Not sure what events have transpired, however, I've ordered my favorite Orange Chicken because I like the spicy heat. I've even asked the girl up front for Extra Spicy Orange Chicken. She assured me that it will be spicy, nope. Though there was plenty of Florida orange peel in the dish, it wasn't a bit spicy after requesting EXTRA SPICY. I've only started getting take out fro here a few months ago. I used to go to the other Chinese at the other end of the plaza, but this one is WAAAAAY better, but could still use some work. The staff is pleasant enough and are very accommodating. Ordered the sesame balls, but they were out, so they gave extra food and a large Orange soda to compensate. That was a nice touch. I love spicy food, and only once, did I get my food at an acceptable heat, and that was asking for extra-extra spicy. It still could have been hotter. The beef and broccoli, szechuan beef, hunan beef, krab rangoons, fried wontons, eggrolls, ribs, skallops, chicken chow mein (very bland, but still tasty) are all top notch. read more

Ordered the sweet and sour soup, beef and broccoli, house lo mein, and orange chicken. Just moved here so wanted to get an idea of what the Chinese was like. Everything was very heavy on the soy sauce. Orange chicken tasted liked chicken buy very little meat - though it was my favorite dish because it wasn't overpowered with soy sauce. Beef broccoli on the other hand had lots of beef and big perfectly cooked florets of broccoli - just a little too much soy again. House Lo Mein - noodles overcooked, very little meat and vegetables, way too much soy sauce seasoning. Now I just moved here from just outside Portland, Oregon - the Chinese food was much better there on the whole. Dinner is always good, but staff is sub par. We will only order from here though because I am not going there for the staff, but for the food. We have never eaten in, always order to go. I usually get the general tso chicken (its not spicy at all) and my husband gets the Mongolian beef. We usually ask for it extra spicy and it never is but the egg rolls are good, the wonton soup is good, the lo mein is good... Overall, food is good! read more

This is the Only Chinese Restaurant I will eat at as the food is Delicious, I have never purchased anything from this restaurant that was not Delicious! The Egg Rolls, Lo- mein, Crab Rangoon, General Tso's Chicken Etc. The People running it are very nice and have two cute Kids :)... There are a lot of Chinese Restaurants in Deltona which i will never go to again, as they smell bad when you walk in their door or the food just sucks! My family and I have been going there since it opened. We're extremely particular on any of the food we eat from presentation to the food itself to staff. The staff, unless it's been a bad day, are always courteous and friendly. They even go the extra mile for us when it comes to the food for my 83 year old Mom who eats like a bird. Though normally the dish which she orders is a good sized portion the staff realizes our predicament and has now, without asking for it, cut her meal (Shrimp and Broccoli) down to a small portion, the food is always great-! My sons and I definitely vary our choices so we've basically have had everything over the years. As for the other places in or around Deltona- we've been to them all and except for the Hibachi in Deland we've not found one that can come close to the food, staff, or owners. Which is a good thing, And it's even closer to our home, then any of them so we go quite often. We're definitely sticking with this one. And Leonard L- yes at one time last year they did have a chef who needed some retraining, Either he's received it or the owners fired him but the food has returned to its original goodness. read more

I don't know who pissed in the waiter's cereal but I think it'd be helpful for him to know that you can't mask bad customer service skills with even worse sarcasm. If you like your waiter exasperated, unfocused, and patronizing then this might be the place for you. Trust me, I'm the first to say that the way you treat waiters and waitresses says multitudes about your character, so I'm never anything but nice, and I played along, but it took a lot for me to not throw a drink in his face. His mother was very nice, though. Anyway the food is average as are the prices, so if you're a sadomasochist to bad service then you'll have a great time dining in. Trying to find a new Chinese place since the one which was previously best in town now has new owners and took a nose dive. All of the good reviews for this place must be either fake or people with no palate to speak of. The fried rice has no flavor aside from salt, with hardly any veggies or pork to be found. The egg rolls have a different flavor than most takeout egg rolls, they are very similar to the ones you find in the frozen foods section, so most likely they are frozen and factory produced. The dumplings also seem to be frozen from a factory, they are bland and much too uniform in size and shape to be homemade. The worst offender by far was the wonton soup. The broth had a strong chlorine flavor so either it was cooked or kept in something that was cleaned with bleach and not rinsed well, or made from highly chlorinated water. Aside from the chlorine the only other discernible flavor was salt. The wontons themselves were bland with a slightly off-putting flavor. They don't even include free crispy noodles when you order soup. The lo mein, general tso, sesame chicken, and chicken teriyaki were all just ok, not good or bad. Our order would have been under $30 anywhere else but it came to $40 here. Most places give you some kind of free item when you spend more than $20, but not here. New Peking is trash, stay away. read more

We have come to this restaurant several times in the past and the food was great. However, it seems to have taken a turn for the worst! When we walked in, the girl at the counter (whom I assume to be the owner's daughter) asked what we needed. When we told her we wanted to eat it, she dropped her shoulders, let out a sigh and seemed less than interested to serve us. She was rude and unresponsive the entire time, even though we were the only table in the restaurant. The family sat there watching Martha Stuart and could care less about serving their patrons. The food was subpar and the restaurant was filthy. As a former server, I understand what it's like to have a rough day. Although, I would never make my customers get up to find soy sauce, ask for the check and a box, etc. and to too it all off, respond only with an "uh huh" when the customer said "thank you". We will not return to this restaurant and I would highly recommend finding a different place to eat if you don't want to "bother" the people that "work" there. read more
