The staff is incredibly rude. I went to drop off clothes and was given a look of disgust for not making an appointment. Somehow they found time in their busy schedule (it was in the middle of the workday and there were 2 people in the store) to look through my stuff. As she was explaining that everything needed to be cleaned (duh?! Do I look that disheveled that I would bring in dirty clothes?!) and dry cleaned, I looked down to see that she had "accidentally dropped" my jacket on the dirty floor. I guess my stuff isn't worthy of the care that they require of clothes being brought in. Bottom line: I will never go back nor will I ever recommend this place to anyone. I didn't buy anything today because I had an interview close by but the customer service was really nice. The sales associate was honest and super friendly. I will be going back, perhaps today. I did see a few cute dresses and shoes. When I asked the sales associate were my feet slipping, she gave me an honest affirming they were. She could've lied and just let me purchase them. I wish they had a little more variety but they most likely cater to their customer base. I saw a lot of cute dresses for summer time. The sandal selection was good as well. read more

This shop is as good as it gets for consignment high class all the way! I have shopped in them all from New York to Chicago. The staff is phenomenal. They carry the finest in couture lines and then wearable everyday designer lines. You can find an Armani evening gown to Yves St. Laurent you name it. On the ready to wear side they carry Max Mara, Juliana Collezione, Akris, Jil Sanders, Marc Jacobs etc..all your finer upper end designers at a fraction of the price. If you are a Saks girl you know what I am talking about. If you know your labels and what these items truly cost then you know a deal when you see it. This is by far one of the best. There bag line is also top notch from Chloe to Louis you can find any little bag to accent your arm. They just put out alot of new spring itemsand resort wear. I was lucky enough to get in as the lines were being changed over. What a bonanza right now. Fabulous clothes some brand new with the tags unbelievable!!! I waltzed out with a beautiful Nanette Lepore dress for an upcoming wedding new with tags attached $375 which I paid 1/4 the retail for in fabulous emerald green absolutely everything I could want. I am still lamenting the Calvin Klein white label sheath dress I left still considering returning for it. It was to die for... get in there quickly the selection is Primo!!!!! read more

If you need something for a special occasion, or if you're interested in designer labels at lower prices, you should swing by New to You and let the staff assist you. The owner has a great sense of style, and so do several of her employees. (Yes, that sequined skirt can work for you!) As at any smaller consignment place, the selection in your size on a given day will be hit-or-miss. I've definitely found some hits here. Because I'm not focused on labels, I find the prices for some items to be higher than I'd like to pay. As a consignor, though, the higher price point is great. I've consigned a couple of items at New to You and been very pleased with how quickly they sold and how much money I recouped. read more

I stopped in here recently for the first time and took a look around. The clothes seemed nice but very overpriced. When I happened to check the winter scarves, I noticed there was one from a company I am familiar with because I have several of those exact same alpaca scarves (same brand, same everything). The price here for that consignment scarf was $15 MORE than the maker is currently charging for a brand new scarf exactly the same! When I saw that, they lost me (as if they hadn't already) and I left immediately. WAY OVERPRICED. read more

This place is still consistently fab. They had a Dries Van Noten dress there today and it was a steal! The staff is always friendly and helpful, and parking is plentiful in the rear. I just LOVE this store. I have consigned here multiple times and have shopped here multiple times, and each time is a great experience. They have really cute, trendy, high end, up to date designer items in great condition. I would say the clothing is geared to 20-30's rather than an older (50's) crowd. Lots of great designer jeans, funky costume jewelry, and great shoes. If you're consigning, things sell really well here, but they are really picky about what they'll take (e.g. must be higher end item in current style & in pretty much perfect condition). I have been a fan of New to You since it opened. While I now live in NY, I vist whenever I am in town about six times a year. Over the years I have bought many items and whenever I wear them, people comment positively and ask me where I got it. That's my favorite thing about NTY: all items are unique and one of a kind! In addition to clothes, I also buy jewlery, shoes, gifts, and hand bags. The staff knows me and my style and I feel like I get personal assistance. I am truly appalled at the ugly reviews of Christina and her adorable staff. I have been coming to New To You for over 10 years both as a consignor and a customer (since 1998). I have never been treated rudely, I have always found adorable wonderful awesome finds for great prices for the high end merchandise they sell ( i.e the Hermes watch, Dolce and Gabbana Shoes, Hermes Scarves and fabulous jewelry I have found and purchased at this wonderful store) and I have always been treated with respect. So when I read these reviews that say that Christina and the staff are rude...and the merchandise is not up to par...perhaps the person writing such comments is not up to par and rude themselves....I have had nothing but wonderful experiences here and my husband adores the staff too past and present. Christina is particular about what she brings into her store for merchandise....and this ensures that as a customer you are getting quality merchandise. I LOVE NEW TO YOU!!! read more

As both a shopper and consignor, I think New to You is one of, if not the best consignment stores in the area for high-end items. As a brand-new consignor two years ago, I dropped off a beautiful brand new Coach wallet at NTY and then got busy with work and completely forgot about it. I remembered this a couple of weeks ago as I began looking into consigning more items with stores in the area. So I contacted NTY and was told that my wallet had in fact sold and that they could issue my check for it the next week! Had I consigned with many of the other stores in the region with far more restrictive policies for consignors, I am sure that I never would have seen that check, which I happily picked up last week. And from a shoppers perspective, NTY is a well laid-out and curated collection with higher end items in all price ranges and attentive but not overbearing customer service. I came away with a beautiful top for a great price and will surely be back both as a shopper and consignor in the future. read more

So OVER this place! I keep hoping for a better experience every time I walk through the doors but it's the same thing every time: The sales associates are too preoccupied trying on the merchandise and singing along to the music to acknowledge or assist their customers! Even attempting a conversation with any of them is hopeless. All my questions were responded to with one word answers. You would expect a small consignment shop to want to engage their customers but DON'T expect it here. The vibe is UNFRIENDLY and DISMISSIVE. I might give them a free pass if the MERCHANDISE was unique but they don't even have that going for them. The selection is super-disappointing: Dated, uninteresting pieces that seem a bit on the mature side. There are too many other great consignment shops out there to waste my time with an ENTITLED group of sales associates who have NOTHING to offer their customers. read more
