He also asked a lot of questions about me and my fiancé so that he could get to know us and the style of pictures we wanted, and we were able to come up with a package that was within my budget. Bob was great! My fiancé and I are both really busy so he agreed to meet with us on a Sunday. It was a brutal summer day so my fiancé and I were pretty exhausted after a while but Bob kept asking for more poses/shots, which was great because we had a lot to choose from in the end (thanks !!). Bob was extremely professional, giving us a lot of direction/pointers, and made sure we had time to take shots at our requested locations. Bob is a firm believer that your shots are yours, and a few weeks after the session Bob had created a website with all of our shots and soon after I received a CD in the mail. When we got our photos a month and a half later, we were somewhat disappointed. There didn't seem to be a lot of great photos. Lots were dark; many were out of focus or mis-focused, and lots of key moments seemed to be captured at awkward angles--perhaps too much effort was placed on being inconspicuous. We didn't really get the sense that a lot of time was spent post-processing them, either. (We realized later that most of our favorite photos from their portfolio were on very bright days in all-white houses and professionally-lit reception halls. We wrongly assumed the beauty was captured via their execution.) I wouldn't say they were "bad," just underwhelming relative to even our tempered expectations. The most disappointing part came at the end. We tried hard to express our disappointment diplomatically. We asked the lead photographer to point out some of the photos he put extra work into so we could appreciate them or compare them to the raw photos, and we asked for some of the photos they had removed (due to focus issues, etc.) so we could maybe salvage parts of them ourselves if they captured a moment we wanted but missed. His responses were very defensive and unproductive. He said he spent lots of time on them, he insisted we were sent great photos, and that we don't understand working with a videographer and how that limited the angles they could get. We attempted to deescalate by clarifying that we were just trying to get the most out of the day without imposing more time on him, not to criticize or complain, but it was fruitless. He said he selected the best photos and only removed bad photos, then later contradicted that he had sent us all the photos when we requested the "bad" ones. In the end, he returned our tip (which we didn't want or ask him to do), and stopped responding to us without providing any of the material we requested. I get that asking to "show your work" can be insulting to a professional, but his response when we were just trying to make the most of the situation was anything but professional. I'm sure there are plenty of Bride- and Groom-zillas who will be much less understanding than we, and while the photos were a little disappointing, the final taste in our mouths gives me more reason to advise caution.

Very mixed feelings about our experience with LPS…read more Our wedding was in April of 2019 and LPS did both our photos and video. To state the positive, yes, LPS produces beautiful work with amazing quality. We recognize and acknowledge that the photos and videos are top-notch among others in this industry. In the end, we are very happy with the final deliverables. We received the last of of all deliverables (the hard drive containing all video footage) yesterday (10/9/2019), which is almost six full months after the wedding. However, regardless of the fact that it took almost half a year to receive photos and video of our wedding, this wasn't the biggest source of our frustration. The frustration mainly lived in the near total lack of communication from LPS. We understand that LPS is a large company that handles many, many clients at the same time. We also understand the painstaking process of photo/video editing. What we don't understand is LPS' failure to provide timely updates on where we are in the entire process. We feel that the very least LPS could've done was to provide monthly updates on how they were progressing with the final assets. The contract explicitly stated that certain assets would be delivered after a certain time period (i.e. 6 weeks after wedding, 10 weeks after wedding, etc). However, LPS failed to reach out during the days leading up to the final due date, to give us an update or confirmation on process. We were always the ones who had to reach out first to ask if we would receive our items on time. Therefore, we ended up always feeling left in the dark, wondering what was going on and chasing after something that couldn't be reached. Let's face it. LPS is not cheap. The prices are expected given the nature of their high quality. However, we started to question if it was really worth it (we paid nearly $8k)--to go through the long wait in radio silence & total darkness. My fiance hired him for a surprise proposal for me. While I really appreciate what my fiance did for me, this proposal's quality was pretty poor. Not so much in the execution. But mostly the professionalism of the photographer. While we were taking our proposal photos, he refused to listen to me when I said I didn't like one side of my face and strong armed us into taking photos his way. This made me not like the majority of photos. When we got the finished photos back, my skin was completely orange in most of them. While we had 55 photos, a big chunk of them needed severe editing. We only had maybe 3-5 usable photos. The photos we had taken by ourselves on an iPhone with strangers turned out to be better than the "professional" ones he took. To make matters worse, he repeatedly posted unflattering photos of us on his Instagram page even when we asked for them to be taken down. Most photographers will often post photos like this for their gallery, however they do give customer the discretion of choosing which photos look best. We had also asked for Vlad to edit these photos. However, he could not see what was actually wrong with them. He started to answer all my questions immediately. I did contact one other photographer and didn't get any response. I felt very confident in using Boudoir NY for my photo session based on the work posted on website, reviews and after speaking to David. The session was booked and throughout the few weeks prior to my photo shoot I received emails, text's and phone calls from David giving me advice on what to wear, eat & directions to studio. I was so excited for my Boudoir photo session I could hardly keep it a secret from my boyfriend to whom was going to be receiving the album for a Christmas present.. The day of my photo shoot I received an email from David making sure I had the right directions as well confirming the time of the shoot. I arrived early and David accommodated me by having photo albums available to review. I thought what a great way to get comfortable & as well it gave me an idea to what was to come. I had chosen to have my hair & make up done & David's makeup artist Candace arrived to start the process of making me feel like a movie star. While I was getting beautified, David stepped out to purchase fresh strawberries & champagne. It was great to have this time to sit back and relax while getting my hair & makeup done. After completion of my hair & makeup it was now time to get my photos taken. This was no easy task for David due to the fact that I'm not the most photogenic person, but with no surprise David made it so easy and I felt so sexy. The photo shoot lasted 5 hours and I can say that although it was a blast, I will not be making any career changes to be a model.
