Second time I had a really bad pedicure with Winny. She uses Luke warm water and doesn't understand when you ask for it to be much warmer. She doesn't ask if you want the toenails to be short, she files into the skin and causes bleeding, she uses the file on the heels for about 39 seconds T mist and doesn't massage the feet at all while she looks everywhere but at you so that there is zero communication. Unfortunately I'm told to make appointment in the future so I get a better technician, seems like management doesn't think customer feedback is of importance. read more

This is a place I used to love when they first opened. I have tried giving them chances and I have just been let down. I came here today because I desperately needed a pedicure and the place I go to now wasn't open. The lady I got seemed distracted and she was RUSHING! She barely filed the nails, almost pretended to push back cuticles and quickly cut them back. I'm annoyed and I wanted to stop the process all together, but I am not that person. Super disappointed. Update: New Posh is still my go to spot for nail perfection. Grace is just about my favorite person ever, and she is incredibly talented and a total perfectionist when it comes to nails. All of the staff st NPNS are just lovely, so skilled, friendly and sweet. The spa itself is always immaculate, they keep everything so clean and the tools are always handled properly. I'm in NYC weekly but I still hold out and wait to get my nails done with Grace. I can't imagine going anywhere else! read more

I have been going here for over a year and cannot speak highly enough about this business. From the warm, clean and welcoming environment to the impeccable work done by the nail artists, this place is five stars across the board. They've fit me in last minute, while very busy, after I mangled my nails trying to do them myself with only the slightest admonishment to never try taking off acrylics by myself again lol. I went because i was given a gift certificate- but they had no red nail polish 2 days before Christmas! Finally i asked if they had a place they put the ones ppl just used and they finally found a few red colors. I coikd tell they were annoyed. It wasnt our fault no one put them back. They were trying to make me use orange or red glitter! I felt very rushed and she missed the edges of some nails on my manicure... my pedicure was just ok - she didnt really file my nails after cutting them. My daughter had a gel polish but they didnt even shape her nails. My friend went a few days before us and she was not happy either. We agreed we will not go back. the worst part is my nails were chipping and polish was coming off by the next day. I will add the lady running around filling towels and cleaning up was really sweet -she even helped my daughter put her shoes on- the 2 that did our nails were not so nice-just wanted to move on to next money making guest. Worst pedicure ever!! First time ever I didn't leave a tip for technician, that's how disappointed I was. Nails were cut way too short, and to boot they weren't evenly cut on both feet. One toe nail is longer than the other one, and the rest are not even either. Furthermore, the pedicure couldn't have lasted more than 15 minutes, the most. I felt like I was on an assembly line in a factory, just on the conveyor belt waiting to get out. Polish job not great either. I'm a guy so this review will probably be irrelevant to 99% of potential customers. Within the last year or so, I've decided that I've just become too old to bend down and cut my toenails (in my mid-60s). The first (second and third) time I decided to let someone else do it was when I was in Florida, where there's oodles and oodles of competition for this type of service. I gotta admit, each of the times I went, I was happy with the result. In New Milford, however, competition for pedicures is ... well, there's not so much. Fortunately, unlike a bunch of the obviously dissatisfied customers venting their spleen on this platform, I neither needed nor wanted colors on my toenails, my fingernails or anywhere else. The big issue for me was the HARD SELL, not something I had encountered in Florida. Here, I was told that, of course, you don't just want a basic pedicure (about $30). You want a "specialty" pedicure (nearly $60). Sorry guys, but your specialty pedicure ain't worth the difference. Meanwhile, though, I'll be back as I'm now here in New Preston and, like I said, there ain't a lot of alternatives. read more

Absolutely love this place! It's my go to. The service is always great, but prepare to wait if you don't have an appointment because they are always busy. I go here to get a gel manicure and my brows done pretty regularly, and I'm always impressed. My gel usually lasts three weeks with no damage, and by the fourth week chips, but I work in an animal hospital and use chemicals and cleaning solutions a lot, so if you don't have a hands on job you can probably expect your nails to last a little longer. All of the equipment is sterile single use and the place itself is immaculate. The tubs are lined before each pedicure and there are sinks in the center of the room so you know for a fact that everyone is washing their hands and their equipment. They offer an optional free massage during your manicure, so make sure that if you'd like one you're prepared to tip a separate person! There is also a $5 fee for removal of gel polish. I keep going back to this place and happily direct friends and family to them as well! I recommend asking for Lisa or Grace! read more

