It cost me $1420 and the results that didn't even last a month. I have previously done botox at the different salon and in fact , know that for me it lasts longer than a month. I guess it lasts longer as long as you do it anywhere else but at this place. Beyond dissapointed! I came to this salon as I needed some minor touch up on my forehead. I was ready to spend money and get best results as their reviews claim. I was told that each unit would cost me $10 , which seemed very reasonable! Ive been going to Tatiana since I was 26 and have followed her from that medspa to another business as she's worked on opening this MedSpa. I've ventured away only when commuting to see her was hard for me but found myself going right back to her because she just knows what works best for my face! I have only gotten Botox which has always been on the more natural side- with some movement in my face. There was once a newer employee, who's work I was unhappy with and Tatiana told me to come right back and she would fix it. I have also gone to Virginia, who I enjoyed, and now I see Tiffany regularly (since Tatiana is busy busy :) ) but I trust them because they were trained by her. ***I'd like to start this by stating clearly and ethically- I have deleted my prior post I wrote where I rated New Image Works Glenview 5 stars, and I'd like explain why I have changed it to only one star. To give you my background, I have my Bachelor's degree in Marketing Communications with a concentration in PR, my aesthetician license in the state of IL, and professional certification for makeup artistry as well. I started my work for a board certified plastic surgeon on the Upper East Side of NYC where I developed my passion for this industry at age 24, and I am now 31. 7 years of experience later, a rapidly growing market, and money hungry, dishonest business owners- something I unfortunately ran into with this scam of a practice, New Image Works Glenview- owners Dmitry & Tatiana Alexeev, and here I am, writing my story to help others from getting taken advantage of. THE FULL STORY: Let me begin with, AMERICAN (or Russian in their case) GREED IS REAL, no matter what industry you're in. When you're a dishonest business owner, you can only get away with doing the WRONG thing and being deceitful so many times until someone catches you, and I happen to be the person who's caught you and the system you're running red handed, and I sure don't mind writing this lengthly review to inform everyone else who reads it so they can choose to go to another medical spa or plastic surgery office that operates ethically and handles business the RIGHT way, because we do have MANY options these days. I originally visited New Image Works Glenview to get my lips injected with Hyaluronidase (an enzyme that dissolves filler) to un-do years of injectable build up and also use the mask mandate to my advantage. I had seen all the work that the nurse injectors post on Instagram, specifically Virginia's images, which are beautiful, and decided to give them a call. When I made my appointment, I was able to get in with Violetta. I should've done my research prior to coming in, because to date, (now this may change if they contact whoever handles their website to make a simple adjustment), Violetta is actually the only person who does not have any of her bio information listed such as her education or where she attended nursing school; it's completely blank. One month later after my lips were dissolved, on January 15, 2021 at 3pm, I returned to have my lips re-injected from Violetta. I had absolutely no filler remaining, and she mentioned that she may have to inject more Hyaluronidase to dissolve what was still at my central vermilion border. I explained to her that since I was a baby, this been the anatomy of my lips. She made an educated guess after meeting me one time, but she was wrong. If I had been the injector, I would've asked for a picture of what my lips looked like prior to injections, but she just assumed she knew, which makes sense because she told me she's only been injecting for 2 years, which in the grand scheme of life is not very long at all. Don't get me wrong, Violetta was very kind, sweet, and I genuinely liked her, I even offered to babysit her kids to give her some date time with her husband), so I wrote Tatiana, the CEO, on Instagram (since Violetta said that's the best way to contact her instead of email) that my experience was very good with her and sent a lot of positive energy and praise her way. I will say though, I've never heard of any successful CEO of a legitimate company being best reached over Instagram, a platform where you can literally unsend messages, but usually people are so quick to highlight the negative and not send positive feedback a business's way, so I figured it was one of the only means for me to share my experience. Besides writing a Google review to help positively promote their business as a thank you, I also took around 40-50 of Violetta's business cards, wrote my name on the back of them and passed them out at a fitness studio I attend here in the city. Violetta had mentioned using Allergan's Juvederm injectable opposed to Galderma's Restylane Kysse like I had requested. Her response