I've been going to Dr. Karlinsky's office for a few years now and a better doctor you won't find. I've gone for the minor liquid touch ups here and there which have always been very gratifying when it came to feeling fresher and rejuvenated. After Jeanette explained the procedure and down time (very minimal), I felt comfortable going forward. Jeanette is a wonderful patient coordinator, and person. I went to New Look New Life Surgical Arts for Liposonix two weeks ago. The staff was courteous, but: - Procedure was carried out by a nurse - I thought this had to always be done by a MD, especially given that prices are above average for Manhattan. - No painkiller: the procedure is extremely painful and 4 staff members (including 2 MDs) promised me that they would get a painkiller "right away". They never did in spite of my constant requesting. When finally the 5th person (the nurse) came to give me the treatment she insisted that I "did not need" a painkiller. My best guess is that they ran out. Ironically, as I was lying in pain undergoing the treatment, she told me that she herself preferred liposuction to liposonix because it is less painful. - Prices goes up once you walk in: I send some photos the day before going to this place to get a quote for liposuction and liposonix. The next day I walked in to have the procedure, and the new quote I received for liposuction was 83.3% higher than the day before, and the quote for Liposonix (per square, as is the standard pricing for Liposonix) was 33.3% higher. Having already spend 20 minutes or so there with them and filled all the forms, it very much felt like I was trapped and I managed to negotiate a price difference of +6.67% (per square) compared to the prior day quote on Liposonix. I am an not familiar with other cosmetic surgeries but the whole experience was definitely below my expectations. I would like to think one can get a better service elsewhere. read more

I can't rave enough about how impressed I am with Dr Karlinsky. I first went for a one off Botox I think it was via a Lifebooker coupon. I was nervous but she is so calm and it was all rather painless. I decided to do some fillers also. I go back twice a year now -what am impressed with is not only her calm manner but the fact that she never upsells me any services. I have even asked for more and she's sent me away saying she would do it but she wants me to think about it (more fillers) and she was right!! The only reason I didn't review Dr Karlinsky (and her perfect clinic), which I'm in love with, is because of the nature of the services they provide to me (I do injectables) and the fact I'm a total privacy freak. Like I don't even use Facebook or LinkedIn. I'm still doing this now because I can no longer justify my non sharing with the world how amazing Dr. Victoria Karlinky and her entire clinic are after all the great things she and her staff did for me.. I have been a patient of Dr Karlinsky for over 4 years now and my love from first sight has become a solid long term relationship. Im looking forward to growing happily, beautifully old together. The thing is, I'm one of those life-long life hackers, who try to save a few pennies whenever possible here and there, never buying things unless there's a 'deal'. That's actually how I got to meet Dr. Karlinky the first time - they had a one-in a life-time promotion on LifeBooker years ago and I was lucky enough to grab it. Now, don't take me wrong her: I have grabbed all kinds of 'deals' for this specific services, NON of which resulted in such perfectly magical results as the one I got with New Look New Live and Dr/ Karlinky. All the numerous other 'deals' on injectables I have ever gone for, have resulted in either me paying the regular price for regular services, or being brutally overcharged, or me treated unprofessionally by a Fifth Avenue doctor, who had been featured by Ophra, but still gave me that Real Housewifes of New Jersey face, even though I neither deserved it, no paid for it (I was a single Manhattanite on a budget). The most common result of the 'deals' , however, was me having gotten injected in my face with saline. Yes, you heard me, not any of the costly and effective European products you expect to go into your skin, but a syringe of saline injected with a dull cheap needle leaving bruises on your precious forehead. Long story short: at this point of my life, I hunt for deals in any other areas of my consumer live, but not this one. Dr Karlinsky is the only person I trust with injecting stuff into my beautiful 40 y.o. face. And I'm happy with my experience and results EVERY SINGLE TIME. Here I should mention that in those years I have been a patient of Dr Kaplinsky, I had been through a rough stage in my personal life, when I thought I want to change a lot of things in my appearance and I'd turn to Dr Karlinky to discuss how I wanted to do a cosmetic surgery or a procedure of that or this kind. Here is what her response to my inquiries had been every time: YOU DO NOT NEED THIS. BUT I KNOW AND CAN RECOMMEND YOU A GOOD PSYCHIATRIST. How awesome is that of someone making her living by providing those surgeries and procedures? A few other things you need to know about Dr. Victoria Karlinsky: 1. Neither of her photographs , professional pictures, pics you see online do any justice to how amazingly she really looks in real life. You'd give her right leg to look like her after 40, or any other age, really. Even in those nerdy glasses and no make up on. 2. She's the unlimited class act and is very inspiring at that. 3 Her professional integrity level is out-worldly. Seriously, we are not in Midwest here. 4 I never had ANY bruising as a result of her treatments, even though I know short-term bruising is normal with this kind of things and I'd be totally fine if I had it, considering how great the results are, every time. I highly recommend Dr Karlinsky. I couldn't be happier with my results. I'm not one to normally write reviews but I had such a good experience with Dr Karlinsky and her staff that I felt I needed to post something. Dr Karlinsky is warm, friendly and extremely professional. It's more like talking to a friend than a doctor. I