They just did my brakes recently and I told them to do all 4. I left the car there and picked it up later and when I got back they only charged me for the front brakes. They said the back still had some life which is very honest because I had told them to change all 4! It has in fact half life left. Brought our 2020 vehicle in for a simple oil change. 6 days later car is putting out white smoke, the check engine light came on, and error message displayed on the screen that stated 'malfunction in the electronic control of the engine, throttle, or automatic transmission has been detected. Contact dealer.' Took car to Longo Toyota, and they asked who we had do oil service, because it was 2 quarts over. So we ended up paying the dealer to correct the issue. I've been their customer since 2009. I didn't know cars much, but they always served my 2004 Camry well. Now I have much more knowledge about cars and I change the oil filter and air filter myself, but for more complex jobs or anything I'm not sure about, I always go back to them. Their price is always reasonable, and they only use quality parts. For most parts they only use OEM, but for some parts, they use 3 parties that the quality is better than OEM. Their car is very bad. I went to their car shop for maintenance, but the problems kept coming. I spent almost $500 on the tire light, but it came back on within a month. They charged me over $500 to replace 2 brake pads. The car was fine when I sent it to them, but the next day after I got it back, the window remote control didn't work. I went to them and they said it was broken and it would cost over $400. The oldest man in their car had the same car as mine. I saw them swapping parts from that old man's car with my car. I suspect they put all the broken parts from that old man on my car. I have an old Toyota car, and it had many big and small problems after I went to their car shop for maintenance. The wait for oil change is usually 45 mins, unless other people are ahead of you, it may take up to a little over 1 hour. Price is fair and from my experience, they will inform me on price before they do any services. They couldn't repair my car at all. The reason why they couldn't repair it in the end was that your car was too old and their charges were very expensive compared to other car stores. The owner just wants money from your pocket. They can only solve some simple mechanical problems, but as long as circuits and computer complex problems are involved, they cannot solve them at all. I was an old customer who has been with them over 10 years before I went to some place closer to my home. Last time my dad's car has an problem and even with no error code they are able to find out what is the issue and fix it in a short time. They may not be the cheapest option out there but the price they charge is well justify by the quality of the work they performed. Wow - Great Experience! My poor Toyota Van had an emergency, and needed an emergency repair. It was on my list to do, but my van's Water Pump failed before I got to it. I started the van, and all of a sudden my idiot light panel started blinking like crazy and the temperature was super high. I immediately stopped the engine, and noticed a lot of some fluid under my van. Great, now I need to clean my concrete way - thoughts of when I was courting my wife and my 73 Opal Sedan leaked onto my girl friends (now wife - she forgave me, finally) driveway bubbling up. I remember her cleaning the driveway one time when I drove up. Back to the present. I figure I will need to tow my van. Hmm, my go to Mechanic is in El Monte, and that is around 12 miles away. Toyoto gave me an estimate of around $1500 to do. My El Monte Guy is around $750. The cheapest I find for the actual part on eBay is $48, but I find you basically need to lift the entire engine to replace the water pump. It's not just a couple of bolts as was with my trusty old Opal Sedan. Hmm, not a job I want to handle. I check prices by looking at Yelp Reviews, and do some phone calls to check prices. Hmm, Toyo is about the same price, and a mile from my house, down hill. And they claim to be Toyota Experts. I call, and they guy who answers has the same year Toyota Sienna I do. And with more miles on it. Wow! He offers a free inspection, since I was not 100% sure what the problem was. My first panicked thought was something went wrong with the oil change, but looking at the fluid on my formerly unstained driveway, it's not oily. And I check the radiator, next morning after I moved it to the street allowing the engine to cool, and it's empty. The mechanic says it should be no problem to drive it a mile safely for a free quote. Hmm. So I fill my van's radiator with water, do some quick prayers, and drive there. Great news, the van does not over heat! After some negotiations and answers to questions, they agree to do the work. Yelp reviews look good, they give the right answers, no tow truck needed (and the wait and commute both ways - what is 2 hours of my time, and my wife's worth). And they will have it done by 4PM. So at 4PM I get a call, and I get a ride back. And the most impressive experience I have had in COVID Crazy So CA happened! They gave me my van's key, and along with a wipe. So I could wipe the key. WOW!!! That was amazing. read more

They get to the point and are honest about what needs to be done. Integrity can be hard to find, I know I had given up trying to expect a mechanic to have some. That is why there are so many 5 star reviews here. I used to work my cars in the past. Oil changes, replacing starters, oil pumps, changing fluids, and diagnosing issues so I can tell the mechanics what is wrong. Now with my TL, I just bring it to Dennis. I have come to trust Dennis. I had my car serviced here about two-three months ago and I can say I have no complaints. I was actually going to another shop in the same lot that had been recommended by a friend, when I saw the sign that stated they specialize in Lexus. I pulled up their yelp reviews, and since they had the same amound of stars as the place I was headed to, and the reviews were positive, I figured I'd give it a try. They quickly diagnosed my problem, and since I had already had my car checked out at the dealership, I knew their diagnosis was spot on. They fixed my car for about two-thirds of the price the dealership wanted to charge, and so far I have had no problems. read more

Received a quote from Toby before I dropped off my car for service. He quoted me $100 to install the drive belt that I'd provided and also fix a minor transmission oil leak. The bill came to be $128 instead of the quoted $100. Twenty eight percent (28%) more than what I was quoted for. This is an unacceptable bait and switch technique that he thinks will work with all his customers. He told me that he had to use brake fluid to clean up the leaked area of the transmission. Sorry, that's not my problem. Screw me once and I'll never come back again. Thanks but no thanks. Free Tip of the day: Be honest with your customers and you'll never have to worry about not having enough business to keep your shop busy again. Stop trying to find ways to nickel and dime your customers. It will backfire as you should already aware. read more