was, "All the younger girls are coming in and getting Juvederm, and it will give you a significantly fuller look rather than the Restylane Kysse. I reminded her again how I'm 31 years old and didn't want to look like the younger girls or these "Instagram influencers" that in my opinion all look the same now and are setting a completely unrealistic standard of beauty for the younger generation of girls and women in today's society. I wanted a soft, natural look that felt real. She bargained with me telling me the Juvederm was $50 cheaper, and I said I was okay with spending a little more to have a more natural result. I've been going to new image works for over a year now. I go to the Old Town location and see Karissa for Botox and fillers. I've also seen Ken for Coolsculpting. They're very prompt and attentive, and it's very clean and a modern office with music and TVs in the rooms for your appointment. Karissa is wonderful and listens to what I want and is thorough in explaining what she needs to do to achieve the look I want. They offer really good packages that can save you hundreds of $$$ if you're getting multiple syringes. Karissa makes me feel comfortable and stops if I need a breather. I also don't bruise as much with her as I have bruised with other injectors at prior businesses I've gone to. After writing a review way back when about New Image. I should written this earlier. Stay away. I had gone in originally for micro needling HF. I had no idea what was going to happen after that first treatment. I listened to Otune and she's as slick as they come. Second visit, without asking me, she changes to a higher strength laxer. No numbing. No mirrors in the room either. My face was on fire and it hurt for days, I go back for deplaning of dead skin. Did my skin have a glow? Yes, a glow with pain. Were my wrinkles a little bit better? Absolutely not! Otune went on and in how about how great I looked. "Can I use your before and after pics on Instagram? I said, as long as no one will know it is me, fine. I reluctantly go for the third treatment. No numbing, again, which is done in every doctors office before using a laser. Again, without asking , she goes to a full blown l, more invasive procedure, Moxie Lazer. Right away the pain started. I want you to know that I have a very high tolerance for pain. I asked her repeatedly to turn the lazer down. Didn't happen. She looks at me and says, ok you're going to look so good! I got in the car, my face was swollen 3x larger than my normal face. I was in so much pain, I was ready to go to an immediate care center or an ER. I got home and criedI had six burns/blisters on my face. I was in agony for more than a week. My neighbor gave some of her pain medication. I was too embarrassed to go see a doctor. In hindsight, that is exactly what I should have done! She called me the next day so overly cheerful.in You must look beautiful now. Call me if need anything. I called her back the very next day. I Told her about the excess swelling and unbearable pain. And, told I had burns all over my face. I asked to please call me back and advise me on what to do. I heard nothing. She saw me when I left and she knew damn well what she did. She also sent my photos the manufacturer of the equipment company without my permission - verbal or on writing. And, she tells me about it! I was furious I should have listened to my doctor and not fallen for a bill of goods for treatments that I didn't asked for. The second time, I scheduled my appointment, I told the staff that I did NOT want such an invasive treatment. She paused and said, well you better tell Otune that - like this has happened to others. Also, I've been getting Botox for 15 years and never paid more than $400 at Northwestern Hospital Dermatology Department. A very young, probably right out if school young woman, gave me the Botox. She did not do my whole face. Only the forehead and around my eyes and the bottom of my chin. $600!! And, I when I got home I had a 3-inch,black bruise on my chin the size of s as large band aid. In fact, Otune asked what happened to my chin. I told her and she rolled her eyes. I spent almost $2,000 and got nothing except a decent Botox treatment with bruising for a ridiculous amount of money. You can see how old my first post was. After that, I was steaming mad for months. I'd see her on Instagram like a pushy sales person on commission. My friend, told me that should have never happened. She didn't do what you asked even when you were in pain. She burned you. (You could still see it) - and never returned your call to see what she could do for you. Call and tell Tatiana. She needs to know what's going on. She's always at the other office. She would want to know. Well a lot of time passed and I thought forget it. Lesson learned. I totally got ripped off. So, Tatiana, if you read this/ now you know. After I read what I wrote and remembered what happened the next 3 visits, now you know. After getting Botox and fillers from years and being told by my doctor what to get because she didn't have the equipment, I clearly remember what she told me. Only let a nurse practitioner work on your face. For all the great treatment I had in the past , this was a nightmare that I will