Came here with Brad, he wanted (and needed) to get his hair cut. While I was in, I decided to get mine trimmed as well. I am a no appointment, walk in kind of girl. The atmosphere was so interesting and unique. Frank Sinatra, Michael Buble, and some other classics playing in the background. It was very clean and the staff was so nice and easy to talk to. The lady that cut my hair told me where she used to work and now she and her son wanted to start their own business. Brad is simple and just said "make me look good." His stylist succeeded! I'm not sure of the details of a man's haircut but the back was all straight at his neck and the sides were perfectly angled. I liked my cut as well. My stylist was very attentive when doing out consultation. The prices were decent too. Although, I do not know the cost of the men's cut, my wash, cut, and style was $25, which is how much it usually is at the salon I visit regularly. I don't normally write reviews, first review ever actually, but finding a place in buffalo that can fade, edge you up, and cut hair is extremely difficult. Most places can only do two of the three and that's frustrating as hell. I grew up in NYC so finding a good barbershop was easy. Not in buff though. I did find one place, johnny the barber out in Williamsville, but it's way too far a drive for me. Then I saw this place on yelp, saw the high ratings, and thought wth... why not, all the other places have murdered my hair, what's another place. I walked in not expecting much but man, was I satisfied. I had my appointment with Nate and he did a great job. He kept asking questions about how I wanted my hair and did it exactly how I described it. The pictures don't do it justice (since I'm trying to selfie the angles and horrible lighting) but this is the first time in a long time that I didn't have to fix the cut myself after I got home. The atmosphere there is chill too. Nate kept the conversation going and the women stylists were down to earth. It seems like they tailor to all walks of life from businessmen to college kids to families. Would recommend this place to any one looking for a fresh cut the way they want it. My 10 year old son has a longer "hockey hair" style. We went to this establishment a couple months ago and they did a great job. We made an appointment yesterday for a quick trim. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! Not only was the music dropping the f word and the n word, not one of the 3 barbers thought to change the music or turn it down when I walked in with my 10 year old. Then, the young man who cut my child's hair, absolutely BUTCHERED it. No rhyme or reason to the cut, some parts are long, some parts are short and the back is completely uneven. We asked for my sons curls to be left in the back and he left some strands and cut the rest short. I would have complained at the moment, but my son was in tears and walking out the door because he was so upset. It literally looks like my son is losing his hair. My teenage son wanted to go here so I scheduled their next available appointment at 6:30pm the next day. I picked my son up from the other end of Lockport to bring him during rush hour and arrived 15 minutes early only to be told he can't be seen because his appointment was at 6pm and we are late. In my opinion they held disparaging demeanor because they believed I missed the appointment. However, my phone records all calls and the appointment was for 6:30. Visited this salon based on the reviews so I feel I must write my own review of what I experienced. My hair was done by Jackie, the owner. She was pleasant and chatty. I told her the style I wanted and even produced a picture. Sure she said, she could easily cut my hair into that style. Good, I thought, as I've had it before. She said she has been cutting hair for a long time and I felt I was in good hands. I gave her a few specifics on what I like and dislike. Maybe she wasn't listening, maybe she forgot, maybe it was the constant distractions of scheduling, talking with other workers and customers... I don't know, but when I got home and really looked at my hair I nearly cried. It honestly looked like she had just randomly hacked here and there and it did NOT look like the picture. When I looked at the back (which she didn't show me while there) I found a 3/4 inch long chunk by each ear - WHAT ?? I can't imagine why she would purposely leave it, maybe it was one of those distractions, meant to cut them off but... Sorry to say it looked even worse after washing all the products out. Have since had my hair restyled, and trust me, it wasn't here. read more