had lost a lot of weight 100+ and had kept it off for many years, but I wanted to take the next step and remove the excess skin on my belly. After an exam, she recommended a mini tummy tuck along with some liposuction. She also said she didn't think I needed to touch my breasts. Imagine a doctor turning down an extra procedure. I also wanted to see what she could do with an old appendectomy scar I had had for 20 years. This was not your typical little scar hidden in the bikini area. It was a 5 inch vertical scar that looked like an old-school c-section. It was ugly to begin with and only got worse over time with weight gain/weight loss and a couple of kids. It was stretched, puckered and looked indented like a ravine. Dr Karlinsky worked her magic. She flattened out my appendix scar along with my belly. My abdominoplasty scar is practically invisible and the difference in my appendix scar was amazing. I am no longer embarrassed to wear a bikini. After the surgery, Dr Karlinsky gave me her cell number just in case. I'm happy to say that I didn't have any complications and my recovery was quicker and easier than I expected. I came here because a good friend of mine recommended Dr. Vega to me. I knew I could trust my friend because she has more experience in this than I do; she was receiving services from a different medical spa until she found New Look New Life and hasn't returned to her previous spot since. I decided to make an appointment which was simple to do, by the way, and they immediately answered the phone. Upon entering, I was impressed by how clean and presentable the office looked. I was greeted by Rebecca Sehgal and Braulio Medina who were very welcoming and helpful in calming my nerves. I also appreciated that they maintained my privacy and did not disclose any personal information as there were other clients in the waiting area. I met with Dr. Vega in her office, one-on-one, to talk about the service I was interested in receiving and to ask her all the questions I had. Talking to her is very easy and not once did I feel rushed. Right afterwards, we proceeded onto the service, which was Juvederm lip injections. As mentioned earlier, I was nervous before my appointment, but Dr. Vega is confident in her practice which reassured me that she knew what she was doing. She made sure I was comfortable throughout the whole session, making sure I approved of how I looked along the way. It wasn't nearly as painful as I assumed it would be and I did not experience any bruising. Dr. Vega is very gentle and precise. My lips turned out to look exactly like how I asked. At the end of my visit, I was given very clear after-care instructions. Yet again, the staff made sure all my questions were answered and even followed-up with a phone call the next day. My favorite part of the New Look New Life Surgical Arts center is they are kind and don't push anything. I came in when I was I a vulnerable state. I lost over 100 pounds and had loose skin on my breasts, my tummy, and my thighs. The doctor discouraged a thigh lift because it wasn't necessary. Encouraged a mini versus a full tummy tuck. Jeanette, the surgical assistant, and Dr. Karlinsky discouraged a breast lift until I was mentally ready for one. I'm so glad I did it. There was minimal scaring and I have perky breasts for the first time ever. When I show my friends, they tell me, you must have had a great doctor. I highly recommend this office all around. I'm in my early thirties, biracial and was looking for a touch up (rejuvenation on my face). When I get there her receptionist are talking just foul disturbing nonsense while I wait to get my treatment. There were two gentlemen there too taking part of the awful conversation I had to endure. One of the gentlemen was Indian and seemed to be an intern and the other a Caucasian man, both very rude. I get called in and both men were in the room while I waited for the Doctor V. Number one she doesn't tell me the price for the procedure I'm getting done, Number 2 it felt uncomfortable having those two unprofessional men there. Once the procedure was done I had to wait back at the sitting area to pay an ridiculous amount for just filler (one area over $850). As I waited for the receptionist, Dr. V comes out and just watches me to my understanding to make sure I don't run out. Then the receptionist comes and another client walks in and Dr.V offers to grab her coat and ask if she would like anything to drink. The lady that walked in was white, I guess they get better service, cause my service was awful!! Never going backk!! Don't bother replying back! read more

Let me first start by saying that yes Dr. Karlinsky is a very nice and attentive doctor and the staff are very pleasant. I have been back and forth about writing this review! Now my issue is that I paid for a procedure that was so unsuccessful that I look absolutely no different than how I looked before the surgery. I voiced my opinion about the results and was explained that there was nothing more to be done except having another similar procedure which would cost pretty much the same- well I think you get a 8% discount if I'm not mistaken! Now being nice doesn't put the money back into my pocket, being nice doesn't make me feel any better about wasting my hard earned money! She was very nice in trying to make me feel better about a situation that I trusted her with. I wasn't unrealistic about the ending results although she might think otherwise. I'm embarrassed because I feel stupid that I spent so much money for nothing. I spent $10,000 and have absolutely nothing to show but a couple inches off my waist. That's not what I paid for!!!! I could have spent less for liposuction. I didn't think it made sense writing this review and it's been over two years since my procedure but the thought of this happening to someone else sickens me! All i wanted was what I paid for and unfortunately for me that didn't happen. I guess I chose the wrong Doctor and I have to live with that. I asked her if she could do what I paid for since it wasn't successful the first time around- I didn't think I should have to pay for her mistake but of course she said no because money talks!