never forget. $2,000 for lies, pain, burns, bruises and not even a call back when I was in agony. So folks, listen to a doctor or nurse practitioner. Don't let someone bulldoze you into something you didn't ask for. And, go to a professional - not a girl right out of school and a woman who wanted to bring in money. You see this place, keep driving. I was going to blast this all over the internet and local media. Otune really lucked out that I dropped it! Because for 30 years my job has been media relations and reputation management for national corporations and non profits. I did print and broadcast interviews daily - sitting on the hot seat for the CEOs. All I had to do was pick up the phone and call some reporters in that area that I had worked with. Alright so I wanted to give this review some time. I went in to have my nasolabial folds filled in. This was my most distressful area on my face that I wanted to fix. I went in as a first time filler user as a splurge to boost my self esteem. I have gained and lost weight many times in my life due to thyroid issues and an eating disorder so I'm pretty flabby and don't have a youthful glow about me on my face( 30 years old). I saw an NP who was sweet and seemingly non judgemental but was at the same time. I had a hard time being maskless because of my insecurities but she brought out some more insecurities in me than I anticipated seeing a medical professional who is probably used to seeing young in shape women. During my consultation I mentioned to her I have thyroid issues and she looked at my body up and down and said "hypothyroid" and totally assumed that based on my body configuration. I have hyperthyroidism/hashimotos that I've mostly been treated for. The assumption from looking at my body was pretty unpleasant and unprofessional. She should now and understand that everybody is different and she seemed in disbelief that I had hyperthyroidism issues due to my heavier weight. I was then advised to do voluma in my cheeks rather than anything with my nasolabial folds. I trusted her since she probably has way more experience than me in this area. I did two Syringes of voluma in which she said they would soften my nasolabial folds due to my extreme facial volume loss. In short, I spent close to 1500$, and it really didn't' make any difference in my nasolabial folds at all. I appreciated the cheek lift while I was swelling but it went down significantly in two weeks in which I didn't see much of a difference. I don't mind the moderate cheek volume but it's so minuscule that it didn't change much about my face or nasolabial folds. With my inexperience, i trusted the medical practitioner and figured it would make the change I was hoping for. In short, I would've preferred to spend less money on filler to have my actual issue addressed rather than spend 2x the amount where it totally wasn't. In fact I would probably require two more syringes to fix the issue had I gone the full-on cheek filler route. I understand that the nasolabial fold is a high risk area for practioners because of the vasculature nature of the area, but I wish she was more forthcoming with her fear of injecting in this area so that maybe i could go to someone more comfortable and experienced in doing this procedure. I think a lot of places are scared to inject in this area so they suggest cheek filler first. In my case it would cost 4K~ of filler in my cheeks to get the desirable result in my nasolabial folds whereas I could get filler directly there and pay ~$700 with a noticeable difference. In this regard I feel like the money came over honesty in which they could've explained their personal fear and risk of injection this dangerous area and were more honest about expectations. I would have gone elsewhere and spent less money to achieve the desirable result, like a plastic surgeons office, but I had no experience with fillers so I didn't know what what to realistically expect. read more

She knew i wasn't in the market for fillers, yet my "smile lines" were really aging me, so she recommended threads. She thoroughly explained the procedure and educated me about what to expect. After a little numbing, she started threading and explained what she was doing each step of the way. Almost immediately, i could see amazing results and i cant wait to see more improvement as they are absorbed. Never again! I was VERY disappointed. I don't know if they water the Botox down or what but it's not worth it. I do not recommend. I went twice and still not satisfied, so decided to reach out and was not given the customer service I've gotten at med spas before. Dr. Julia contacted me and make excuses to why it didn't work for me. There was no concern that a client was dissatisfied, she was trying to get me to buy more units. First I didn't buy the package so it wasn't enough. Then I got the, "well since you are getting older you need more. Finally, "well it's about 3 months since so you can just buy the full package this time. Funny thing is that my best friend also went and did the package and still didn't have full results and even went back for a touch up and still the same. She told me when she spoke to Dr. Julia and that she gave her the same and that she gave me. Lol.
