This is the worst company on planet earth. Do not be deceived by their replies. They take your money and provide no service. My issue was with a three year old Kitchen Aid refrigerator. It stopped cooling. It takes on average 3 weeks to get an appointment. So be prepared to be without a refrigerator for 3 weeks, but it get better from there. They subcontracted the repair to a company called A&E, who was just as bad. The first time they misdiagnosed the problem. The repair lasted 2 weeks and the refrigerator stopped cooling again. I waited another 3 weeks for another appointment. This time they ordered approximately $1,000 worth of parts which were quickly delivered. Another 3 weeks, and an A&E technician came. He looked at the refrigerator and said I don't know why they ordered these parts, as your refrigerator is "not repairable". He took the parts and left, without leaving me any proof of his diagnosis of "not repairable". New Leaf, refused to replace the refrigerator, per the contract, as they said A&E left no proof that the refrigerator was not repairable. Now New Leaf decides to make an appointment for me with a Whirlpool technician. I wait another three weeks, and they never show up, after I take the day from work and wait home all day. I call New Leaf to tell them no one showed up, and they leave me on hold for 30 minutes as they "research the issue". Now they gave me another appointment with Whirlpool for 2 weeks from now. You just can't make this stuff up. I have been without a refrigerator going on almost three months!!! New Leaf has the worst customer service. DO NOT BUY THEIR EXTENDED WARRANTY. You can't respond to that post, leaving people to believe that they actually care. Newsflash... They don't. We have an Intermittent issue where are oven will not shut off. Their initial solution was to have senior citizens pull a 450 degree oven away from the wall and unplug it. When I pointed out for unsafe this suggestion was, I was told to turn off the breaker every time it happens. So I wrote a review about 4 months ago on how bad their customer service is and how erroneous information was given about a replacement appliance. Then they wanted me to pay for the restocking fee. I did get a message from"owner" saying he will look into it. To just say "sorry you agree to the restocking fee.." Insinuating, you were right on your comments but we are not going to do anything about it. I then got a call 3 months later stating that they will send the check and still to this day, NO CHECK!! This is the worst warranty server I've ever had! I purchased a Samsung refrigerator from orvilles 3 years ago and I've had somebody come out total of four times to service the fridge because it seems like it keeps dying and my food keeps going bad. The last time my fridge completely died they decided to cut me a check for $237 when I spent close to $1,000 for the fridge and warranty. This is absolutely absurd!!! I purchased a $199.99 5 year service contract for a new dishwasher. Less than 2 years after the purchase the dishwasher died and New Leaf said the dishwasher was unrepairable. According to their advertising they are supposed to replace the dishwasher if it's not repairable. New Leaf offered to refund the cost of the dishwasher minus the cost of the repairman's service call. So basically they will never replace an appliance because the cost of the appliance, even if it was the same price, will always be more than they allow because of the service call cost. They offered $319.99 to close the contract, so basically I'm getting $119.99 towards the replacement of the dishwasher (minus the cost of the service contract). Now I need to purchase a new dishwasher, pay sales tax and pay for installation again. Don't waste your money on a New Leaf Service Contract! read more

Only getting 1 start because I had to. Purchased a 5-year extended warranty on my Samsung Friday. I have had more than 4 service calls and the ice maker has been repaired/replaced 3 times. The last technician stated that it is not repairable. I was on there when he spoke to New Leaf and gave them the information. The last service call was Sept 15 2021. I was supposed to get a call from the "approvals" department for pay out on fridge. I have made multiple calls to new leaf they tell me I have to place another service call. I never had received any phone calls back, I have been hung up on, placed on hold for extensive hold times. This company absolutely does not care or respect its customers or their time. The absolute worst warranty company ever. When purchasing appliances, avoid New Leaf at all costs. We paid for a 5 year repair warranty. When our fridge broke, New Lead sent over 4 technicians who failed to repair it and kept pushing the work to other technicians. Purchased a Samsung Stove in 2016 and they told me if I didn't make any claims they would refund half the amount. I purchased through AJ Madison. Well my contract expired on in April 2021 and