I had no choice but to choose 1 star. Really they deserve zero stars. I think they have a way of knowing your telephone number so that they don't have to answer it. I've been on hold for 5 hours now just waiting form them to answer. If you are researching for a company to cover your appliances after the manufacturer warranty has expired, I urge you not to consider New Leaf Service Contracts. They could care less about you and your problem. I have reached out to the BBB to get things on the record. I have never been treated with such disregard. My sentiments are pretty much the same as what you see in these reviews. They actually gave me a company to call and the company doesn't even repair appliances. Save yourself some time and energy. Buyer Beware: New Leaf is charging me $271 for a service they say is not covered. If I don't pay, they won't honor my policy. --------- Over the last three years,I've have purchased from Drimmers NJ three service contracts from New Leaf on a washing machine, a clothes dryer and dishwasher. I never received a detailed overview of the New Leaf 5 year insurance policies. In August 2020, less than two years from the purchase, my clothes dryer stopped working. After many hours on the phone with New Leaf and canceled appointments over several weeks, their technician came to my home and told me that the drain hose was clogged and needed to cleaned out. I told him that I regularly clean the lint according to Bosch's directions. He said that wouldn't make a difference. I asked him to show me how to clean the drain hose. He said I couldn't do it and in any case, it is covered by my insurance. Several months later New Leaf sent me a bill for $271 saying that cleaning the drain hose was not covered under my policy. When I called the claims department, they said they would not send this bill to is a collection agency. But unless I paid, they would not fix the appliance if it stopped working again. The claim manager said that I needed to hire a professional person to do preventative maintenance on my dryer a few times a year. Yikes. That would cost over $500 a year. Since I never got a copy of an insurance policy even when I asked for a copy, New Leaf could tell me anything. To his credit the claims manager was willing to negotiate the bill, but still it's a significant amount. Given my experience, I'd be very cautious about doing business with New Leaf. read more

I have a three year warranty on my stove and it stopped working. I filed a service claim online and nobody contacted me after a week. When I called New Leaf, I had to wait an hour on hold before getting a rep. They give you the option to press "1" to leave a message but when you do that, you get a "your call cannot be completed as dialed". They also encourage you to submit your claim online, ridiculously, because they don't ever contact you if you do that. The Service Rep I finally got in touch with sent my service request to a local company, who also after 5 days did not contact me. I tried calling them and can only get a weird voicemail line. After a week and a half, still no contact from them. Now I am back on hold calling, after three weeks and no resolution, and no stove. If you're considering a New Leaf service plan, I would warn you against it. It's pretty much a scam that wastes a ton of time by leading you on a wild goose change. This company is a hoax. I have a Bosch dishwasher and an open claim for 5 months. Every time I call I am on hold for an average of 70 minutes before speaking to someone. Several times, I have been on hold for so long that I had to hang up before getting through to a person because I needed to go somewhere. I am convinced that they make it as difficult as they can to get through and are banking that most people give up and just buy a new device. I get the run around and they ultimately pus it back on my to find a service person locally. I have not been able to locate anyone and am sick of the lack of respect for my time and efforts. i have asked them to make it right but them seem more than content to continue dragging time along. If the service company can't find a person to get here then how do they expect me to? I plan to lodge a formal complaint and paper the internet with reviews wherever I can put them. They continue to send different repair companies to look at it and these repair men only continue to order more "parts". They will not deem the appliance un- repairable until "the part comes in and we get it installed". All they do is have customer service give me the run around. This is unacceptable business practice! Issue me a reimbursement on my refrigerator that is only 14 months old! Replace it with the same model! Do something that will be helpful! I purchased a 5yr. extended warranty on an LG washer in May of 2016, a few weeks before the LG 1-year warranty expired. I was under the assumption that the warranty would commence on the date I purchased it and run through May 2021. I filed a request for service & was