker side, but the outdoor seating looked like it would be a great ambiance. I ordered a grain bowl with grilled chicken. I loved the sauce, which had a hint of chili and tomato. The chicken was super thick, juicy, and tender, and the rice pilaf was the perfect texture too. It felt like a very simple and healthy, yet delicious meal. We considered getting one of their signature pancakes to share, but were unfortunately too full. We will definitely be back to try it in the future!

Egg & Cheese Sandwich + fries ; hash browns and Sunday Pancake - Single

Came here for the pancakes so mission complete! LOVE that they offer 3 sizes - single, double, triple so you can gauge based on your hunger level. I usually get savory then have pancakes so a single is perfect for me! The hazelnut syrup is amazing and the texture of the pancake is perfect. No notes! Have never tried any that have a similar taste palette. The closest I would compare to would be Golden Diner but they're still oh so different. I got hash browns as well..crisped up rectangular hash brown made from frozen. So disappointing..I was hoping for real freshly made ones. They tasted like the oil they were cooked in so I had to doze with them with sauces. Their ice tea is on point! Fragrant earl grey.. so good. And overall I appreciate the range of n/a drinks. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and the service is great. A little slow but they still take care of you with a smile and I appreciate that!

Stopped in for breakfast with my sister for the 1st time recently on a slow weekday. Ordered: * Cheddar Scramble (Scrambled Eggs, Long Island Home Fries, Multigrain Toast) w/ chicken sausage *Egg&Cheese Sandwich (Gochujang Aioli, Hash Brown, Cheddar, Sesame Potato Bun) *Patty Berg juice (grapefruit and hibiscus) Everything really good, especially the potatoes, but nothing stood out. I was a little disappointed that I tasted no gochujang in the aioli since that was the unique aspect of it. Each ingredient was perfectly crafted and assembled, though. Didn't expect my sandwich to be so large so I only finished half -- huge portion! I'll be back again for dinner because that's where they really shine

Great place for breakfast or brunch even though it is a bit pricey. This is a spacious restaurant with two levels, there's a decent amount of space between tables that you don't have to worry about brushing up against a stranger. The decor gives off a homely, comforting vibe. Service wasn't anything special. Waitress was attentive and left a water pitcher on our table so she didn't have to worry about topping off our water glasses. Speaking of water glasses, those glasses were tiny. They seemed more like shot glasses if anything. Food was great; you definitely won't leave here hungry. I came with a friend and he ordered the biscuit and gravy, while I ordered the Shakshuka. We shared a single Sunday Pancake (I recommend you do the same as they're huge). The Shakshuka was very feeling to say the least. It's a very savory dish with a lot of umami flavor from the tomatoes and cheeses (Feta and Focaccia) used. The pancake was great though taste wise it tasted more like a muffin? Even my friend made the same comment. Not a bad thing of course, but it's certainly unique. Did like that it was not overly sweet with the syrup that was already poured on. Pricey breakfast and lunch, but at least you'll leave satisfied.

Amazing first experience at this spot in BK. Went for brunch which is what it seems like they are known for. Bunch of good options! The vibe is chill and welcoming. Ordered the bfast burrito and pancake. Burrito was tasty with an even blend of fillings. Pancake is sodt with crispy edge. A bit too sweet for me but v good for the sweets lover. Staff was kind and worked efficiently.

We had brunch at Sunday in Brooklyn and it was great! The pancakes were sooo fluffy and thick, 2 of us still couldn't finish one. The avocado toast with lox was great as well. My husband ordered the s'mores latte and the presentation as well as taste was perfect!! However do not order the matcha.

What a great spot!! We came here for a lovely dinner that most certainly did NOT disappoint! Sunday in Brooklyn is a delightful little corner spot that seems small initially, but actually has plenty of seating throughout - including in an upstairs space. Regardless, we were promptly seated (without a reservation) in a table downstairs, and had very friendly, hospitable service throughout our visit. While dining, we ordered a few of the cocktails, and I found each one I tried to be a good amount of strength while also creative in the flavors and heat. My personal favorite was the Ski Lift, which is a hot cocktail with bourbon, coffee, and other ingredients - soooo soothing, STRONG, and flavorful! Now on to main event - the food! My wood-fired lasagna was INCREDIBLE - so much flavor, texture, and uniqueness to each bite. My partner's chicken pot pie was similarly unique and yet familiar in its excellent textures and taste! Sunday in Brooklyn had a wonderful ambiance, lovely food, and great service - I highly recommend!

Man o man, where do I begin?! The place is very warm and rustic that got crowded real quick. I went with a friend because I was dying to try their pancakes and it did not disappoint. We shared the meal and I'm glad I did. The pancakes were soft, drenched with brown sugar syrup and whew, I rubbed my chest. So recommended!!

I will never get over this place. Staff is always friendly. I went to the dog park around the area so l needed something that was dog friendly and this place was. Aside from being dog friendly, the food is just top notch. Taking classic breakfast staples and add their own touch to it. I had a BLT sandwich that was just out of this world. Will recommend over and over again.

