Excellent company! from sales (kim), to the owner, to measure day, to install was flawless and easy. They offer windows at 1/4 the price of marvin and pella yet their warranty is way better. Windows look great and I would not hesitate to use this company. in only a few weeks we had the windows fully installed and I was happy with the craftmanship and finish work with the install. Recently replaced several of our slider windows with double hung. Our choice was "top of the line" SoftLite Triple-pane with Low E and argon. We were very pleased with our salesperson and installation crew. Everything was as clean as they found it when they left. Problems arose shortly after installation when we noticed a greenish/blue tint to all windows. It's like looking out the window wearing sunglasses. In addition, some of the windows were difficult to operate. I contacted NJ Siding and Windows who promptly sent someone to inspect the windows. We were told that since the windows were new, they were still getting "broken in" and would function better over time. The tint was explained as being due to ordering the triple pane glass. We were told had we ordered the double pane, it would not have been as noticeable. Disappointed in the view since I have other brand windows in the front of my home with the same features and they don't have this issue. Our recent discovery was not being able to see anything out of the window when looking at an angle while the sun was shining on the screens. That we can remedy by replacing the screens ourselves but shouldn't be necessary on newly installed windows. Service was outstanding but the product has been a huge disappointment. read more

Dan, the salesman, was knowledgeable, friendly, and didn't try to sell me anything I didn't want. The install team showed up when they were supposed to and did a quick, professional job. The salesman came out started to tell us we had problems with out gutters and shingles. All we wanted was siding and an exterior door. The price quotes was ridiculous and when we said we were going to get other prices he told us we would not get the quality that he was offering at any price. It felt like he was shoving his offer down our thoughts. We said we were going to get other prices he left and didn't even leave the quote. Can not recommend this company. read more

Very aggressive sales tactics, and quite frankly, didn't like their approach. If I'm spending tens of thousands of my hard earned dollars, I don't want to be pressured to make a decision right NOW. First, Sales rep came to my house, and was pretty slovenly, TBH. If you're going to be that aggressive, look professional. Second, when he found out my wife wasn't there and wouldn't be for this "estimate", he insisted we reschedule. Wouldn't leave samples, paperwork, or anything. Obvious sign they follow the "lock up the sale NOW" tactic. Lastly, after calling his manager, etc, he comes back and says "about $20-$30K, thanks" (roof, gutters, siding on a cape). And walks away. Just walks away. For a family business, they should really understand that the working family these days doesn't need to be worked at home. Disappointed. read more

My wife and I bought a condo in Rockaway NJ about a year ago. We were very happy with it except for the leaky windows which allowed cold air to blow in so strongly the curtains moved. Also we were not happy with route 80 road noise. I knew we needed the windows replaced. Fortunately I was referred to New Jersey Siding & Windows. Yesterday a crew of 3 men came and replaced 6 windows and a slider. They were quick, clean and friendly. We could not be happier with the work New Jersey Siding & Windows did along with the professionalism and courtesy they displayed and the fair price provided. If you want to represent your company as the most professional and the best out there, then educate your sales reps to approach a customers house with a MASK ON during COVID. If you want to build a relationship with a customer then maybe start with having respectful sales reps. Never in a million years would I have thought that I would have to tell a sales person to leave my house. I had the worst experience with Daniel Raia. He came in and did his measuring then started his sales pitch on how great the company is and how much money they make a year. He told us we have to get a certain window because all of the houses in our complex should all look the same after we said we do not pay association fees. Mentioned how he did 5 houses, then 15 to half of the complex with new windows. (Still not sure how many). We also mentioned how we prefer black windows and he goes "Oh too much HGTV, HGTV windows" & then tells us what color trim we have to do on OUR windows and wrote up the price based on his preference. No discussion about what types of windows were offered "we need to pick the best quality window if you want them black" Therefore - we get the price and told him that we still are waiting on one other proposal. This is where things got ugly - he started interrogating us and spoke very unprofessional about the other company that we were waiting on the estimate from. "They only make this many millions a year, OH GOOD LUCK with them - their manufacturer is not as good as ours, GOOD LUCK." Mentioned how the windows won't even last for 5 years and how he's seen it ALL because he has been in the industry for over 20 years. "He knows what guys are out there". Then proceeds to take our a top 500 book and mentions how they are number 247 in the book. After him picking fights/NOT educating us on the windows NJ siding and windows offers- I had enough and politely asked him to leave. He said "I'm just trying to sell you my business" I said if you have been in the business for over 20 years you would be personable and professional. You did not sell your business to me. I wish I had read Marc K's review before contacting this company for an estimate. I had a very similar experience today. I'm not the kind of person to bother with posting reviews, but my interaction with their salesman, Dan, was so unpleasant that I feel compelled to warn others. I could have overlooked the slimy salesman vibe and his string of chauvinistic comments, but the unrelenting pushiness to immediately close the sale got a bit out of control. I had to actually stop him from talking at one point to let him know that I was beginning to get uncomfortable with his sales method. This only escalated how aggressively he persisted in trying to convince me to sign. He actually became condescending and even disrespectful in his tone with both me and my wife. We basically had to shut him down by making it clear that we'd be taking our business elsewhere. It was truly absurd. I honestly can't comment on the quality of their work, but I can say without hesitation that this was the worst sales or customer service experience I've ever had. read more