told that my warranty had expired, as it was effective from the date of purchase. I check the small print in my warranty and found this to be true. I was mislead upon purchasing the warranty, as I would not have paid for a year that had almost already passed. The entire transaction took around two weeks to resolve & I had to fill out an application, send paperwork twice, call the company, etc. All for nothing. I strongly feel that I was misled regarding the time frame and am very unhappy about the way New Leaf Handled my warranty. This is a TERRIBLE service. I would NOT recommend them at all. I purchased a Dishwasher and had problems with the wash so of course I contacted the warranty company which I had purchased for $100. Apparently After being here for 5 min. the repair person put the washer on and left it running but did nothing. I received an email from New Leaf saying I OWED THEM MONEY!!! because there was no mechanical malfunction. The email claimed the repair man was here and ran 3 wash cycles which was a lie. When I called New Leaf they said the repair person said he was here and why should they believe me? I spoke to a supervisor who was very rude and did not want me to talk. Why do I owe them money? I have repeatedly tried to contact this business in reference to our computer. We sent it off to be fixed per their requirement under our service contract. The business we shipped it to has it diagnosed but have been waiting on approval since September 2020. Mind you, we shipped it off in June 2020. It is now November 2020. We have not gotten a response to emails or phone calls. Even during COVID this is unacceptable. I just called the company that was supposed to repair it to tell them to ship it back. Our computer will not be fixed when it returns and we have been without it since May 2020 when it malfunctioned. The service contract I paid for has done me 0 good. I will never purchase anything from Adorama nor any servicing contracts from New Leaf ever again. Wasted money. Wasted time. I have file a BBB report on them. read more

On November 16, 2020 my wife and I purchased a three (3) year New Leaf Service Pro Service Agreement for the induction range that we purchased through A.J. Madison appliance retailer. In January 2022 the range stopped working completely. A few weeks later New Leaf eventually sent a repair person to inspect the range. They then ordered a replacement part. Several weeks later the part was delivered and the repair person returned to install the replacement part. It turned out that the replacement part was defective. A second (2nd) replacement part was ordered and another several weeks later it was installed; that 2nd part was defective as well. Another several weeks later another, third (3rd) replacement part was ordered and then installed. That 3rd part was defective as well. On that day the repair person contacted the manufacturer by phone and they both determined that the range was not able to be fixed and that it was irreparably broken. That was May 4, 2022. It took several months of receiving defective parts and the range was just as completely broken as the day of the first visit by New Leaf's repair person. At the request of New Leaf all defective replacement parts that were delivered for installation were returned to them in the mail. From May 4, 2022 until today, four months later, New Leaf has taken no action to correct this problem. My wife and I have been unable to use our induction range since January, more than six (6) months. Cooking with only a tiny toaster oven for months is an unbearable and unacceptable inconvenience, and New Leaf has made no effort to resolve this problem. When I have tried to address this issue by calling New Leaf on the phone, New Leaf representatives multiple times have hung up on me, refusing to discuss this problem and New Leaf's failure to resolve the situation. This has been an incredible inconvenience to my wife and I for quite a long time now. Without resolution, A.J. Madison, the original appliance retailer, as well as other retailers that use New Leaf for warranty coverage (e.g.,, Ferguson, Ashley Furniture, etc.) will need public reviews of their performance as retailers (BBB, Google Reviews, Facebook, etc.) specifically as it relates to their choice of New Leaf as their partner and service provider. Had I known this would have been the performance of New Leaf I would have definitely reconsidered who I bought the range from, and preferred an appliance retailer who did not use New Leaf for warranty coverage. read more

