However, last week when I went to renew my registration, I realized I had to do a smog check in order to complete the process. W H A T!?!?! I panicked because I have never gotten a smog check before AND my registration was literally due in a days. I paid for the fees and went right on to Yelp to start my search. There were many places through out the SGV and OC around me, all had very reasonable prices. However, not all of them were opened on Sundays. I was already on my way to Rowland Heights to run some errands so I decided to stop by Smog Test Only Discount Center nearby just to see if they would accept walk ins. Thank Goodness they were opened until 2pm and only had 1 customer before me. The total time spent was approximately 30 minutes and total cost was $55 (accepts Cash, CC, Zelle). Maria helped me and she was SO nice! I am not sure if I may need another smog check anytime soon, but I do plan on referring friends and family here if they ever need one. Bonus: They offer hair cut services as well. Not sure if it is for me but I can totally see men getting a buzz cut here while they wait.

He had great experience there and shortly after I also received a notice for smog check for my car. I went there and one of the guys there noticed and greeted me. It took about 15 mins since no car was in front of me. With cash,$49 or with card, $51. Very fair pricing. Great and fast service. And all of the guys there were friendly and working very efficiently. After me, couple more people came in, but their cars started to be checked right away from where they were parked. Instead of charging me for the service/diagnosis again like other shops or dealerships would do, Mike only charged me to replace the second part. More recently, I was installing a new aftermarket radio in my car and when I went to turn it on, I threw a check engine light/code and the car was struggling to crank. I towed it here and Mike and his team figured out the problem that same day. The issue wasn't anything crazy, it was because I forgot to plug in a certain part, which I thought only had to do with the a/c (stupid mistake on my end). Mike didn't charge me for the diagnosis, even though most shops would or they would make things up to charge you for it. This shop is very honest and has fair to good pricing. Very reliable and easy to work with. Definitely a lifetime customer.

While we were sitting around, I was browsing around yelp and noticed that this place offers a coupon discount on smog check. It states "must present coupon prior to service". When he pulled up with a paper for a signature, I mentioned this discount to him and he told me that I needed to show him that when I came in. It doesn't specifically state on the coupon that I needed to show the coupon when I come in. Plus, he didn't even start the service on my car yet. He was really rude about it after and told me he is losing money if he decided to give me the promotion and he can't just adjust the price after printing out the paper. There was also no apologies. If he wants to do business correctly, he needs to own what is said on the coupon and not just change it last minute. I just felt bad vibes throughout this experience and left with a sour taste in my mouth. I ended up paying almost $60 for this smog check which I could've done for cheaper at another place. Since we've been Mobil cardholders since 1990 we searched for Mobil on my way home and I really needed to use a the restroom. I spent $90.00 in gas and yet the male attendant refused to allow me to use a restroom. I told him I've driven from Riverside to LA and heading back and really needed it and he clearly saw i bought gas yet he still said it's only for employees. CA Building Code requires buildings to build public restrooms for the public not only employees yet they continue to use Covid19 as an excuse not to let a customer use the restroom. I agree that it should only be for customers but he refused. What do they want travelers to do? A gas station has a restroom for a reason. If I could give zero stars I would. I only reason for 1 star is they're open 24/7.