Please please please do not give these sleaze balls your money. I can't believe people fall for the aggressive sales tactics this company uses. We are looking to replace our deck. The salesperson started by saying that his company is the best and that if we use anyone else we will have replace our deck in 5 years. I guess I am supposed to be scared now. He also said that his company does 5 million in business to try and prove that they do quality work. Unlike other estimates he did not show us any pictures of the actual work they have done nor did he offer references. The first quote he gave us was 3 times more than any other estimate. Then he started crossing out numbers and now the price was 6k less. Then he asked us what we thought, I told him we would think about it. Then he took off another 4K and asked me what he could do to win our business. I told him he could stop with the pressure. He then dropped the price another 3k but finally got the hint that we wanted him to leave. On the way out I asked to leave the quote he said no. Estimates we received from other companies were super detailed and itemized the quote. He just gave us numbers and refused to leave the numbers with us. Excellent company from beginning to the end. I set up an appointment with three companies for estimates. By far they were the nicest people to work with. Very reasonable and works out a payment plan with you. There was the initial consultation and measurement and then the second measurement. Today the windows and doors were installed. Very prompt and efficient. The job was done in five hours. Very clean . All material carted away. I wish I ordered more windows then I did. they really make the house look nice. While I'm sure their work is great, their owner has exhibited to me probably the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Right from the start, when I called up to see about getting a custom-sized storm door, he immediately started up-selling me on replacing our whole entry door. When the salesman came out to our house, both my wife & I felt he pressured us into signing up to buy, not allowing us to shop around at all. And when we did sign, we decided to cancel three days later (within our allowed time frame), when I called, I told the customer service person who answered the phone my intentions, was put on hold, the call was picked up by someone else who I again had to tell I was calling to cancel, was told to hold while she went to retrieve my file, then the owner once again picked up and once again I had to recite my intentions. At which point I was told that the company that we decided to go with (for less that can also have it done sooner) was lying to me. By this point, my patience was shot, so I explained to him that this was our decision and that was that. He then proceeded to call my wife and gave her an earful on why the contractor we decided to go with was no good. I haven't had any work done by this company & while I'm sure they do fine work, I would never go back to this company for anything. Beware...the owner is a jerk! read more

I agree with the other posts. My recent sales call was so strange and disturbing that I felt compelled to share. The salesman arrived on time and I immediately got a strange vibe from him. We walked around the exterior of my house and I explained that I was looking for a quote on new vinyl siding, replacement vinyl windows, and an asphalt roof. He then insisted I provide how much I was looking to spend. I went into more specifics about the grade of the materials I was thinking about and advised him that I'd received quotes from two other contractors and the approximate estimated cost (both quotes were in the same ballpark). This is where the conversation got really strange. The salesman got very defensive and kept repeating that they are a very high-end company and his price would be more than double the price of the previous quotes. He said he didn't even want to waste his time taking the measurements. I said I was disappointed to hear that and he started going on about their company's annual sales and repeating how they are high-end. He explained that people routinely pay more for their installation and began telling me that they are booked for the next 10 weeks. He then went to his bag and started showing me recent sales he had made and how much he charged....a new front door in Montville, siding in Randolph, etc. He was showing me pictures on his phone too. The whole situation was awkward and I almost felt embarrassed for him...is that a sales tactic? Anyhow, I couldn't get this guy off my property quickly enough. One thing I did learn was that they subcontract out the roofing component to a third party, but do the siding and windows with their own labor. read more

