This was a very pleasant experience, and I'm mad that today is the first time I've learned about this location in my hometown. I remember Earthfare and the Fresh Market just down the street. They have a variety of natural and organically curated products for your health and wellness that you cannot find anywhere else, but some of them are overpriced and you can find them other places online or in other stores like Sprouts. I asked the attendant of they had combined shampoo and conditions and many of those options are sold separately and without combination. I love how you can purchase plant, herbs, and trees outside. It pains me to write a negative review about one of the few places to get healthy foods in the deep-fried South, but I must do it. I first visited New Life several years ago and it made a bad first impression so I never went back. But since then, I'd been hearing good things and wanted to give it another shot to see how things have changed. I visited again with the intention of getting some juice. About 4 or 5 employees were working, but they were too busy chatting with each other to greet me or ask what I'd like. Finally, I got a menu and tried to order kiwi juice. I was told they don't have kiwi (ever. Apparently the menu is old). I tried to order a different juice. They didn't have that either. All they had was vegetables, no fruits. It seems like that's the sort of thing you should let a customer know to begin with. I left with an empty stomach. Very disappointed. I'd like to see businesses like this survive, so hopefully someone is reading this review and willing to make changes. ETA - It's a pretty sad day when "good service" is synonymous with "the red carpet." I think all businesses, fancy or not, should provide good service to all customers, regulars or not. I think it's pretty clear that I gave this business a fair shake and was very sorry to report a subpar experience, so getting personal is unwarranted. read more

More than a health-food store, this place. Passing through Augusta, I was taken by surprise by New Life Foods. Not only did they offer a great selection of quality foods and supplements, but also a shocking assortment of bulk herbs (some of them rare, and all at below-internet prices, even). What's more, there was even a juice bar and a cafe squeezed into the complex, and a little library and lounge area, too. The service was fast and friendly, and I left quite satisfied. New Life is one of the best health stores in Augusta. I have visited it dozens of times and have always found the staff attentive and extremely knowledgeable. I am baffled by Scarlett's poor review. Perhaps they didn't roll out the red carpet exactly how she wanted it because I have never found her depictions close to reality. This place is awesome. I usually come in to eat at the cafe in the back, but during my last visit I explored the store. This place has everything a health fanatic would want. They have a multitude of vitamins, essential oils, natural soup and lotions, etc. They even have alkaline water that you can take togo in a gallon. Some of the items are on the expensive side, but overall this store is hidden gem. They have a little reading nook hidden on the side. It's perfection. This is a place you go to if you want "healthy" food as far as when it comes to something being pure and unfiltered like honey or something with limited amounts of preservatives. I just feel some of the pricing of material is a bit high for what it is. Still if you need buckwheat flour this is your stop. read more

Love this place it's a at home store. Small but has most natural products. The people that work there are very helpful and nice.

I've always loved this store. And the restaurant inside it. I like that there is a book section.the employees are always so helpful when trying to find something specific. We have always ordered what we needed online but while evacuated from the hurricane we found this lil' gem in a hay stack. From herbs to minerals to essential oils and even CBD oils, they have it all. They even have literature on what you are buying. The staff is very knowledgeable, they aren't just selling the products they know their products, gotta love that. Thank Mr John Haywood for answering all of our 1000 questions, best $166 we spent on vacation. Be sure to taste the Pumpkin loaf bread too. read more
