They installed a pipe in front of my garage sealed in concrete and the rest of the driveway was asphalt. They did a great job and I was happy with the work. The only reason I gave 4 stars was because they asked me for a deposit in August saying the work will be done late September. In September, they then told me it would not be until October. As October came around, I followed up with them again. This time, they told me they had not received a deposit from me (meanwhile the check was deposited in August). On top of that, they were annoyed that I had called multiple times. Eventually, it was all sorted out and the work was done beginning of November.

There was a concrete slab where the driveway meets the garage which we needed cut because of a crack. It was supposed to be a straight cut but they jack hammered two of the corners off so it's not straight across the slab. Also, the remaining portion of the slab cracked, I assume from the use of the jack hammer. 2. Even though the garage doors were closed, every inch of my garage was covered with a fine concrete dust. I probably could have done something to minimized this if I knew it was going to happen. 3. The heavy paving equipment chipped the sidewalk at the base of the driveway. 4. As the homeowner, I was periodically checking the progress and was curious about the job. About an hour or two into the work, I got a call from their office asking me if I thought the workers were trying to "cheat" me because apparently I was watching them too much. I did not appreciate the tone of the call and it was not a good way to gain my confidence.

Please beware of using Rx Sealers for any job…read more Started off great as Steve seemed very knowledgeable about the work needed to be done on our driveway but it soon turned very sour. Steve did the power washing of the driveway on a particular day but for the driveway repairs and seal coating, Steve only gave us dates (for when he could do the work) when it was either raining during the day or later that day. As anyone would imagine/know/research, driveway repairs, and rain don't mix well. When we questioned Steve no it, he made it seem like we did not know what we were talking about which was extremely unprofessional. He messaged us one day saying he would do the driveway repairs the next day in the morning. We were only able to see the message very early in the morning the day of and again, it was scheduled to rain that evening. We questioned him again on it, and he insisted on doing the work that morning even though it was scheduled to rain. We eventually canceled that morning as he did not seem interested in doing a quality job that would last. His interest seemed to be in completing the work to get his check. Further, Steve had power washed the driveway a few weeks before (because there was no good day in the middle) and when we canceled because he could find a good time for our job, he insisted on getting paid for the power washing. He CLAIMED to have sent us a bill which we never got, and then one day asked a lady to call us for the check - I informed the lady that we had not received the invoice and had to ask her to stop yelling. She sent a text message with a link to the invoice saying we had to mail in the check. A few days later, I got a call from Steve YELLING at me asking why it was not paid and threatening to take me to court. I had to repeatedly ask him to calm down and when he finally did, I asked if there was any alternative mode of payment as frankly, I do not have a checkbook anymore. He tried to tell me it is 2024 and why I didn't have a checkbook, to which I had to honestly reply saying it is 2024, why does he not have an electronic mode of payment. In short, a terrible experience. Don't use this company.

Roof completed by E&W Precision Roofing yesterday...Back story: Subsequent to a storm event I…read morenoticed some shingles in my yard and some lifted shingles on my roof. Roof was in the neighborhood of 20 yrs old...I contacted our home owners insurance company to report it...The insurance company's field inspector took a look, and it was deemed that the roof qualified for a replacement through my insurance. I was walking the dog one night and discussing my roof situation with my neighbor and he mentioned to me that he had the number of a project manager named Benjamin and they had worked together on a few roofing replacement projects, as my neighbor has a few investment properties...I reached out to Benjamin and he come to my home, walked the roof, and assured me he would be able to work with my insurance company to handle the process. Benjamin reviewed the different roofing material options with us and once we selected a shingle color, he used the Hover app to provide a rendition of what the home would look like with the new roof. Materials for the roof were delivered the night ahead of the installation date. The day of installation the crew arrived around 8 am and started staging their tools and equipment. By around 10 am the old shingles were removed, the plywood inspection was complete, and the ice and water shield was being installed. The crew worked safely and efficiently. I had concerns over our shrubs and flower bed but they took the necessary precautions and tarps to ensure that none of the landscaping was impacted by the project. A crew member was assigned to clean up around the house the whole day to make sure that there were no wrappers, shingles, scraps, or nails left laying around (used magnet wand). The Owner of E&W (Wally) came by 3-4x during the day just to ask how things were going and if I was satisfied with the progress of the work. Benjamin, the project manager was there throughout. E&W was even accommodating when I made the request the day of the project to change the drip edge color from white to cream...Benjamin went to a local roofing supply house and got the color I wanted and came back quickly so as not to cause a hiccup in workflow for the crew. I can't say enough with how impressed I was with the installation crew, the foreman "Flacco", and project manager (Ben). Very happy with the final product (Owens Corning Black Sable) and how it makes the house stand out from the adjacent homes on the block. The roofing installation market is competitive. There are a bunch of contractors in the area, but I def recommend reaching out to E&W (Ask for Benjamin) if you are contemplating a roof replacement project or need a roofing repair. I found E&W to be competent as far as the installation, upfront when describing what to expect, and very tidy, leaving your home as it was prior to the work being completed.

On the day of the job, Sean arrived on time and did an excellent job of blowing off the driveway with a high-powered blower and scraping off any leftover debris. The larger cracks were carefully filled with a rubber sealant by Sean and the seal coating was applied just as carefully. 4 years ago I had another company seal the driveway but the cracks were not filled in because that company does not do that. So over time, the cracks had grown larger. I would highly recommend River City Sealcoating - you may pay more but it is worth it. @River City Sealcoating
