really good selection of frames for rx glasses. they carry the latest styles of oliver peoples, lindberg, paul smith, o&x new york, etc. at very reasonable prices. no point in going to specialty retail stores when you can try on most brands in one store. if you like plastic frames but dont' have a bridge, o&x makes them with protruding nose pads especially for asian faces. also super service. i spent nearly 2 hours trying on frames, putting my hair up and down, pretending to be at work and then at play. they laughed but were totally okay with it. my lenses were put in under 2 hours and the sales guy spent his time adjusting the frames so that it would fit my face correctly. you can probably find cheaper frames online but since the face is not usually perfectly symmetrical, it's better to try it on in real life and have a professional adjust it for you. read more

I love this place. I came here all the time when I was living in orange county. I moved to los angeles and went to a korean optometrist near my place but the experience was not the same at all. I thought all optometrists are the same but coming back I realize that its not true at all! At New Optix, the staff working here are all super nice. I really do enjoy my visits to the optometrist when I come here. I love this place because they remember their clients unlike most places that just work and then push you out. If you make an effort to talk a little bit more you will have a great bond with the staff here. My last visit, I told them that my eyes were dry and irritated everyday~ they ended up giving me a few bottles of eyedrops for free, When I insisted on paying, they gave me more! I was honestly surprised. I ended up receiving 10+ little bottles of free of lubricating eye drops. YAY! The store itself is super clean and always look fresh. The selection range is great. They also sell prescription circle lens if you needed them. I've been coming here for a few years now I believe and I highly recommend this place. I have to commute from Los Angeles to get here but I am not know it is definitely worth the drive. read more

Today as i write this review, it is my 3rd times here! 3x is a charm!! I went here to get my glasses done. Extremely happy with the price, the result and how fast i get the glasses! The second time i came back cause my dog ate my glasses lol got scratches on it and i try to fix it but got worse! (don't fix it yourself) they replace my lens and i had to wait cause the lens i want they had to order. Again, very happy! Today i went back to get contact lens and exam. My family's been coming to this place, but I've been getting disappointed the more I come. I would suggest, STAY AWAY from this place! They may seem to have a fairly good customer service, but NO, service is HORRIBLE, very UNPROFESSIONAL, and indirectly RUDE! When you walk in, the workers don't really greets you in, or bother to help, as if they don't want to do business. You would either have to go find and ask one of the workers, or just stand there and wait forever until one of them approaches you. Once, I was just sitting on the chair looking at the frames they have, but one of the lady approached me and asked me to take a look at her glasses for me, thinking that I was one of the workers. Hello?! I had to let her know who the workers are here, because no one welcomed/helped her when she came in. I personally don't think it right way to treat their customers. MAJOR DOWNSIDE to this place: They make SO MANY mistakes, very unprofessional, and takes FOREVER to get your glasses ready. When we went to go pick up our glasses, they once told us that they don't have our invoice paper or any information about us... ok, THIS does NOT make any sense to me. First of all, they're "Optometry" place where they should not lose their customer/patient's information.... Secondly, how did they even make the glasses if they lost the paper that had my prescriptions written down? If they call you saying that they will have your glasses ready by certain day, don't believe them; you'll have to wait at least an hour to get your glasses. Sometimes even when you go in like a day or two after the promised date, they don't even have your glasses made/ready, or would make it When you get there. I went in for a eye checkup with the optometrist that they have there, but I guess they don't trust their optometrist or something, since based on my eye exam results, one of the guy who works there began to ask me whole bunch of random/personal questions making me feel uncomfortable, and began to change around with my eye exam results. I ended up getting my glasses done as to what he changed it to be, but I've seen him do this to some other people as well.. There's so many other optometry places around here, so try other places. This place is great. For an optometry they have a huge selection of sunglasses and frames. It's pretty hard to find a place that have a big variety of both. They also have great service but the only thing is that they are busy. It's a reflection of their business. They must be doing something right since a lot of people are always there. The staff is also very professional and friendly. I was immediately greeted when I first walked in. It didn't feel as if they're were selling me anything and it was such a smooth process. I've been to several optometrists and New Optix has by far exceeded my expectations, not only as an optometry, but as a business as well. I highly recommend this place. Brought in my Dita frames to get them adjusted to fit my wide head. Handed my glasses to a wonderful gentleman who worked on them for five minutes. The results were stellar, as the frames fit better than any previous one I've owned. I can't testify to the quality of their eye exams or other optometry services, but for frame adjustment (esp. plastic acetate ones which can be difficult for some optometrists), these guys are the best I've seen and really know what they're doing. I'll be sure to return soon for all my eye wear needs. Peeking around the store, they have a good selection of frames, from cheap to expensive (e.g., Thom Browne, and Oliver Peoples). The selection here is far beyond other optometry businesses I've been to in Orange County. read more

