They were so kind on the phone and immediately figured us into their busy schedule. The hospital makes you wait in your car and then call or text to check in. Once a room is available they bring you in. If you are not vaccinated they require you to wear a mask. Dr. Buchanan saw my dog and all my worries melted away. He is extremely intelligent and kind. He even got down on the ground and sat with my dog while he was checking his foot. I had lots of questions and he easily answered them. He gave me the information for an emergency after hours vet if needed as well. Overall the staff here is impeccable and truly want the best for your animal. The stitches came out 2 weeks later and everything was great and it didn't take long to get it done, plus it was included with the procedure. Our dog was in so much pain and wouldn't even let us handle her tail anymore. We call first thing on a Friday morning and they were able to fit us in within 20 minutes despite a full schedule that day! Even more so, Dr. Smith took her time to sit down and explain the diagnosis and treatment options for us. She was even able to sedate our dog so that she could have her tail wrapped without panicking and wrote prescriptions for us. I asked the receptionist at the front desk how much the cost of pain management was for an abandoned cat (that I took in) that I had neutered yesterday, she said without hesitation $12.00. I was charged $17.40. This is the main reason I loathe dealing with Veterinarians today. Back in the day, they were honest and actually cared about the pets and their owners, today the vets are more concerned with money and not honesty. What goes around comes around!

The bad: the vet mis-diagnosed a fungal skin infection as a type of alopecia that is common to dogs with my pet's particular coloration. She said there was no treatment and I'd just have to "live with it". After consultation with another vet, the infection was treated with a common anti-fungal creme and shampoo. It's almost completely cleared up now. I don't want to use a vet who mis-diagnosed what was apparently a fairly common skin ailment.

A lot of people still work so it's important that businesses are conducive to working people. It also seems like their prices increased but who knows if it's from the sale or the times. We had to make a change due to them deciding not to open on Saturday mornings. We miss Dr Sarah!