I purchased a whole kitchen suite of high end professional appliances from a local vendor. They recommend purchasing extended warranties to be on the safe side. I purchased 5year extended warranties on each appliance to the sum of $1900. My microwave has a broken handle after 18 months. I sent a request for service to New Leaf Service company and they promptly refused coverage. A handle is apparently not a functional part of the appliance. I received a copy of the contracts and I'm appalled that it was even recommended that this be a purchase to protect me as it covers NOTHING that would break under normal usage. Shame on New Leaf Service company for taking advantage of this type of purchase; it's criminal in my opinion. I have about 29 pages of explanation of what it doesn't cover for each appliance and perhaps one page of actual coverage! A complete consumer rip off! I did, however, get relief from the wonderful people at Howard's Appliances who actually care about customer service! Howard's is replacing the microwave at no charge. Horrible customer service. You keep getting the run around from customer service. I've been on the phone with them for over 2 weeks and still no resolution to my malfunctioning dehumidifier. Today I was told they were going to send me a check for $225 less than I should receive because they had set up a service call. The service company never showed up, never looked at my unit and insulted me by saying I should take a cough drop for my asthma. It has now been almost a month since my dehumidifier stopped working. My asthma has worsened, my mold remediation 5 year warranty is now voided due to humidity in the basement and I am no closer to getting a resolution. Update 5/30/20. I got a new fridge! And did NOT purchase an extended warranty from New Leaf. Why? Let me explain. After getting all the run around from New Leaf, I took matters into my own hands and emailed the CEO, and VP's. While they continued to deny my claim for a payout, it got their attention and they assigned my case to Mr. Sameer Mohsin, Director of Service & Claims. Let me tell you that Sameer is the ONLY decent guy who works at the company. While he did reiterate the same things New Leaf was saying, he was transparent and gave me his direct email AND phone number to keep in contact with. As expected the repair the New Leaf did authorize through Samsung, lasted only 2 months and the fridge failed again, with the same problem. I contacted Sameer and at that point he somehow found a way to pin the blame on Samsung. I don't know how he and New Leaf did it, but I don't care. Sameer forwarded me over a reimbursement form from Samsung, helped me fill it out and submitted it on my behalf. I was skeptical and worried that Samsung would reject it, but about 2.5 weeks later, I received a check, for the full amount I paid, directly from Samsung (NOT New Leaf). For that, I am upgrading my review to two stars. I still would not recommend New Leaf, because honestly, over the last 2 years, I've spent at least 50+ hours dealing with taking time off of work, filing claims and talking on the phone and dealing with New Leaf and the multiple repairs for my refrigerator. It was a nightmare and a headache. Again, I do want to point out that Mr. Sameer Moshin is a decent, honest, and reliable person. In my experience with New Leaf, he is the only one you can trust. If he was in charge, the company would have a great reputation. Hopefully if you're reading this, you'll be fortunate enough to be working with Sameer. When I bought New Leaf 5 year service contracts, I was sold on the 50% refund if there's no claim on the contract. Well 5 years later I found out there are many cumbersome conditions. You're supposed to submit the exact coupon they sent 5 years ago (photo copy not acceptable) and refund request is only allowable 30 days after the contract expire. When I sent them in, the envelope came back "Return to Sender/Unable to Forward" so there's something wrong with the address provided on the coupon ! New Leaf makes things as difficult as possible ! PS I also found out on another New Leaf service contract that if your appliance doesn't exhibit the problem during the service visit, New Leaf would make you pay for the service call. I purchased a washer and dryer commercial from a local vendor in San Diego California. They sold us a new leaf extended warranty the commercial warrantee for the speed Queen should've still been good from the manufacturer but they are the invisible man and did not reply to any voicemails and we left more than 20. For three months we got kicked around with new leaf saying there was nothing wrong with their equipment. Finally the company that we bought them from got involved and we got a little action. They been avoiding us they will not fix the washers and dryers and I'm left with nothing after spending $10,000 for commercial washers and dryers. They do not return calls they cannot get parts even the actual appliance company that does the work for new leaf has been an advocate. This is a complete fraudulent company. I am sending them notice today along with the consumer affairs division in California and I will be suing them in a big court. I've had labor costs laundromat costs so I'm way over $20,000 now. I bought the same thing on Amazon for about the same price actually a little cheaper those are coming they have tormented my staff and I it was never worth it. By the way we have