Went yesterday from their reviews on Yelp. Which Did Not say they were are a Take Out restaurant, with tables so as to also eat there. No real plates and silverware Just plastic utensils, plastic cups and containers, and paper plates. Tea was premade in the refrigerator and needed to be re-heated. No green tea. Had chicken soba noodle soup - broth was yummy. But it was difficult to eat in its large plastic to go container. Wife had vegetable yaki soba noodles, and thought the veg were crisp and tasty. The seaweed salad was ok. Still and all, Not a real Japanese restaurant. Not great service. So sorry to write a negative review. read more

I was so excited about ordering based on the reviews but I hate to say, I did not like it at all. The food had no taste whatsoever, meat seems to be a low quality of meat or something. I was excited about the steak and cheese roll and couldn't eat them. The taste and consistency of the meat was questionable. I had high hopes but not the Japanese Hibachi I love! I ordered soba noodles with shrimp for carry out. When I got home, I found out that what they're selling for soba noodles is just spaghetti. Soba noodles are made from buckwheat and have a totally different flavor. To make matters worse, the miso soup was thin and watery and didn't taste like miso. Very disappointing. read more

"Katsu" came as fried chicken, mostly breading, not with a nice breadcrumb finish. Sauce tasted like ketchup. Steak wontons inedible, gyoza only slightly more so. Wanted to hit Monticello today, but the rainy weather changed my mind. Needed to run an errand in Madison Heights anyways figured I'd do that and maybe find somewhere new to eat. Looked around yelp and decided on here. The place was very clean and the waitress was very upbeat and very nice. Maybe because it had just opened there were not many people, but we enjoyed that. The service was extremely fast and the food tasted really good and with generous portions. The ginger dressing seemed house made, loved that. Not in the area too often, but will be coming back again. ** after our order was taken I mentioned they didn't ask how we wanted our steak cooked. We both eat ours different but both enjoyed how it was cooked. If that's big how it's prepared make sure you maybe ask or recommend. Since the sides and steak were under $20 it was no biggie as long as it wasn't burnt and this was nothing near that, just really good. Wow this place is awesome! They actually use real filet unlike another restaurant like this about 8 miles away. Steak cooked perfect, veggies cooked good rice well hard to mess up rice. But my grandmother messed it up all the time. Anyway back to restaurant. Mushrooms could be a sliced a little thinner. The chicken was good as well. Price went up a little but it was dirtbag cheap. But my fillet and chicken and my sons fillet meal only went up $1.73 so still not bad at all. read more

Just ate here after a long day on the road. Was an unexpected pleasure. At first it was a little hard to tell where the restaurant was, because the dining room is not visible from the sidewalk. Once inside I found it to be Simply appointed and elegant in its own way. The Food was excellent, the portions generous and the price very reasonable. The biggest surprise was the staff. Particularly a singularly charming and petite woman named Yong Ling who took our order and served us. All told it was a worthwhile and memorable visit. So let's start with this! My family and I loved the food we always did carryout. The past 2 months have sucked. 1st we ordered picked up and took it home. Once home we noticed our order wrong. I called they laughed and argued with me. I eventually got my order repalaced. 2nd time around I ordered no sesame seeds. They had to cook the food 3 times because they kept putting it in the food with me standing their. 3rd and last time! 12-11-18 we ordered and picked up as usual. Once my husband started to eat his food he noticed a screw in his broccoli. I Immediately took the food back. Once they were told and shown the cook laughed and argued with me. So I noticed I had a draft, Duh!! I haven't been in awhile but it's a cute lil place. The food is delicious. I really love the house salad. The dressing is very light, refreshing & wonderful. I don't recall what I had now!! I want to say teriyaki. We went at least 3 times. Some reviewer I am. My hub said it was just okay, but that's code for not big enough servings.