I have to say, I commend them for their service. With the heavy rain on Friday, we had some water come in to our basement through the window. I called them to see when a tech could stop by and check it out and they came within a half an hour and repaired the area above the window. Thank you very much for your help! I absolutely loved the staff and owner of nj siding and windows. We had a great design crew that gave us their opinion on stone decorative stone work we were doing on our front door and loved their input and there was no pressure to take their advise. The work was done on time and everything the boss was at the job site to discuss progress. Workers cleaned up after themselves every day and were very friendly. I knew pretty much what I wanted before the salesman arrived for a quote, and I had gotten 3 quotes from other companies, so I had a budget in mind. The salesman walked around and gave me a good competitive quote, and showed me places where I could improve the boxy look of the house with keystone type window trim and a great trim with dentil molding around the front door. All this for less than the others. They were very professional. It's been three years and it looks as good as day one. My son accidentally hit the garage frame, cracking the siding. I called and NJ Siding and Windows came out and repaired it within a week. Great service. read more

They are waste of time. I contacted them for LP Smartside siding and windows replacement and made an appointment. First, a salesperson, Dan, showed up, on time, and took gross measurements of my house but never provided me with an estimate. Instead, he wanted that he should come and meet with me along with the "owner". We made an appointment. They changed it once which was okay by me since they did request the change in advance. Someone from their office checked by phone to confirm numerous times and also via email to verify the appointment time but showed up nearly an hour late without bothering to let me know. No apologies but instead "this is NJ, it happens" defense. Then, turns out the "owner" had no idea what the product is and started to make up some BS about how it is made, etc. When I asked him about the warranty, he stated it is 50 years warranty. When I challenged him about what 5/50 means, he stumbled again. I have explicitly asked him what happens if the product fails in year 49. His answer was "LP will replace it at no cost to you". When I reminded him about the prorated material only warranty, he got upset with me. Asked me if I was testing him which I said yes and he failed by misrepresenting the facts or not knowing his facts for the product he came to sell. He said there is nothing he can do and I am not his kind of customer. I asked them to leave my house since he became loud and rude. They are the only company in NJ installs LP siding. Because they are as dishonest or inept as it comes representing LP products, LP lost one customer in NJ who happens to share his experience with greater audiences via internet. If you are the kind of homeowner who would like to know and work with a company who knows their stuff, prompt with their appointments and don't lie to your face assuming that you are a stupid homeowner, go somewhere else. People working for this company might not be just like the "owner" Neil, but they chose to work for a person who is either dishonest and unprofessional or inept or both. We used NJ Siding and Windows a couple of years ago to replace all the windows in our house. We were so happy with the work that we are having them back to replace the front door. With the windows, we were very happy with the sales, service, and the work and cleanup by the installation team. The windows are updated replacements of the style of window that we inherited when we bought the house. But the quality of the windows has transformed the look of the outside of our house. I very rarely leave bad reviews for any businesses but I could not help myself with this one. I recently purchased a home and I am in the renovation phase. I decided to replace the majority of the windows in the home and gave New Jersey Siding & Windows a call for an estimate. Now, let me get something straight before I go off on my rant. Their product seems very good and their price wasn't bad, but I will not be doing business with them strictly because of their disrespectful, arrogant salesman. I honestly had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn't in some sort of a bad dream. If you check the other reviews you will see other people complain about the identical "sales pitches" that I received. He told me I HAVE to put their "softlite" windows in my house because everyone else in the town has them. If I put anything else I would be looked down upon by other residents. He told me to go buy windows from another place and when they all "fall out" of my house in 5 years to call him back. I asked him to email me a quote so I can compare to my other quotes and go from there. He said "What do you need to compare for? We're the best! We do over 5 Million dollars in revenue a year, top 50 in the country for window sales, leader in North Jersey, etc." He said, "We don't email quotes. If you like the price, do it, can you not remember numbers?!?!" I started to play his game back and after it escalated it just turned into a big joke. I asked him if he can ever leave an estimate without closing? He said "It has nothing to do with closing! I've been doing this 21 years and I make a very good living, I don't need your business! Go to Home Depot." I hope others don't fall for this guy's sales tactics. It's a real shame that people are out there treating people like this. It was totally unnecessary. All these Yelp reports ring eerily true. Same man named came to my home too. He talked loudly, right over absolutely everything I tried to say (even small talk) right from Hello. He quickly began to pressure the sale with sleazy tactics. I continued to graciously thank him and explain that I would need some time think about my decision, but he wouldn't stop. I don't know if he didn't understand normal social cues or if he simply didn't care, but I finally had to verbally tell him he was making me feel uncomfortable. Had this company install new vinyl siding last winter. They did a spot on job. I, like most homeowners was apprehensive of the outcome before we even got started. Paul made me feel right at home. He was kind and trustworthy. He gave us a few options and we picked the vinyl with the foam that fit behind the panels. They did such a nice job. Cleaned up every day and by day three my house was almost finished. What a difference the look was from our old vinyl siding that came with a house. Our 1950's house is noticeably tighter then it was before. Has good bones but never kept our energy bills low. Now we are using less gas then before. the replacement wndows are not well sealed and allow cold air in the house. the house is cooler than what it was with the old windows. the screens are difficult to remove and reinstall, are not made well, not painted well with a metal color seen through the paint and look very cheep. the workers vere very good but could not compensate for the bad quality of windows and screens. the owner is very rude and not used to communicate with a modern professional woman, ordering me around and threatened to show up at my house to collect the balance payment. the appointment to install the windows was on monday b/w 8:30-9am. when nobody showed up i called the company and was told that they first needed to install the door in location an hour away from my house and would come to my house at noon instead at 9 am. i told that i will have to leave at 4:30 to bring my son to school. the installers came at 1:30 pm amd left at 4:30 pm. they said that they will not come next day because they have an other job and could not delay it as they delayed job in my house. basically they said my installation of windows was not as important and valuable as installation nex day. than they said they will come on saturday, changed to sunday. nobody came untill 2 weeks later on saturday. i complained about poor quality of screen without any results. since the beginning this company did not look as reputable : the representative came to the house, showed the windows and said that each window cost $900 and charged me $10,000.00 for 10 windows [???] and not $9,000.00. than i had to waiste three days of my time since the company did not come on the scheduled day - monday and rescheduled 3 more times and i had to take time off each time before finaly the windows were installed. in the past i used anderson replacement windows and what a difference in reliability, punctuality, quality and services- i should have used anderson replacement windows again instead of nj windows and sidings! 3 days of waisted time waiting for nj sidings and windows to do installation caused me to change and cancelled my plans and caused me financial losses. nj siding and windows is liable for compensating customers for waisting our time. bad service, bad product, bad pr with an owner screaming as the extinct dinosaur. i am sorry i contracted them and do not recommend nj windows and sidings. rating is minus 1. read more