a gym with over 1100 members a day visiting it this cleaning of the towels is a big deal. Bought an LG Top Load Washing Machine in 2018 and the seller talked me into an extended warranty with New Leaf. Oct 2020 the machine started making loud noises in the spin cycle. Contacted New Leaf and after many hours on hold I was instructed to file a claim on line, which I did. After a week, I received an email stating LG Electronics would send repair and if don't hear from them in a day, call them. Heard nothing so after day 1 I contacted LG. They said I need a reference number from New Leaf to even research the repair. Now on day 8 of calling and on hold for hours and voice mails that never get responded to and dozens of mails with no reply. When I do get through to someone at NewLeaf, they just start transferring me to someone else who after hours on hold just transfer you back to the beginning. It appears, like so many others have reviewed, that New Leaf is just a scam company. They are terrible. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY EXTENDED WARRANTY CLAIMS!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I have been waiting over 4 months for a new part for our ice maker. They never provided me with any updates. I had to call every 2 weeks for an update and all they would tell me is it is on backorder, we don't have any further update, there is nothing else we can do and to call back in a couple of weeks. After 2 months I asked if they could try another parts distributor. They said if they can't get it in another 2 weeks they will try. I called back 4 weeks later at 3 months asking for a solution and if they tried other parts distributor and they said they needed to wait for another update from the current before moving forward with other options. At month 4 I finally was able to convince someone to try ordering from another distributor and they were able to get the part the next day. It does not end there. They were supposed to call me with a tracking number so I could coordinate the technician to install, that they make you call and schedule who is also backed up 2 weeks. They did not call me with a tracking number and the part showed up so I called to schedule the technician only to find out that they will not install the part without an order number and I have to call New Leaf and get it because they wont give it to them. I have now been sitting on hold for a combination of over 20 minutes today waiting for an order number that should have already been provided . I am not sure how the local appliance companies can use New Leaf. They are horrible and painful to deal with and I would not recommend. read more

Absolutely, without question, the worst warranty company on the planet. Purchased this warranty for a wine refrigerator. Within warranty period filed a claim for the fridge not cooling. 2+ months of back and forth and "appointment making" and "part ordering" even though the part was discontinued, we were eventually informed in the very end of the 2 months that we would only be refunded our contract amount in 4-6 weeks. Other emails from New Leaf tell you that the options are repair, replace, or refund contract. Zero actual attempt was made to replace the wine refrigerator as now the replacement is over $1,000 to me. This company is borderline fraudulent at best and I would unequivically recommend that no-one ever purchases a contract from this company again. Take this advice and save yourself weeks and months of hassle. New Leaf is absolutely not worth your hard earned money, and most importantly the representatives do not care about solving your service request. read more

I am surprised at the other reviews; it just wasn't my experience. My expensive air conditioner failed far too soon. To be honest, my first experiences with New Leaf were frustrating. Enter Diana DeLoen, who is a Customer Experience Manager. She was amazing, efficient, she took ownership of the matter, and she stayed on top of things. Through her, New Leaf went above and beyond to provide a solution. My experience: New Leaf's customer service was, in the end, customer service as we seldom see it in this day and age - kind, courteous, solution oriented, and customer advocating. Promised actions were always taken by Ms. DeLeon. I have the written promise of a replacment unit as soon as it is available (confirmed b the manufacturer) or a cash buy out that is fair, should the unit not be produced in the specified time. Thank you New Leaf for the promised and agreed upon solution, and thank you for your outstanding employee and outstanding customer service through Ms. DeLeon. read more

Do not waste your money. I have an LG refrigerator and the compressor failed after two years. Contacted New Leaf and never received a reply after submitting a claim online. Contacted them again about the water dispenser with no acknowledgement or reply. LG has no service contractors in Western NY upstate the one that was "close" was and hour and half away and wouldn't return my calls (of course). These appliance companies sell these New Leaf contracts that are not only worthless, but in my opinion a fraud and they take no responsibility for it and neither does New Leaf. read more