First and last time I'll be coming here. Went in for a mani/pedi, started off ok. The place is very clean and the staff was welcoming. The pedicure was very basic, short soak, quick scrub, minimal massage. I liked that they warm up the cream before putting it on your legs. The manicure was disappointing. She cut my cuticles without asking (I normally just need them pushed back), making me bleed so she couldn't paint all the way to the base making my nails look like they were painted a week ago. And she didnt file them completely, I had jagged edges that I ended up having to fix when I got home. The total came to $37, which seemed kind of expensive considering how basic everything was. She then added the tax and told me it was 39.95, normally I don't have a lot of cash in my wallet but I happened to have had $55 yesterday, so I handed her the $50 bill and pulled out the other $5 bill for her tip. When she handed me my change I just shoved it in my wallet. Then, while I was sitting at the drying area, I noticed there was a tax chart taped to the wall and for $37 she was supposed to charge 39.35 not 39.95, but I wasn't going to make a big stink over a couple of cents. But then this morning I went back into my wallet for the first time since yesterday and noticed the change she gave me, and it was short $5! So not only did I give her a $5 tip, but she also took $5 from my change! read more

Went in for gel polish pedicure I explained before starting I didn't want exfoliating and wanted bottom of feet softer she said ok. After she painted toes first which was odd then asked me if I wanted to soak in water and told me $57 if water $37 no water. Never in 30+ years of pedicures have had such a thing!! I am a little disappointed in the job done. in the photos you can see what i wanted. some of the nails were crooked and some were not that smooth. the ombré was not fully blended. some of the edges are not fully coated. i paid $105 for these nails. i think over priced. you only pay that much at a HIGH end place and the amount you should pay is $40-$60. i did love the customer service and the place was clean but overall i'm not that happy i feel like i got ripped off... read more

I came in for a honey pedicure with gel polish. The sign showed it as $55.00 and I was told it was $8 more for the gel polish. The pedicure was mediocre at best and my nails all have different lengths/angles and there is polish on my skin. The hot stones weren't even warm and the 10 minute massage was 5 minutes all together for both legs. When it was over I was charged $90! I had been coming here for years, but this was completely unacceptable. read more

After recently having a terrible pedicure here, I decided to give New Posh another try today. Well, it was not only terrible again, it was the worst pedicure I've ever had. It seems that New Posh has turned into a pedicure factory, favoring volume over quality. I got the basic pedicure, which I have always gotten here. What used to take about an hour with drying time, took a half hour. There was no calf and foot massage, really nothing besides a polish removal, very quick and ineffective callous removal and a quick and SLOPPY new polish application. I didn't say anything at the time, having failed to examine the final product because I had a grocery shopping to do next door and I stupidly assumed all was well with my toes. It wasn't until I was in the checkout line at the grocery store that I actually looked down at my toes and I was shocked. There was polish on the skin surrounding both big toes, as well as several other toes. There were air bubbles on the surface of the big toes, evidence that the coats had been applied too quickly. The callouses were still rough. I put my groceries in the car and decided to go back into New Posh and show them the awful pedicure and ask for my money back. I was told they could redo the polish. I explained I had groceries in the car and had to get them home. I again asked for either my money back or a gift certificate for a new pedicure. They refused, something about them being a small business and they could only replace the polish. Never again! I feel this place has really gone down hill and as I previously stated, New Posh seems to value volume over quality. Lucky for me, there are other nearby salons that DO care about a relaxing, quality experience for their clients. read more

Update of review for massage only - remain pleased with nail services. Note that 90 min massage in the back room was merely an extension of a back rub. It was not a 'real' massage whatsoever. I wasn't turned over for the entire 90 minutes. That's not saying the girl was pleasant and strong but if you are looking for a traditional massage, it was not to be found here. This is usually my go to place but after coming there on Mother's Day (with my mother) and spending about $78 only for my nails to look like this one day later....I am NOT happy. It's a regular mani and yes I know that they are not supposed to last more than a week but it's been one day..... and 40% of the nail polish has been chipped off. I do not believe that they are using a good quality top coat because if they were my mani wouldn't have chipped so fast. I wish I read the reviews before going here. The only reason I chose this place over my old one was for the massage they offer a while getting your nails done. Massage was excellent! Everything else was horrible. I had a mani/pedi and I was in and out in less than 40 minutes. When the pedicurist gave me a modest foot/leg rub she forgot to do 1 foot. She put on one coat of polish and a very quick topcoat, so quick that I had to ask her why I didn't get a topcoat. I swear I never saw her do it. Then we went to do my nails. I have never had a manicure at which the technician did not soak my nails first. The technician was ripping my cuticles dry. I got a gel manicure and all in all fingernails are ok but I felt extremely rushed. When I left the salon I took a look at my pedicure and there was still a huge callous at the top of my big toe and the edges of the nails were not done. If I'm able to post a photo of it I will. I will for sure be going back to my old place read more