Returned about five months later for a winter visit on MLK Day to celebrate my brother's birthday, and this spot still holds up as a strong brunch destination. We came as a group of six and were seated within 5-10 minutes, which was impressive given the holiday. They have three floors and were able to accommodate us comfortably on the third floor, noticing that it was smaller and more quiet than the other two floors. Food highlights: * Triple Stack Pancake with Hazelnut Praline Maple ($26): Rich, gooey, and indulgent. Some at the table weren't expecting the sweet-savory profile, and while the topping didn't fully soak into the center of the pancake, I actually appreciated that. It allowed parts of the cornbread-like pancake to shine through without becoming soggy or overly sweet. Decadent but balanced. 7.2/10 * Biscuits and Gravy ($21): A pleasant surprise. Where some dishes leaned heavy, this one struck the right balance comforting, flavorful, and not overpowering. 8.3/10 * Confit Mushroom Toast ($19): Unfortunately too salty and intense, which made it hard to finish. 4.8/10 * Shakshuka: Still solid, with a noticeable kick of spice this time. 7.5/10 Overall, the branding remains on point. cute, cohesive, and very Williamsburg. service was efficient and friendly again. Prices are undeniably high, but the experience, atmosphere, and standout dishes help justify it.

WOW WOW WOW!!! I loved almost everything! My cosmo was on the tart side of flavor, but a bit of simple syrup helped balance that. As far as food, NOTHING disappointed. The Confit mushroom toast was delicious. Salty, but flavorful. I didn't like poached eggs until I had this starter, because they did it right. The Sunday Pancakes were beautiful! A bit crispy but almost sponge/fluffy soft inside. The hazelnut maple praline was not too sweet. I'd recommend eating it as soon as it arrives at the table. The Sunday burger was great as well. We added avocado & chose sausage. I'm not a sausage gal, but I actually liked this sausage very much. My friend order a bloody, & there has not been a restaurant that I've ever said they make good bloodies, but this bloody was IT! I was impressed! Loved it. Service was great. Our server cared about me liking my drink, and was very kind and attentive. Understandably so a Michelin restaurant for one of the best places for brunch! I without a doubt plan on coming here again!

It's been awhile since I've been to Sunday in Brooklyn, but the craving for their pancakes suddenly struck, and thus we braved the wait on a Saturday. Despite the estimate being 1.5 hours, we only waited 45 min at a nearby coffee shop and then were able to be seated. I had forgotten how large the pancakes are, and so when the triple stack arrived, we all gasped. But it was the right amount for our party of 4, when added to the mushroom confit toast (amazing), cheddar scramble, shakshuka, and egg & cheese sandwich. My favorites were definitely the pancakes (a bit corn-bread like, with hazelnut maple praline) and the mushroom confit toast (so mushroomy, the shiitake really shines here!). Worth the wait? Definitely, since you're not just standing in line, and can go to the riverfront while you wait or stroll around grand street and pop into all the boutiques!

Sunday In Brooklyn Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Sunday In Brooklyn

    Do they have high chairs?

    Very limited.

    Is the Brooklyn location open?

    Yes!

Can there be a vegan brunch option that consists of something more than a salad?

Carlynn, as I can remember and looking over their menu, I don't see anything other than salads especially if you don't do dairy. You could probably ask them in advance of going to accommodate you. You never know.

Would I be able to bring a stroller here?

Indoor may be a little tight but they have many outdoor seatings which you'll be able to.

Do they serve the pancakes during dinner service? Please help :)?

    No :(

Is it ok to bring a dog for outdoor heated space?

I'm not sure but I don't think they would have an issue call 1st to double check.

    Is there bottomless brunch options?

I didn't see that as an option 😿😿

    Do they take reservations?

Yes they do. If you DL the resy app you can do a reservation. I did that 2 months ago when I came here for the 1st time.

    What vegan options?

Not many vegan options, but I'd recommend the avocado toast with a side salad.

What is the noise level? Thanks

The noise level is average but the wait times on Sunday for brunch are insane and not worth it. They need to come up with a better system.

Do they have pancakes all day?

No, just during breakfast and brunch hours. Their pancakes are AMAZING by the way.

Can you just sit at the bar for drinks? or must you sit at a table to eat &drink?

    Of course!

Is this place really dog friendly?

We have sidewalk seating that the health department allows dogs!

How long is the average wait time on the weekends?

Our waits range quite a bit but generally for parties of 2-4 you can expect a 45-1.5 hour wait.

    Do they offer vegan options?

Yes, they modified sides and apps when I went there. Waiter was very knowledgeable and knew what was needed to veganize select items. I went for dinner, but last time I looked it seemed brunch would have more opportunity for veganized entrees.

Is this place toddler-friendly? Do they have high chairs?

    Absolutely!

    Do they offer bottomless brunch?

Hahaha. If they did, it would cost an arm and a leg!

Is this place closed? I tried calling but seems the phone is disconnected or not working.

They never answer the phone. The place is open. You just have to go there.

What time do they stop serving brunch?

Brunch is everyday from 10:00 AM - 3:30 PM.

The speakeasy vibe and the dark ambiance really makes this place feel even more exclusive. With just a few tables and the bar setting, you're in for an experience you won't forget (unless you answer the wrong questions and really end up with a drink you don't like HA). This wasn't my case. Of course I described my two favorite things: Negroni + mezcal. The obvious answer would be a mezcal Negroni, but that's not why one comes to a place like Attaboy. Our amazing curator came by to ask us all a few questions, write down a few words in the napkins, and mix up the perfect drink that our master bartender crafts, curates and creates. My drink came as I couldn't possibly imagine. It looked like a Negroni smelled like Oaxaca, with all the smoke simmering up and preparing my sensory experience, leading to the best first sip.
