I needed highlights and something to help this haircut and I found my love(s) at The Loft at Staub Square. First, I had to get in today, I'm traveling for work and had no other time to get my hair done - Kevin made it happen and was very kind. Appointment reminders came via text which was super helpful. When I arrived I was pleasantly surprise to see such an intimate setting and was instantly relived that I wasn't going to be an appointment crammed in between others. Jason sat me down and reviewed my concerns/wants/needs and he listened. I've never EVER had someone totally get what I was talking about and asking for with my hair. My highlights look amazing - just a small "sparkle" to lighten me up for the Spring/Summer. A few small tweaks with my cut has taken what I had and turned it into something wonderful! His reply was the color will calm down as I wash it and with highlights will correct it. It was my first time going and I would never go back again as my first time going completely ruined the trust. He didn't cut my hair across like a normal stylist would do with scissors. He did downward strokes, possibly with thinning shears as my ends are all broken and frayed and razor scissors wouldn't do this. I only wanted my almost grown out layers trimmed and instead he added extremely short layers in a long hair cut and its all choppy and frayed and damaged looking. I'm upset because it took me forever to grow out my layers and now he started me completely over on the process which will take a couple years to grow out. I have no clue why he would do this to me. Either way I forgive him but am completely disappointed. I pray he never does this to anyone else ever again as its definitely hurtful.

Lots of moisturizing treatments with warm gloves and paraffin wax. They offered coffee, yea, or water during the pedicure. Everything was really clean and sanitized in between clients. This experience was also on target with what you would pay at some of the local competitors, like Kim Lee or young nails and the experience was just much more elegant and relaxing.

So we showed up and they were not friendly in the least. The woman who ended up cutting his hair seemed very annoyed that she was cutting a little boy's hair. I also had my other children with me who are 4 and 6 years old. They were not very friendly with them either. I even had to argue with the woman cutting my sons hair to get her to cut more of his hair - I had asked for a trim on the things that were already cut, including his bangs area and above his ears, she trimmed the bangs and did nothing with the ear area, so when she asked if we were all set, I said I'd like more taken off. She said she didn't know where to cut it, so I was like actually pointing the hair out to her. Just seemed pretty unenthused to be helping us and annoyed that we existed. I had hoped that this would also be a cheaper cut since it is a national-chain, the kids cut was $1 cheaper than the very nice boutique-style men's barber shop down the street. The cut tinted out so poorly, a friend asked if I cut his bangs myself.
