It is very rare that I would rate a car dealer. There are just so many variables that it is virtually impossible to give a fair review. Your experience will depend on; who dealt with your purchase, the car you bought and your expectations regarding that vehicle. With that said however, the experience I have had here was wonderful. My niece just graduated college and we were hunting for a starter car. We had a long day searching for a few cars before we ended up here. It was late, already a couple hours past closing time. We just wanted to look at the car and schedule a test drive at a later day. Luckily, Mark, the owner was still there and he enthusiastically offered us to take a test drive. There was no hovering or pushing, he gave us the keys and continued on with his business. When it came time for the test drive, he simply copied my license and send us on our way. We live pretty far away so everything was dealt through the phone afterwards. They kept their promise and replaced a new bumper for me and continued to be courteous throughout. I got the pleasure of working with James and later got to meet Jeff, all great guys! And check this out, I got an Audi A4, 2006 with Navi, fully loaded, all wheel drive with tax, tag, fees and everything, comes out to 5 grand! What a deal! Mark was an awesome gentleman, he knew my niece was still fresh out of college and owned loans so he actually called and gave us back 100 dollars after we were done with the paper work and on our way home. What dealer does this? Also, they offered for me to come back so they can fix the glove box on my Audi, plus paint my new bumper. This is AFTER I bought the car and left! I mean, what dealer would ever go this distance! Thanks guys, one of the best experiences I've had purchasing a vehicle! I almost forgot and had to go back and add one more thing. Watch out for this dealership. Yes, I did get a great deal on a car but they are not being truthful about the condition of the car. They take advantage of not disclosing anything if not ask and because I bought the car over the Internet and never actually showed up in person to check the car. Good thing that I spotted some discrepancies before finalizing the sale and they agreed to provide these free of charge to me (an extra smart key and front emblem). I was very disappointed and surprised at the condition of the car when I received it via DAS. It was not well taken care of and there are many undisclosed damages to the outside and inside while the dealership claimed that this car is in great condition and shows little wear and no abuse. It's totally the other way around. The car show signs of abuse and not well maintained. Communications from them are great prior of buying but don't expect them to return your calls or talk to you post-purchase. read more

Similar to others experiences, this is not a 5 star dealer. We found a great deal on a car on their website and after leaving them a message, Vincent returned the call quickly and provided me additional pictures of the underside of the vehicle as I had requested. Additionally I asked about the outside condition and mechanical condition of the vehicle which I was assured was "good". I gave them 2 rather than 1 star because of the great communication prior to purchasing the vehicle and their willingness to negotiate on price as a result. The salesperson, Vincent and the owner both seemed to be polite and agreeable....better than some dealerships I have been to that had nicer cars but were horrible to deal with. I drove down 3.5 hrs from CT to purchase the vehicle and drive it back. As such I had requested that they have a transport plate ready to go. After inspecting the vehicle for an hour, doing a test drive, and determining that the shocks were all completely blown as well as several additional issues with the paint and body on the vehicle we were able to adjust the price to an agreeable point. We then had to go register our own vehicle over 30 minutes away! They fell through on providing the temp plate, however they did reimburse us for the amount for that plate. It just was a PITA to drive 30 minutes in the WRONG direction of CT to get a plate for a vehicle that we had agreed to buy and put a deposit on previously. The interior was also a complete sty. We knew we were getting a good deal on the vehicle, but normally places detail the interiors, not leave them with stink and stain. Fast forward to the trip home in a complete downpour, travelling over the GW Bridge and the car goes into reduced engine power, traction control disabled, service engine soon mode! We almost got stranded on the bridge with our new car! Fortunately we had a scan tool with us to reset the code and get the vehicle the rest of the way home. I took apart the throttle body and saw clear signs that someone had been in there previously to clean it. There were no codes when I bought the vehicle so it can be inferred that they knew about this issue and cleared the codes but did not communicate the issue to me or fix it before hand. I have my fingers crossed that this is the only mechanical issue with the vehicle for a long time, but we will have to see. Lastly, this "dealer" is in a run down building adjoining to an equally run down repair shop. The showroom surprisingly has a Ferrari and classic Jaguar in it, but was heated by a wood stove in the corner and the place looked like it hadn't been cleaned since the 50's. They don't have any garage bays to clean or repair your car. Don't expect a "full service" dealership at New Hope Auto Sales! read more