I mailed all Docs they required and they must have lost my Docs. They said they did not receive everything....But wait ... if you are insuring something ..Wouldn't you have copies of docs also ? I was expecting them to mail me a check for half the service price but when they sent me a letter 6 months later they said you needed to submit original receipt for the stove and the warranty service plan along with a 50% refund certificate (which I did but they must have lost it.) they claimed they never received. My 30 days are long gone... They have my receipts from when I activated the warranty and it was just an excuse not to pay. This is a dishonest company with scam practices,  stay away. Updated Review. Background: I got a service contract with the 50%-back-if-no-claims-feature. In June 2020, I filed for the 50% back. Silence until I gave a bad Yelp review in Dec 2020. I was told (in effect) try again which I did. Silence until I wrote a followup review, which got another reply to the effect if "we'll remind that department to give you your refund. Finally, in Aug 2021 a check arrived. I deposited it, it cleared... So I will revise my rating from "*" to "***" which is generous, since it took much trouble and 15 months to get the promised refund. But I did receive it. Note that this says nothing about actual warranty coverage, which I did not need because the product I purchased worked fine, at least as long as the warranty lasted. read more

I have talked to 6 different people at New Leaf over the past 2 weeks about my broken refrigerator that is clearly under warranty (only one month old!). Each person I talk to "can't find my claim" and either takes all my information again or tells me that they'll "look into it and call me back by the end of the day." The salesman that sold me the refrigerator has contacted them as well and he was told that they will call me "tomorrow". I have two 6'+ teenage boys who play water polo, and while I've never measured, I wouldn't be surprised if they eat a third of their weight in food every single day. With that in mind- do you know how expensive the past 2+ weeks have been since I DON'T HAVE A WORKING REFRIGERATOR I can keep food in for them?! I probably could have just purchased a second new refrigerator and it would have been cheaper! This is EXACTLY why the warranty was so important to me when I purchased and I was specifically told that it should take no longer than 48 hours to have someone out for service. Well we are currently 48+360 and counting. I paid for a contract. Then 3 years later I filed a claim. My refrigerator is set to 34% but the temperature never gets below 38% according to two different thermometers. Tech came out, said I needed a new part. Never came back, but they sent another tech out, who said there was nothing wrong, and it was normal to be 2-3% off. Ok, well I am still 4-5% off and that doesn't seem normal to me. This company charged me $240 for the tech coming out. And told me if I didn't pay, then my contract was cancelled. Which means to me, they take your money up front when you buy a contract, and then hope you file a claim that they can wiggle out of. My first problem was that I purchased Viking products, but that's another story. Anyway, when purchasing the Viking appliances for my new home, I opted to add the NewLeaf service contract. When my gas cooktop stopped working properly I contacted NL to honor the service contract. Initially they refused to even inspect the product and claimed that it was Viking's obligation. After much back and forth (MONTHS), NL acknowledged that it was their responsibility. NL sent a repairman out. He claimed that the burners were malfunctioning (...wait for it...) because of the CONSUMER (me) and that I didn't clean it properly. He cleaned it and went on his way. It STILL didn't work. I reached out to NL to actually fix it and they demanded that I pay for the first visit and that my service contract was suspended until I paid for the prior service. If I could give a negative star I would, we purchased an extended warranty, when our GE washer that is a year old went in September we contacted them to get it fixed, they then subcontracted it to Solutions Electronics that contacted us 15 days later after the initial claim. They came out and said they couldn't fix it due to inexperience on GE washers. I contacted New Leaf again and informed them of the situation to which they sent out Solutions Electronics again on 11/8 and again on 11/29 both times stating that they couldn't fix it. I am STILL waiting on New Leaf since then and I repeatedly called them and always magically get disconnected and there's still no resolve. read more

