Note: This is primarily a takeout joint. Do not bring your family in-tow and expect a waiter serviced meal. Ordered: Veg Biryani ($5.99, as per Benny's suggestion) & Butter Chicken ($6.25). If this place was in Brampton/Scarb, the prices would be considered a bit high. 3 samosas/$1.50 is special price for The White Man/person who doesn't have much options in the area. Front of shop needs a facelift, let's be honest here. Reminds me of Lazeez, down the street. Could use a repainting and a nice scrub down. Lady behind the counter could've cracked a smile or exchanged some sort of pleasantry...but she didn't. Looked a bit miserable to me, but hey, it's not fine dining. Veg Biryani - Was good, did have a depth of flavour. This may seem menial, but I *loved* the fresh chopped onions, carrot pickle, & that green sauce that came in a smaller, separate container. I put that stuff right on top of my biryani! Butter Chicken - Hmm...I'm mixed about this. It was awh-ight. Chicken was off the bone and it seemed as though it was cooked separately then thrown in the gravy. Sauce was ok too. Not the best that I've had and certainly not the worse. So if you're in the area and feel like an Indian takeout, it's ok. However, I wouldn't drive out of my way for it!

Plenty of Indian sweets selection. We enjoyed the Gulan Jamun, the sweet that looks like Gulab Jamun but with stuffing inside (I forgot what it's called) and the Milk Barfi. I love the colours and the desserts are not too sweet but definitely great to end our Sri Lankan dinner.

Takeout order: Butter Chicken, Aloo Gobi, Mixed Veg and Channa Masala. Got home and opened up my large containers of takeout and this is what appeared before me: Channa Masala not submersed in a two centimetre protective layer of Ghee?! Aloo Gobi not soaked in lovely red Ghee-goodness?! Mixed Vegetables not dripping wet with reddy Ghee goo? What the heck?! I can't even imagine not pouring Ghee out of my take out containers. Dabbing my food with paper towel to soak up excessive amounts of Ghee. What is happening here?! In so much denial, I begin to load my plate of homemade Veg Biriyani with spoonfuls of of this culinary mirage. Bite after bite. Inspection of each spoonful. Huge chunks of chicken. Gravy. Cauliflower, peppers, onions. Flavours? Spices? Nom Nom Nom. Verdict in Two words: YUMMY DELICIOUSNESS!!! Where has his place been all my life? This was our first time ordering from NI and won't be the last. One Star for wowing me about the Ghee and Three additional Stars for taste. I have to check this place out again for consistency. Follow up review to come. Sorry about not having pics. The ghee less poods distracted me. Lol. Peace!

Amazing value for money. None of the restaurants in the area have prices as low as this restaurant. And the quality here is on par with the others. The ambience isn't that great but why not get take out instead? Highly recommended.

    Best samosas!!! Homemade goodness.

Although i felt that if there would have been more whisked curd , it would have been more delicious. The noodles and Manchurian were appropriate and cooked nicely with fresh ingredients. The packaging was good and all the safety precautions were taken care of . Highly recommend to everyone.

It was with this in mind that I decided on the chicken fried rice, with a side of chili chicken. The addition of plenty of green onions perfumed the rice and provided an extra bit of texture with the crunch. I did feel it could have done with an additional sprinkling or two of salt. I generally do not like bell peppers, but the addition of them in the chili chicken dish was not entirely off putting as they were not raw. The dish came with a nicely seasoned and spicy sauce, which was a good accompaniment to the fried rice. The gulab jamun (one piece per order) is bigger compared to what you'd normally expect when ordering this dessert at an Indian restaurant. Loved the addition of the crushed pistachios, which not only added a great contrast in texture, but also imparted its flavor into the syrup. Great, sweet ending to the meal.

The interior is beautiful and spacious, which is great for groups of all sizes. As someone who considers Indian food once of their favorite cuisines, coming here is like being a kid im a candy shop. All the curries have amazing flavor and just the right amount of spices, they make fresh naan & dosas to order, endless options of yogurts, chutneys, garnishes, fresh fruit/veg, and desserts. My favorite curries were the Kadai Paneer, Butter Butter Chicken, Malai Soya Chaap, and Palak Paneer. I've had their biryanis in the past as well and I do remember them being amazing just a little on the spicier side. When I go to buffets like this I typically focus on the proteins and freshly made breads. They have a large (if not the same quantity as the meat ones) variety for vegetarians as well. I like that some of the desserts they put up here are rotational and different from what you'd usually find at an a la carte or other indian buffets, like sweet white pumpkin and rose flavored rice pudding. They still have classics like gajar ka halwa, gulab jamun, and mango custard but it's always fun to try new stuff. I find that price is standard, if not slightly cheaper than other buffet formats like sushi, kbbq, hotpot, etc. and as someone who frequently enjoys eating solo I'd probably stick to coming around weekday lunchtime for a lower price. Service was deceng, I felt that my table was regularly kept clean but it took a while for me to get a water refill and more napkins. Overall I recommend Tandoori Flame, it's definitely a unique experience with what they offer & this is going to be one of my top spots for when I'm feeling a treat :)

The servers really try to push you to order/purchase drinks upon arrival. The still water on the table is also an additional charge, so don't fall for the bait. We had to request "tap water" specifically multiple times to avoid getting charged for the still water. The buffet itself was good. There was a decent variety and they kept replenishing dishes rather quickly. I enjoyed the made-to-order roti station and the garlic naan in particular. It was fun to try the different curries. Keep in mind the proteins are mostly chicken, with some goat and vegetarian (chickpea, paneer) options. There's no beef or pork. The mains are good, but rather heavy so I had a difficult time eating a lot. The entrees were better than the desserts. Overall, very decent Indian food. It's more worth it if you value being able to sample different dishes/flavours. The servers cleared our plates quickly, but were very slow to fill up our glasses with tap water. While paying the bill, I didn't appreciate how pushy our server was about leaving a five-star review. It made me feel uncomfortable. So here I am leaving my honest experience/review.

They do not leave jugs but our server, Snow, replenished the water for others regularly.. she was friendly, helpful and funny. Since I need vegan and gluten free the only items I could have were the salad without feta, yellow dal without ghee and plain rice. The fam loved the Afghan chicken tikka and paneer item they ordered. My dal was made without ghee as requested but was on the spicy side. The fam shared the chocolate cake and rabri desserts but zero vegan/gluten free dessert items. The decor is lovely and everyone was very professional. The meal was very expensive....well over $400 for 1 alcohol drink, 2 mocktails, 3 apps, 3 mains with 2 rice, 2naan and 1 parantha and 2 desserts. Hopefully you get Snow as your server as she was a delight. There was no DJs or live entertainment the night we went but they do have it on certain nights. It got very busy while we were there with folks of all ages. You can bring your own cake but they charge $5pp to serve it.