NJ Siding & Windows is a top notch company! Oftentimes, when you hire a contractor and the work is completed you might feel they did a great job, but there's always one or two small items that could have been done better. Not true with NJ Windows & Siding. I am absolutely ecstatic about the the work they recently completely at our house. The roof, the Everlast siding, the PVC trim, the shutters, the gutters; all were done perfectly. Since they finished I have received several compliments on how the house looks. The effort started with Dan, the salesman. He was knowledgeable in the products being offered and made an effort to arrange meetings with Mickey, the owner, and the various people that would be doing the work so that all my questions would be discussed and answered. Carl and Al did the roofing and did a beautiful job installing the roof and eave vents as well as the new shingles. Freddie and Caesar are experts in installing the Everlast resin composit siding. I am totally impressed in the quality of their work. They also installed new shutters and overhead window trim. The PVS trim they placed around the windows and frieze boards looks great. Finally, the gutter team did a superb job in installing all new gutters and downspouts as well as steel gutter guards that beautifully compliment the rest of the trim. I am so pleased with the whole job, and now the outside of the house is 100% maintenance free. People walking by think that new wood was installed it looks so nice. We recently replaced some windows in our house and had chosen this company after getting three other estimates. We were looking for a quality product, not the cheapest but not the most expensive either. We were truly looking for "Value".My Wife and I have the understanding that this is an expensive investment, however we felt that the money we would save in heating, as well as the return we would get with re-sale value would be well worth choosing a more premium product. The salesman was very knowledgeable of other products out there and the technologies in comparison to the product that they were offering. They were not the cheapest option, however we were not looking for cheap. I am a firm believer in "you get what you pay for" and we opted again for value based on the technology offered in the product and the price in comparison with similar products on the market. I was very happy with the communication from start to finish and the installers were very professional and concerned with maintaining the aesthetics of the house and were very respectful during installation. They would wipe their feet and leave our home clean as they came and went. Additionally, I felt safe with the installers being in my home. Sometimes, you don't exactly get a group of installers that you feel safe having at your home when you are not there. My wife is at home with the kids all day,so that is important. Another reason I chose this company was based on the experience of the Management, I am not sure which one was the owner, but Neil and Jim both had a long history of installing windows and they really knew their product and that made me confident that the product was going to be installed properly, which I feel is just as important as the product itself. You can have the best product in the world, however if it is not installed properly, it's worthless. I would definitely use them again. read more
