I used to go here all the time when I lived in New Rochelle. I had acrylics back then, and that's what they specialize in. I went in today after a flight to fix one of my broken nails (from a different state) and they were so accommodating! They were so generous and quick, and they made my nail look so perfect! And the fix was a generous price! I'm actually going back on Monday to get a full set, so I'm going to update this review to reflect that set! I hope the same energy is there that was there today! Something that should be noted is that all of the customers that walked in and they were around me acted like they all knew each other--like family! Like back at a time where you knew everyone at a nail salon. So fun. So lively! One disclaimer: Cash only place--ATM on sight. No Venmo it seems either. (A bit archaic but hey! They might be trying to keep the prices lower for their long-term clientele, and I respect that!) Updating this review to be less subjective to give it a 4/5. For sanitation issues. Other than that they seriously held it down for me and he was able to get all of the nails looking like the reference nail I had shown in that photo. Fact is I am rough on my nails, I work in an auto body shop. I frequently close a hood and catch my nail, or get it caught on something. The work I have had done here stands up to my job. From time to time a still break one, but overall they LAST! And the designs, the actual artwork they pull off is amazing! I love this place. The prices are great and reasonable but note that this is a CASH ONLY place. however, there is an ATM inside that charges you $1.50 to take out money - up to you if you're okay with that, if not there is an HSBC and a Chase down the street. There is street parking and if not, there are parking lots in walking distance but note that you are also paying hourly. New Natural Nail is clean and can get busy. Met the owner at my job and once she saw my jacked up nails she recommended her salon. My nails were super long and kept breaking so i gave them a try and cut my nails down (it was so hard for me to do btw). At first i was scared of how the outcome was gonna be because im very particular of my nails, (cant be too square, not too thick looking, etc). I recommend Vee, the owner, or even Jim when it comes to acrylic. The only thing I don't like is probably the wait and the eyebrow service. I recommend booking an appointment before going. Where do I begin! The owner is flat out RUDE! And racist! She caters to "white women" or who she assumes is white ! She scared of "black women" or who she assumes is black. I am Hispanic I came in on Thursday Feb 10th, with my 2 daughters around 4pm. I was getting full set and pedicure. My daughter was getting full set and my other daughter manicure. I walk in and ask should I put my name on the list she says no go to the back and do your pedicure first. I say ok remember they are also getting serviced she says ok they can wait in the back with you. After waiting over TWO HOURS I finally sit for my pedicure, and my daughters have yet to be called. Before I sit I go remind her my daughters are waiting she said they are very busy and I need to wait my turn. I said I am waiting I am simply reminding you because all the women waiting when we arrived two hours ago are already being serviced meanwhile my daughter is sitting in the back. During my pedicure women are coming in and she is not calling my daughter. I send my 14 yr old to go ask her how many people are still ahead of her she tells her we are busy we are busy. My pedicure lady sees how uncomfortable and upset I am so she's like don't worry let me go talk to her. I see that you guys have been here hours. She proceeds to a nail tech and ask the nail tech to take my daughter next and explains what's going on. The nail tech calls on my daughter and the owner shouts that it's not her turn and ask her to service a white lady who had no appointment and had just walked in. The nail tech refuses and says this girl has been waiting. I am flipping in my seat doing my pedicure trying to remain calm and frustrated as to why she is treating us that way. My daughter finally sits at 7pm to do her nails. While I am being serviced an altercation rises with her and two customers, I was unable to see/hear what happened because I was all the way in the back doing my feet. But I can two customers screaming at her in the front and getting upset and leaving, to which NO ONE of her employees even looked up to defend her or anything it's like they are accustomed to her having issues with people. My pedicure is done at 730 pm where I proceed to ask her who is going to do my nails and my other daughters manicure. She FLAT OUT SAYS NO we are not doing your nails it is too late ! I said late? I've been here since 4pm! She says we stop taking people. I said I've been here ! You sent me for a pedicure first. If I knew I would have not done a pedicure and done my hands. She says NO ignores me as she's working on someone else. It took everything in me to not curse her out. I walked back to my daughters station crying because I was so furious. I spent over 4 hours in a nail salon to then be denied service for no reason at all. It is her responsibility to service me once I am inside. I patiently waited my turn for my pedicure my daughter waited her for two hours which u less we spoke up she would have continued to skip us. I was disgusted with her service and she will NEVER see another dollar that I earn. My 14 yr old was saying mom what was her problem why was she so rude to us. Sadly we are not white and she did not cater to us and sadly we are not black where she would be scared I was going to flip her damn table. So sadly being a decent human looking to spend her hard worked money is not valued at this establishment. Will NEVER step foot in there. Let me start by saying I've been coming to this salon for the past year and I've noticed a few things that were concerning including the fact that Paula does Not clean or sanitize the station or arm rest in between customers. I believe that it is absolutely SAD to become overly offended when a customer who happens to be A Medical Professional who has been impacted by COVID and has seen the effects of poor sanitation and hygiene brings it to your attention!! My manicurist of choice was PAULA because she is skilled. Initially I was in love with the detail and quality of my simple fill ins. As time went on she would charge me an extra $5 and say, "you want i change shape" Initially i didn't make a big deal but it became frustrating because honestly I am literally the most simple person when it comes to my nails I NEVER Change the shape of my nails nor do I get designs or long lengths!!!!! Everyone knows that after a few weeks the nails grow out and a normal fill the professional will use an emery board to refresh the shape per usual!!!! Why charge $5 extra.... By NO MEANS is $5 a big deal but its the principal when I'm already paying $35 plus tip for a normal acrylic fill in............ I spoke to HELEN who was surprisingly extremely RUDE AND SAID, I SHOULD NOT COME BACK ! WOW...... In all my years simply inquiring about an unnecessary charge would warrant the owner or manager to say, " Dont come back!!!" Definitely one of the worst mani and pedi's I've had. The nail polish was extremely messy. There was no nail protectant, heal softener, or an effort to scrub feet.