Since February my LG refrigerator has stopped cooling 4 times and Newleaf has sent techs in a timely manner each time. The refrigerator was repaired and worked for about a week each time but I lost all food 4 times which there is only a one time $200.00 payment made for food loss. The last tech that came to service the refrigerator was an LG tech and he declared the Unit Unrepairable on 6/18/2024 Today is 07/16/24. At this point I am expecting to get a refund for the refrigerator but Newleaf has not been cooperative since it was declared unrepairable they will not close the ticket and pay the claim, instead they claim that "LG" disagrees with their own LG tech and were sending another tech for a second opinion. I was told the second LG tech was being scheduled since 07/02/2024 and I'm still waiting to hear from them. Today I find out that Newleaf has been LYING to me when I asked the customer service person "Who Requested The Second Opinion?" He said that Newleaf requested it. This is why LG is not responding to their request for a second opinion. I do not trust this company for any type of Warranty as they won't honor a complete loss and refund my money. read more

Purchased 5-year extended warranty from Abes of Maine for camera and had a problem with the battery charger that came with the camera. Battery has to be charged for D7000 to work. Spoke to Savannah who said that they would not repair or send the charger for the battery to be repaired or replaced. I asked for a supervisor and was connected to Nathaniel. Nathaniel said, the battery "was an accessory" to the camera. Hey dumbass, the camera won't work without the battery and the charger is specific to that battery with a NIKON logo. It is a NIKON product. Called NIKON, told them that these jackasses would not set up a repair ticket because they call the battery and charger as "accessories" and they would only honor retiring the camera itself. I purchased a 5-year warranty on everything in the box. I am going to try and get refund from ABES of Maine. This is an excuse they use to not honor the warranty and set up and scheduling the repair. I would give this company a negative if I could. I bought the "warranty" from Orville's appliance on my whirlpool fridge. Come to find out its not a "warranty," its a service contract. False advertising. I called for service in December, claim wasn't resolved until mid January as I was losing food in my fridge. On hold for over 45 minutes overtime I call, or if I leave a callback number I get a phone call 3 hrs later. Customer service is horrible. The fridge was deemed unfixable by the company they sent out (after three service trips), then had to wait for them to tell whirlpool, then whirlpool to contact new leaf, then new leaf to process and contact Orvilles. Process is so long and ridiculous. I bought a supposed warranty to get my refrigerator fixed and taken care of. Once this was settled I was informed that I would be only getting $1,300 to replace a two year old fridge that costs $2,800. Some "warranty" that is scammed to the consumer. Absolutely ridiculous. Upon talking to New Leaf I was told that was my only option, and that they were only responsible for the sale price of the refrigerator minus the "service call fees." Wait, doesn't the warrant cover the service fees? NOPE!!! They tell you it does, and just deduct it from what they supposedly cover. Oh and they tried to say they will cover food loss up to $200. Well you bet your ass they aren't paying for that, they just take that off the total they cover also, so if you claim food loss then your total settlement is $200 less. If there is less than one star I would have given it to them my freezer has been deemed irrepairable by the manifacturer and it is crystal clear in the contract that they have to replace if it has been verified irrepairbale after more than 7 attempts of technicians to come and fix it from 4 different contractors they sent me and wasting so much food and wasting my time off from work to stay with these techs and on the final report its written everything has been done to fix the problem and the manufacturer called and deemed it to be irrepairable and has to be replaced. Yet Newleaf denied the replacement giving me some non sense excuses such as I have some food in the freezer and that may may not make the circulation good which is not true I have the freezer almost even empty with the problem there ,or I have a plastic sticker on the door of the freezer so that would void the warranty even though the freezer serial number has been verified every single time a repairman would come to try to do the repair. Lastly they do not care about their customers anyway I filed a BBB claim for that reason and they had a deadline to respond and they never did because they do not even care I m planning to sue them for all the replacement costs plus attorney and legal fees plus my wasted food and time . Also I am planning to write negative reviews about them on every single review website from google to yelp to all major website to make sure they would lose any potential new customers they are willing scam as well STAY AWAY from this company if you care about your appliance no wonder they have only one star rating on BBB read more