It was my 2nd visit to this place and I can say I'm never going back. First time it was packed and I felt so rushed. Wasn't the typical relaxing mani/pedi experience. So I decided to give another try since my go-to nail salon was closed. Walked in for a quick regular mani, it was very slow. I said to the owner I came in for a mani. Looked at my nails didn't say anything. He said"gel?" I said " I have a gel on now but no reg. mani please". I previously had a gel on but almost came off except two nails on each hand. Sat down and the manicurist started working on removing the gel and said there's gonna be extra $5 charge. I wasn't happy but do you expect me to walk out in the middle of it? Then the male owner looked at me and said there's a fee. Why didn't the owner let me know before I sat down? Because I wouldn't have gotten it from here or would have gotten a gel instead of a regular mani and having to pay a ridiculous fee to remove the gel. Just be upfront about it and don't surprise the customers in the midst of it. Also I don't like how they have separate people for massage and the mani/pedi. When you're asked "massage?" It's hard to pass and all you want to do is relax then you can't just sit there and relax. You have to tip not one but two. I'm not looking for spending extra $$ and getting stressed out and thinking about how much I have to tip each person. So I spent $10 more than what I had planned for a simple mani. Is it worth it? NO! I got a terrible mani probably the worst. There's a clearly hair on my thumb nail but the manicurist decided to cover it instead of starting all over. My eyes were closed the whole time because I was getting a shoulder massage. When I sat down to dry there are already nicks and bubbles all over and I can clearly see the hair on the nail. Just simply has no skills and you will see my nails shapes are all different with different lengths. My nails just look dirty. Cut too short without being asked. And I hate when they butcher the cuticles and extra skins unnecessarily. And the cuticles weren't properly pushed or cut. I didn't have time for a redo. That nick was so big and fell off and now there's a huge hole. I'm looking at my nails and can't believe I just got the nails done 5 mins. ago. Super clean but I will not be back after trying my first gel (dip) manicure. The technician left glue all over my fingertips, was moved onto another client before finishing my manicure, and when I questioned the glue on my fingers at checkout I was told that it would wash off. They did take a nail file to my hands while I stood by the register - but the glue remains. And while they filed I realized that one of my nails wasn't shaped before the gel was applied. After tip I spent $50 on a manicure that is projected to last three weeks and will remind me of this experience every time i look at my nails. read more

Disappointing experience. We had a group of five for pedicures. We were rushed in. We had two children. One of their pedicures took less than 10 minutes. When brought to the attention of the manager, he offered us lotion as a consolation. A regular pedicure for one adult member took 15 minutes. I was in town for a wedding and needed to get my nails done before the festivities. After looking at a bunch of reviews and weighing convenience vs "stars" I decided to go here. I'm so happy I did. I had to go to my local salon today and have the gels removed - 2 and a half weeks later! (I probably could've gotten three weeks out of it, but didn't want to risk starting to pull it off myself after passing the "point of no return"). My manicure lasted that long without peeling. My technician, Penny, did a fantastic job. Each time she did a coat of paint she made sure to get the edge at the tip to help with durability. I really appreciated this extra effort as it made the manicure last longer than usual. I'm lucky if I get a week and a half normally because I do a lot of typing at work. The pedicure was good as well, but obviously the pedicure is the part that really stood out to me. read more

I had been here twice before and thought I had finally found a place I liked. I'm new to the area. The place is very clean, with good social distancing, masks and partitions. Your temperature is checked at the door. I have gel nails and while the styling was not quite what I wanted (language barrier) I felt I was getting close. Today I went in for a standard gel fill, no cracks or replacements and was charged $62 for a fill. And that is paying cash, I looked at the menu and a gel fill is $38 and was what I was charged last time. I asked and was told it was because I had a color change. Who does a gel fill without color??!! In all the years I've been getting my nails done NEVER. I paid told them I would not be back. The place is a ripoff. read more

I go to Posh every 2-3 weeks for a gel manicure. I am constantly getting compliments on the colors. I would never go anywhere else! Kind staff, clean environment, beautiful long lasting nails, and they almost ALWAYS offer you a massage while you are getting your nails done. My first visit here was fantastic. First, the salon is beautifully designed. A serene, lovely space to relax and decompress. It is impeccably maintained. I love the fact that the pedicure tubs are lined before use and the nail equipment is single use sterilized. My manicurist was lovely and she did a great job. And, the chair massage was awesome! I went here today for the first time and was very satisfied . I called ahead and when I arrived I was seated right away. I got a gel manicure and it looks beautiful. They had many colors to choose from and I didn't feel rushed at all. The inside appears to be very clean and it is a big area. Not cramped at all. The staff was very friendly towards me. I had a nine month old baby with me sitting on my lap and they were all very friendly towards both of us. The person who did my nails was trying to make my daughter laugh and when she dropped her toy he would pick it up for her each time. Very good service and I will be back again.
