Good food This looks like a typical takeout Chinese place, complete with very faded overhead pictures of food. You can watch them busily working in the cooking area preparing food for pick up. Although they do not seem to have a website, we were able to use Yelp menu photos to figure out what we wanted and called ahead. The food was ready when we arrived, so we did not stay long. The person we dealt with seemed ok, as did the person we spoke to over the phone. I don't think I saw any tables but a review I wrote a few years ago on another review site mentioned they had a few tables, so maybe they do. Once we got home we found the food pretty good. I went here April 24th, and it wasn't until I stepped inside when I remembered why I've avoided this place for a year. After getting the food, the cashier lady pulled down her mask and sneezed into the air. Not into her elbow, or into her mask, but into the air. Sure there's a partial divider between us, but there isn't one between her sneezing and everyone's orders. And that's when it hit me; last time, back on November 28th (thank you call logs), the same thing happened, except without a mask. I live in Kansas City now, after 10 years in SF. The day I tried this place, I took the NJ Transit from NYC to Nanuet so I could be picked up and taken to a conference center nearby. On the train ride I pulled up Yelp to find what restaurants were close to the station so I could grab lunch. There was a cafe, a pizza place, and Gourmet Chinese. It had good ratings here on Yelp, so I decided to try it. I'm SO glad I did! I ordered the sesame chicken lunch special (white meat, steamed rice) and O.M.G. it was SO good. The chicken was tender, the breading was just right and the sweetness of the sauce was perfect. I wish I lived nearby!! I'd give it 5 stars if I hadn't been handed a styrofoam container (I ordered "for here") of food instead of a real plate or compostable container. read more

This is by far the best chinese take-out place in the area. The spring rolls are just deliciious, wrapped in a light, crunchy wrapper instead of a dense, doughy one which is common in other places. They are more like spring rolls, but with the traditional egg roll filling. Yummy! The wonton soup is fresh and the broth has some good flavor. Pork fried rice is definitely better than most local places that put in frozed peas and carrots, instead they use egg, onion, fresh bean sprouts and lots of tasty bits of meat. One thing they could improve upon is the use of spice in their "spicy" dishes, I like to really have something spicy and it seems like they are afraid to go there. read more

They jacked up the price recently and have 0 customer service skills. If you are their regular customer, they will treat you like trash because they know you'll be spending money there. Suprisingly good for the location and definitely a place to not judge by it's appearance. At here twice during my 3 week stay in Nanuet and it wss good each time. I wanted to switch it up and ordered the triple delight. first, I asked to add garlic sauce. worst, flat sauce I've yet had. the chicken is hard and I found only one shrimp.