they get a 1 only because i can't give zero! we bought a viking dishwasher, spent WAY too much for it, but always felt the company was great(viking). since that purchase, we have found the company was sold a few times, & they were using this new service company. we are on our 2nd. the 1st lasted about 2-3 years & the top rack rotted away. they didn't have new racks that fit, so they gave us a new dishwasher. all good. the 2nd dishwasher lasted about as long as the 1st. it started rotting on both racks. i called the company. i was told our service was only for service, not replacement? i was advised that we would have to pay for new racks. yeah, no. so our dishwasher now needs to be filled a certain way so that all will fit & stay upright. i started smelling something burning, like melted plastic several months back. sometimes it was just a whiff, sometimes had me looking around. eventually i turned it off & unplugged it during a wash cycle. the smell was horrid & terrifying! i called the appliance company & they sent a tech out. it still smelled when he took off the front panel. he showed me. it was totally melted, burnt, black. all the plastic & wiring. well, if it's that bad there, where else in the machine has it burned & melted? i mean, had i not been home, my house could've gone up in flames, for pete's sake!!! he tells me he wouldn't recommend just replacing the door. he said i now had to go to new leaf. well, if you read any of the other reviews, you know what i'm gonna say! i started calling them on 3-4. it is now 3-31. i have talked to so many people there, as well as, supposedly, different departments. john, stephanie, abel, jasmine, thomas, diana. the tech department, the preapproval department. will call me back, call back in 2 days, call back tomorrow, call back next week. all they want to do is just replace the inside of the door, nothing else. i am at a loss for words. again, had i been out, or, had we been asleep..... i think partly they don't want to help me because my service warranty expired during all of this. I am a professional photographer. I purchased a new leaf warranty to protect at $1600 lens. The lens stopped working it looked like a loose screw. I took it to my local camera repair shop to see if that can fix it. It seemed like a quick fix. When you send a lens in for a warranty to look over it it takes 2-3 months before you get it back. This requires the photographer to pay for a lens rental during this time. So it made more since to see if the local camera shop could fix it before I send it in. The local camera shop said it needed to be sent into nikon or a better repair company. I called new leaf to ask what my options were to have my lens fixed under the warranty that I had paid for they said the warranty is void because I took it somewhere else first. Apparently the fine print states that if you take it somewhere first the warranty will not be valid. I had to purchase a new lens and am out $1600. The customer service was not good. I would be on hold for quite a while then they would hang up on me and I would have to start all over again. Thought id share my story in hopes it saves another photographer the frustration I went through. read more

Do not purchase an extended warranty through this company. They will never make good on your warranty. They find every reason why the issue will not be covered and are extremely rude on the phone. Terrible service company- DON't never buy their warranty is a total. Here is my experience when I bout their warranty thru BBQGuys. A company should be measured not only for their capacity in Quality Product but also in customer services. I purchased a Blaze Grill from BBQGuys. The Grill arrived perfect and on time. We installed the product and worked as expected. I noticed some issues and contacted BBQGuys Customer services and they always responded immediately. After a 11 months I had some trouble with some parts and with the warranty (BBqGuys offers New Leaf as a Service Provider in their web site - DO NOT BUY THIS Warranty) During more than 5 month I tried to get this matter resolved; I must said that although New Leaf Service never provided the service and warranty as they are expected the BBQGuys Customer Services people were always trying to get this matter resolved. Since New Leaf Service Contracts never responded, a Customer Services Advocated manager from BBQGuys was Assigned to me - Paul Davis - He was always patient and responsive, he led the process until its full resolution. I am very happy with my grill. Without a doubt I will buy and recommend it to purchase from BBQGuys....Just avoid purchasing the warranty option. Get your warranty from someone else. I wish if BBQGuy could offer their OWN warranty it would be a SIX start company. read more