****BUYER BEWARE***** I felt compelled to write about my experience with New Hope Auto Sales to caution potential buyers from purchasing a vehicle here. Fortunately, they only wasted one of my days but it could have been far worse and to anyone that reads this and proceeds to buy a car here, be advised, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. I run a small landscaping and decking company. I need an additional truck for my job because my company is growing. I have been looking for a truck for two months. Because my business is very small, I do not have much money to invest in equipment and my lack of sufficient money for a new truck, is what initially attracted me to this used car dealership. I came across New Hope Auto Sales' listing for a 2005 Ford F-250. The listing declared that the truck was, "in perfect condition". I left them a message over the weekend inquiring about the truck and on monday they called me back. I went online and looked at the reviews people made for New Hope Auto Sales. I found a pervasively consistent theme of dishonesty on the part of New Hope Auto Sales, in the reviews. Although the online reviews revealed a prominent pattern of dishonesty, which was discouraging, I decided to give them a chance. On Monday October 3rd, Cameron from New Hope Auto Sales returned my call regarding the Ford F-250 Truck and I asked them if I could take the truck to my mechanic, to have a look at it, which they agreed to. Because finding a good truck, at the amount I could afford, was very important to me, I decided to take the day off from my job and drive up to New Hope and take the truck to my mechanic for him to have a look. Once I arrived I was very candid with the salesperson I met there, Cameron. I told Cameron that I saw the listing as "perfect" but I informed him that I had read the reviews online for New Hope Auto Sales and I asked him very frankly if he wished to reveal anything that was wrong with the car, otherwise my mechanic would tell me shortly. To this Cameron replied that he didn't know if there was or not. Again, I gave him the opportunity to reveal any problems with the truck, so that I could then decide if it was worthwhile for me to invest in fixing the problems. Cameron did not stray from the dishonest listing that the truck was in "perfect condition". I then drove the truck to my mechanic who revealed to me a myriad of problems with the truck's engine and transmission. I then drove the truck back and told everyone in the store that they were a bunch of dishonest assholes and that I did not appreciate them wasting my time. THANK GOD, I was smart enough to take this truck to my mechanic, who I trust. Otherwise, I would have purchased it and it would have failed me. One wasted day of work, I can deal with. Wasting a large portion of my profits, working my butt off through sweat and tears, on a terrible truck, I could NOT deal with. They may be very nice and charming but DO NOT be deceived, when you are driving one of the vehicles they sold to you, it very well may die on you as you are driving it or worse, jeopardize your life on the road, as several of the issues my mechanic pointed out to me regarding the truck were DANGEROUS. They DO NOT and WILL NOT care after the sale if this happens to you. SO BEWARE. DO NOT buy from New Hope Auto Sales. I know you may not have much money, like I do not, but it is better to still have a little bit of money rather than no money and a car that doesn't work or even worse no money and hospital bills from the injury you sustained from an accident caused by a malfunctioning vehicle they lied to you about and sold you. Car buying is such a stressful endeavor, but New Hope Auto Sales made it wayyyy less painful for me! We had been looking for a van with third row seating but have a very small budget (less than 4000 total) and were having difficulty finding something we were confident in. After my mom spotted a van at NHAS, they allowed her to take it to her mechanic. It was inspected, and they fixed a couple things for us - breaks, suspension, ect. I drove up from Gettysburg, 2.5 miles away, they took my beat up old car off my hands as a trade in, I transferred the plates right around the corner, and was on my way. I drove home the next day with my two small children behind me, feeling safe and confident in my purchase. I bought a van that Robert assured me was in great condition. He was more than happy to have me look over it and encouraged me to dig in the engine to look for problems. Turns out, he had the engine cleaned just before I got there because my mechanic said that it was leaking in so many places they had a hard time finding all the different places. Worst purchase ever. I was so compelled to write a review, never have done it before but after another failure with the car I wanted to post the following. I have bought used cars before, the last one was still running I needed to get a later year, less miles, affordable and dependable. On Jan 4th I purchased a nice 2009 Nissan Murano 117K miles. Travelled from philly to this place. Unfortunately January 13th car started to act funny. Took it to 2 places to check and both came up with the same diagnostic. I ended up putting in an entire catalyst converter system. Seriously. Then recently on Sept 4th the car turns off on me while driving during rush hour. Had it towed to the mechanic and had to have a new alternator installed. It hasn't even been a year. Right now the car is making some bad noises. It's messed up. The car turned out to be very crappy. But then again when someone is only interested to make a sale and not interested on their customer's needs and not even the credibility of their company. I would of preferred to been told the truth or referred to another car since I'm a mom with kids still in school with the need of a dependable car and was the first thing I had mentioned. read more

They kept the car for 5 weeks, were unresponsive when called, and when their insulting low ball offer was rejected became hostile and verbally aggressive. The truth, I believe, is they didn't want to actually "buy" the car, they just wanted to keep it on their lot to sell without putting any money out for it, or into it. These people should be locked up!!!! I bought a car explaining it was for my 16 year old daughter and safety was my number one priority. They assured me that was their main concern as well. They had the car inspected which means someone walked around the car and put an inspection sticker on it and that was about it. Car initially had a check engine light issue that they claimed to address and assured me the car was sound. Took car home, drove the next day and engine light came back on. Returned the car to get fixed. They claimed they fixed it. Took car out the next day, engine light back on and passenger door would not close. Returned the car again, was told was fixed again. Took car out next day and with in 5 miles of driving, the check engine light was back on. I have now taken the car to an actual mechanic to find out the car had a bad O2 sensor and the engine had multiple vac leaks not to mention that the lower ball joint was shot along with cuts in the brake lines. This was after I had to replace a broken windshield washer pump. All 3 things would have prevented the car from passing inspection. Mark and Vince are liars and don't care about customers. Stay away from this place. They give used car salesmen a bad name!!!! read more
