We've been here a few times- the drinks are good (beer is brewed in house!), the food is amazing (John is the chef) and the staff are so wonderful. Last time Andrew was our server and every drink and dish was perfectly timed so we didn't feel rushed. The Parisian gnocchi was amazing- I could have eaten multiple dishes of it. I'm not much of a cheesecake person but this limoncello one was divine. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's an old building and so much is original- it's a wonderful spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This was our first time here after hearing nothing but rave reviews. It definitely lived up to our expectations! The space: a beautifully restored historic building with unique dining areas to choose from. We ate in the dining room on the main floor. We also explored upstairs and the tavern. We can't wait to go back and eat in the different rooms. The food: so incredibly tasty and different from everything else in the area. My bibimbap was delicious and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his pork. The fries and dessert were amazing as well. The beer: we both got flights and between the two of us tried everything they had on tap. There wasn't a single disappointment in the bunch. We particularly enjoyed the rye, märzen, and pear ale. The staff was all super friendly and made sure things were moving smoothly. It was my husband's birthday and they put a candle in his dessert and they all made sure to wish him a happy birthday. Since the menu changes every 8-9 weeks, we'll be sure to add this to our regular rotation.

I had the opportunity to stop over in Williamsport for a night. The first thing I did after hitting the hotel was to wander over to John Ryan hoping for a great meal. The food did not disappoint. The collard greens were delightfully seasoned. The cornbread was unlike any I've had before with a soufflé like texture. Delicious! The fried quail, while hard to eat, had a lovely crispy batter that broke into crunchy, savory pieces I could enjoy with each bite. The service was another matter. My server seemed distracted and uninterested compared to the server of the table next to me. I also don't need to be asked three times if it is just me dining. Yes, party of 1. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I enjoyed the large patio and would definitely return next time in town.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The food was absolutely incredible. Stacey, our server was a 10/10. Friendly, funny, made great recommendations and was just an added bonus to a great experience. My only regret is not ordering more food. We had appetizers, entrees and desserts and loved every bite. Every plate was clean. A must go to in Williamsport.

The inside has a cool ambiance, and they make good use of their space. The drinks are kinda pricey for the area but they are unique and well crafted. The food is special, no Sysco junk here (iykyk). I haven't tried their craft beers, but if its anything like their food you should give it a try. parking can be a bit rough when downtown gets busy, but make the trip over here if you can.

High on the Frog…read more Locally-owned and operated brewery and brewpub that's been in operation for nearly forty (ca. 1986) years. They're located in the heart of Downtown Williamsport and bring their A game when it comes to food and brews. The Good: *Great location right across from the theater (we were there to see a graduation) *Friendly service *Small dog-friendly front patio *Live music *Sunday Brunch *Fried Pierogis were delicious and served up hot and fresh. I wish they were a little more seasoned, as the mashed potato filling needed more salt. But ain't that the way taters always is? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ *Carissa loved her Korean BBQ Salmon Salad, as the fish was cooked perfectly and the house KBBQ sauce was delicious. *Huge draft list of housemade beers, ciders, and even sodas. *My Pittsburger was epic! Talk about a meal in one handful: burger, slaw, and fries all packed neatly between two soft pillowy buns made this a Man vs Food episode in the making. The Meh: *Free but limited street parking. There are several small lots adjacent but I'm not sure what their limitations are. The Ugly: *The place can fill up fast, especially if there's an event/show at the aforementioned theater. Conclusion: Great beer, ambiance, and food. Say less.