I've gotten 5+ glasses/sunglasses done here because they're awesome! Pretty quick turnaround time, good service, custom fitting, cleaning and good selection. You can also bring your own glasses and have them just put in prescription lens. The owner is a pretty funny guy too. They have their own brand called NuFace which I've had over 5 years and it's held up very well even after several drops to the floor. It's extremely light and comfortable which I like. If you read all the good reviews, its mostly, if not all, because of Stephanie's awesome service. However, when I came in for my annual eye exam, I was told that she no longer works there. I should have heed that as a warning and walked away immediately, but gave them the benefit of the doubt. Boy, was I wrong. After my exam, I had to ask for few contact lenses sample since they do not know when I'll be getting my contacts...& they only gave me 2 pairs! Steph would give me a box or 2 with a lovely smile on her face! These stingy people when I asked for more, would speak in Korean to each other and hand me extra pairs with like a frown on the girl's face. They seriously need to smile more! Then, when I asked them if I would get the full reimbursement, they said, "I don't know..." Well, with Steph she would always give u the reassurance that I will get full reimbursement which I would always get. So you guys better hire Steph back or else you'll lose customers! read more

I came in today looking to reup on my contact lens since I'm on my last pair. I was looking for Stephanie but she won't be back til June (she had a baby). I usually come in every month to get 30 pairs of daily contact lens from Stephanie. I paid 40 dollars for an unofficial exam but it was okay as long as I buy contact lens from her (New Optix) so I didn't need to pay 100 for the official exam and be able to buy contact lens anywhere. Thought saving 60 bucks was a good deal until today, when I came in and Stephanie wasn't there. Some dude help me and told me I need to do another exam. Forget that. I'm taking my business elsewhere. Normally I would be satisfied coming in everytime. I hate to base this review off one bad experience but hey, sometime all it takes is one bad experience to make you not want to come back anymore. read more

Came in Once. Thought it seemed a bit off. Gave me an off vibe. so I didn't get anything done. I gave the place a 2nd shot. I got my exam done. that I payed for out of pocket. my insurance covers it...then I asked about contacts. I got a quote for $200 and some odd dollars after he did some strange math in front of me telling me he'll give me a discount. at the same time he huddle up with some one else speaking in korean. then he left and came back. I told him I was okay with the trials. I stopped by another optometry about 2 miles down the street. My INSURANCE Covered Everything. I payed nothing out of pocket. I felt bad like they tried taking advantage of me. steer clear from this place. they don't even offer poly carbonate lenses. they say they offer something better lol but won't really explain it....hmmm read more

although this review is going to be short, i really have to say im impressed, grateful, and amazed by their work. i called by because one of the temple, or "arms" of my raybans fell off because the screw became loose and lost that was holding it together. I asked a bunch of places of what they could do and how fast they could do it and new optix responded with immediately and they said that they could do it for free. a little skeptical, i still stopped by to see what they could do since i havent really heard of new optix before, but it was in the area that i lived so i gave it a try. when i came in, they already recognized me, i guess by the distraught look in my face. they took my sunglasses and i waited in their nice little area while they went to work. and within five minutes, they brought it out and called me forward. a man cleaned my entire sunglasses with gloves and everything and dried it up and even put it on for me, to make sure everything was adjusted and fine. he noticed that they were tight and even fixed that for me too, in addition to fixing my sunglasses in the first place. i politely asked how much this would cost me and he said it would be nothing, and then i further tried to tip him and he kindly rejected. definitely recommend this professional place; the people are kind and patient and are there to help you, not to help and try to scam you out of some cash. parking is in a decent plaza, shouldn't be a problem. will be coming back to this location for any further questions or problems with either my raybans or oakleys read more

