This is my absolute favorite restaurant in the Lansing area. I first tried this place because I was working at a bank and was working on a business deal with the owner. Once I tried food and I was blown away. The staff is extremely nice. I had no idea what to try so I told them what I like and they made an amazing suggestion. I made one change to the dish (I added broccoli). And I was blown away that the next time I came in (about 3 weeks later) The cook (and owner) remembered I added broccoli and added it to my meal (i forgot to order it). One of the best Thai restaurants we have found in the Lansing area. We came here for lunch and really enjoyed ourselves. Lunch comes with a nice soup and egg roll. I had the authentic Pad Thai and it was delicious. My mother in law got the Pad Pak with shrimp and she really enjoyed it - she hasn't eaten much Thai food! My husband got the orange chicken and it was nicely breaded and very flavorful. We will be back again soon! read more

This place is great. The best Thai restaurant in the Greater Lansing area. I went with my husband and a friend of ours. They both had currie dishes and I had pad see ew. Perfect flavor and spice level. We all are vegetarians and they are able to adjust all their dishes to a vegetarian diet, and they have a vegetarian section on their menu. Ambiance is chill. This small restaurant in the center of Okemos has very good Thai food. One of my daughters had the Sesame Chicken, which was crispy and rich in flavor. My other daughter had the veggie fried rice, which had a lot of flavor without too much saltiness. My wife and I had Pad See Ew, which can be greasy, but not here--it was very good. Excellent drunken noodles prepared precisely with the modifications I asked for! I ordered online via Grubhub, and I picked it up myself at the restaurant. My interaction with staff was brief, but seemed friendly. DO NOT ALLOW THE PICTURES DECEIVE YOU! The price looks reasonable. However, when you receive your food, it is horrible looking and the taste is far from par. The quality of the product is definitely not up to par. The curry duck consisted of very slushy sauce that did not coat the duck for that taste. The duck seemed very old and gross looking and tasting. Every dish is made up of vegetables that were used as a filler to cover up for the lack of the main ingredient. The egg roll and the spring roll are absolutely awful. The egg roll consisted of very old and dry chicken inside while the spring roll lacked substance over all. The Red Pad Thai is cooked with that red sweet sour sauce, which over kills all the other taste. If you want boiled water for your tom yum soup, this is the place for you! Service was the only thing that was up to par. It is not worth your time and money to even try this place. Unless the restaurant hold themselves up to a higher standard and taste, I will ABSOLUTELY NOT return to this "Thai" restaurant. read more

Came here on a Thursday night with a friend. Place was pretty empty. We both ordered the shrimp tom yum soup to start. The soup was ok - but it came with 3 pieces of shrimp!!!!!! The food was just alright IMO I got the pad Thai with crab ragoons the pad Thai was alright the noodles were a bit too done for my liking and the chicken was chewy like it was fully cooked but felt undercooked some how? The portion size seems a bit small at first glance but for the price it was worth I think. The crab ragoons were good hard to mess them up and they threw in a spring roll which was very nice of them. The location of the place is a bit odd and somewhat hard to get to depending on where you are coming from. All in all I would give this place another shot. read more

Usually get the pad thai or red curry with very good results. I ordered the drunken noodles yesterday, and it was definitely the best dish I have had there. I've ordered takeout from here a few times and it's always been so-so. My wife always argued that it's always better when you eat there. I decided to on lunch one day and I wasn't disappointed. Service was great, pricing was good, and the food was great! They actually remade my food because I asked for "hot", and it banging! The server saw that I was sweating after the first couple bits and insisted that they remake it with a little less spicy. It was perfect after that. This is the best Thai food I've ever had. Their curry fried rice is especially good, mild or spicy. Admittedly, I wouldn't enter this restaurant based on its external appearance, but I went after my co-worker let me try his leftovers. The interior of the restaurant is nicely decorated in a style that matches the food. The staff are always very friendly. My two favorite things about this place (besides the food, obviously), are the speed at which your food comes out, and that the staff leaves a full pitcher of ice water on every table. Typically, food comes out within about 5-10 minutes of ordering and is piping hot. I couldn't recommend this place enough. read more

Probably the best Thai in the area. Food is great and is well priced. Staff is very attentive. I have no complaints.

First off the staff was friendly and the food arrived surprisingly fast. That second part should have made me very suspicious. The food at least resembled what i had seen in the pictures. I had Red Pad Thai curry and my friend had Kang Kai. I'm convinced the red was ketchup with extra corn syrup. The noodles were very soggy and the bamboo shoots smelled like they were expired. I couldn't finish it all so i took the rest to go just so i could throw it away myself. A few days later I still feel nauseous. I fear it may never go away. I was very surprised for a place that was highly rated and presented itself as something better. Don't bother coming here; If you want good Thai food, there are just so many better Thai places to eat in the area, such as Naing Myanmar, Thai Princess, Thai Villiage, Thailand in Old Town, Bangkok House and several at Michigan State, and all of them can do better than bottom tier fast food. I was a huge fan of Thai Kitchen when it was in East Lansing and so disappointed when it closed down. I've been looking for a replacement every since and never really found anywhere I liked nearly as much. So I was THRILLED when I heard they were reopening in Okemos! They've been open for about 3 weeks now and I've already eaten there at least five times. The food is AMAZING and the owner and staff and very kind. I like the new decor better than the old place as well. They will work with you to help you customize your food so it's just how you want it as well. I highly recommend! Late on writing a review for this place, but I have been to this at least 4 times so you could say I really enjoy this place. Definitely a nice Thai restaurant to sit down and enjoy a meal rather than do a grab-n-go. I have been able to try quite a few dishes from here such as the Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, and the last and best......PEANUT CURRY NOODLE. This dish specifically won my heart over. I really want to try new things every time I go in but I have hit a dilemma since I cannot pass up ordering this dish. Let's just say I leave with leftovers, but the leftovers are gone the same day. Only reason why I would not give this place 5 stars is because the service is kinda slow and rather weird. Usually people receive their meals all at once, but at this restaurant like 1 or 2 people are served at the table and the others have to wait a few extra minutes to get their own meal. I wish we could all eat at the same time here but I still believe the food is worth it. Another item to try is their vegetarian spring rolls with sweet and sour sauce and also the peanut sauce. Pretty good. We had 3 dishes - Pad See Yu (sp?), Drunken Noodles, and Panang Curry. The first two were good but the curry was very uninspired (carrot slices, pieces of chicken, and Panang sauce). As many have mentioned, this is the reincarnation of Thai Kitchen that used to reside in East Lansing and was one of my favorite restaurants. I am glad to see that they are back. I have been several times and have experienced both good and bad outings. The bad usually involves a busy lunch crowd - service is slow, forgetful and takes much longer to get food. Thankfully, this has not happened very frequently. They are usually quite attentive and efficient - I say "they" because you may have 3 or more different people visit your table. One matter I would like to address, and was quite disappointed to learn is that they charge an additional $2+ to substitute brown rice in a dish. Ouch! A reasonable lunch price just became not so reasonable. There are at least a few restaurants in the area that make this substitution without an added charge. read more