They are also shipping my glasses to my home since I live slightly far away (with a tracking number included). They have lots of different frame styles with different brands and alternatives. The doctor was very nice, answered all my questions, and took her time with the exam. The staff is very nice and helpful! The only odd part was that the frames Im receiving are the same as the ones on the floor (but, I've got to several different places and they do they same as well?). I've been buying my glasses here since I was 16(different location then). They are not welcoming, most of the time they won't even recognize you coming into their store. BUT... If you just want well put together glasses, don't mind the typical old school Korean atmosphere, this is the place. Go in sit down and then eventually get to you. This is my very first negative review on Yelp... I usually don't complain and try to give businesses benefit of the doubt, but this was different. Please avoid going to this place at all cost... you'll thank me later. Please don't be fooled by all the other 5 stars that you see here. You might feel pretty good at your first visit.. that's if it all goes well, but it doesn't go well, o my my.. expect some bad customer service. Yes, they do have a wide selection of frames, but they're very unorganized, very unprofessional, and horrible customer service. Stefanie might look really nice at first, but that's only when things are going her way. The frame that I ordered was backordered, in which I had to personally call about 3 times after 5 days of waiting to find out that it's backordered. I pretty much waited over a month just for the frame. They said they'll have the glasses ready for me to pick up by Thursday, so I went in on Friday to pick it up... and realized that they haven't done ANYTHING to the glasses yet. I waited close to 3 hours because they kept saying "1 sec" "5 min", but it turned out to be 2-3 hours. So, about Stefanie... if something doesn't go her way, she will bombard you with disrespectful attitude, she doesn't know how to say sorry, customer service (not the fake smile,, i mean genuine customer service) is least of her interest. All the other workers? they were EATING for crying out loud!! I told Stefanie that I'll cancel my order after all the trouble that she put me through, and her response? "Oh, Ok!" and.. that was it. At least say sorry....? They said that they "lost" my information but.. here's my question: 1) How did they know what my prescription is if they have lost all my information? O, and when I wore the glasses, I felt so dizzy that I had to take it off right away. It wasn't my prescription. 2) How did they file a claim to my insurance company? They already filed the claim, and still asked me to pay the full amount... REALLY? If you want to waste your time and experience what it feels like to receive a BAD unprofessional customer service, this is a place for you. Trust me, first experience might be ok if everything goes smooth, but if something doesn't go right, you'll totally know what I mean. Here is why I am not a fan. SERVICE! Surprisingly this place was fine the first time I came and that is why I came back (although first time was just a purchase of sunglasses, so it was quick and done with the same day). This time I came back for optical glasses and the service went from okay when I placed the order to horrible by the time I picked up the glasses. And here is why. I'm all for supporting small establishments; especially as service tends to be better and personal versus large chains. To my dismay, this was not true. You would think a small business would care more about service, but this store did not seem to care at all. If I were the owners, no matter how busy I am or if I made a mistake, I would go over and beyond to make it right. I guess they just don't realize that the only reason they are still in business is the customers, yet they failed miserably. I don't care if this is just one person or one bad experience, it should count just the same. All I was looking for was a response. I don't think it's unreasonable to have someone call you back and answer your question and provide what you are asking for, after all you are a paying customer who has paid. Why does it take 9 days to respond? That is most definitely unacceptable. It would aggravate any customer. Here's the kicker, the service was worst when I came in to pick up my glasses. I had some question about the billing, nothing crazy right? I left unhappy, they knew that, they didn't bother to address any issues, and not even a thank you or bye. Just gave me my glass and radio silence as if they don't want my business. Well you got it! I also had issues with them getting so busy and had to lie. I asked them to write my account insurance number instead of my personal ID on the forms and they said insurance rep was not available or did not provide it. I stepped outside called the insurance company and they gave it to me. If you are busy, that's fine, don't lie! Not that I need it or would want to hear anything else at this point but I got one word: unprofessional. What an unforgettable experience. It makes me sad that this small business can operate with such poor service in this type of economy. I get it you're the boss you do whatever you want, and if customers don't like it they don't have to come, but it's a pitty, when you just don't get it. Every experience counts and that should be the mentality for all business. You cannot satisfy all and get 100% satisfaction at all times, but when you are the owner and don't even practice excellence or even try, what is the point of being in business? I don't care if you have 20 good reviews and 1 bad one, I will read the good and bad for any establishment and it will matter. Having character and integrity is just as important if more than service. read more

I've been going to this place for my glasses, exams, contacts for about 5 years now. I knew this place was good because of their friendly service and their affordable prices, but it just recently got better. They remodeled the place and they have more selections than ever yet their pricing still remains lower than any other places I've shopped around (sometimes I'd visit other brand name stores just to browse around) I love the fact that whenever I make a purchase, they give ample samples and eye solutions as added service. I would've recommended this place years ago had I known about their existence on yelp. I'd recommend this place to anybody who needs glasses and contacts.
